We had a sage that had been allowed to overgrow by our prior service such that completely covered our main water access, was growing into our neighbor's property and encroaching on our driveway. I wanted it trimmed back to about a 2 ft diameter bush, or removed and replaced. They recommended letting them cut it back to the trunk rather than removing it and said it it did not come back to my satisfaction they would remove and deduct the cost of cutting it back. For a few weeks this spring we had what looked like an ugly stick protruding from the ground but within a short time we have a thick beautiful sage about 2 feet in diameter.
