If I could leave at zero I would. My parents had previous work done on their awning in 2021. I…read morecalled them to repair it 2 weeks ago. I called several times and they never answered. I left several messages they never called back. I called again days later & they answered. They had someone go out and give me an estimate and I was told they could get to it on a certain day, that day came and went with no phone call. I called the following day to find out when they were going to get out for the repair. The woman who answered the phone said she had no idea. NO IDEA? What? There is no communication between the front, the workers and the customer, whatsoever. A little back story, when they had previously worked on my parents awning, they put in the wrong size of screws. So it had been going on for years, screws falling out but my Dad would just screw them back in. They would work their way out again, which was a constant thing but it had been too long since they did the work for my Dad to bring it to their attention. (I didnt live in AZ in 2021 so I had no idea this was happening almost weekly). When they came to do an estimate, they admitted that they put in the wrong size screws 5 years earlier. Now it's time for them to do the actual work. And then they don't show up, then they say it's going to be a another week before they can get to it. I wasnt happy about that but was going to take that appointment anyway, he interrupted and said " you know what, to make it easier on everybody I suggest you go find someone else"! They didn't want to deal with my issue and that they're really not making any money off of my small job, just go somewhere else. In the meantime, its been 2 weeks of waiting for them to show up, now I have to start the whole process over. Needless to say, I was shocked that a company would tell me to go somewhere else because they didn't make enough money on my job or want to deal with the situation, but in midsentence of trying to respond, he hung up on me! Mesa Awning does not stand behind their work. Word-of-mouth can be the best advertising and/or the worst advertising. I would never go to this company ever again and I will tell everyone I know not to use Mesa Awning. I looked at some other reviews and apparently the communication hasn't gotten better in 5 years. Also they dont clean up after themselves which is a big turn-off for anyone. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your awning needs!

We love our east valley home but our backyard was in the full Arizona sun all day preventing us…read morefrom fully utilizing the patio or pool. Any amount of landscaping would only partially shade the yard and not the area we used most. We did try a couple of gazebo style canopies from Amazon and a very large off-set umbrella from a local store but they both collapsed during wind/dust storms (the umbrella almost immediately and the canopies the second year). We needed to invest in something more permanent that would stand up to our crazy wind storms and the unrelenting sun. We called the Outside Shade Company who quickly provided us with recommendations and a quote for two sails. We made a couple changes (two additional sails) which the Outside Shade Company happily added for us without complaint and at a discount. In the end, they installed four shade sails, three over the pool and pool decks and one small rectangle to shade our covered patio from the morning sun. The poles are sturdy steal with welded rings cemented into the ground and are painted to match the house. The sails are a quality mesh-like material that provides shade and protection from the harmful UV rays without interfering with our enjoyment of the Arizona sky. The complete job took a little longer than expected due to the busy summer season but were installed just in time for peak swimming weather and well worth the wait. The Outside Shade Company is a great company to work with and I highly recommend them for your outside shade project.

Phoenix Tent & Awning was able to come over within 24 hours of my initial call to do a consultation and show me my options. Della was super friendly and helped me decide what we wanted. Who knew that there were so many options for an awning?! You literally design your awning(s) completely custom from the Sunbrella fabric design, stitching color, size, trim design, etc. I was overwhelmed but Della helped guide me. We had a minor installation hiccup (because we have shutters and they aren't used to installing the spears into the shutter itself) but the final result is GORGEOUS. It also took 12 weeks to get because of COVID-19 delays, but it was worth the wait. I am in love and every time that I drive by, it makes my heart so happy! I would highly recommend them for the price, quality, and service.

"They haven't come in yet" Then I get a call 3 weeks ago from Andrea in the office saying they finally came in. I told her it would be a couple of days before I could get and she said no problem. Not ONE of the numerous phone calls that my brother and I made have been returned. Now it's November, and we are here in Mesa to sell the house. We no longer want a new awning, as we won't see that return when we sell. My brother has gone to Bill's location three times, and has been told a different lie each time. The office women even yelled at him (great customer service!). Today, he was told they couldn't return our money, so my brother said we'll just have to go to court. This comment was met with little more than a shrug. It's pretty sad that companies like Bill's Awnings steal money from, and take advantage of, old people--even after they're dead! They have no intention of actually doing the job. If you're considering giving this company a down payment, I would think twice. They're probably just using your down payment to meet their payroll. I wonder how many other people have had their down payment stolen from them. More importantly, I wonder how these people live with themselves.
