Our kitchen cabinet problems started with a dishwasher leak that soaked and wrecked half of our lower cabinets: We couldn't match our remaining cabinets and had to replace all of them. We did a pretty thorough search of firms that could demolish our old cabinets and install new ones, and we had a fairly good idea of the costs to expect. One problem we faced was that we didn't know anyone personally who'd had a good kitchen-remodel experience to report. So we had to base our decision on reviews and our impressions of the people who came out to price and plan the job. I'll try to make this review informative. I was concerned about the price, the quality of the work, the time frame for completion, the adaptability to unexpected issues and the willingness to act on an exchange of ideas, and the degree of disruption to our lives. The price for the final finished product turned out to be different from the original price quoted because my wife and I changed the scope of work. Nonetheless, my wife and I could still compare the final price with what we had found in my initial research. As it turned out, they gave us a good deal on the price, the quality of the work was excellent, the work was completed quickly (mostly within a week) and with a minimum of muss and fuss. The people they sent out to do the work were all very skilled and easy to talk to. They were receptive to our ideas and came up with good suggestions of their own. We are delighted with the work done by Modern Home Remodeling, to install a classy tiled shower, repaint the interior and replace carpets. Their project manager clearly listened to our needs and wants = to freshen rather than redesign, to keep the oak vanities and good-condition countertops, to correct small "problems" that we'd lived with for decades, and to focus on changes that we'll enjoy in the ten years that we still plan to live in this home. The tiled shower transformed the shower experience, brought spaciousness to a small room, and was done by an accommodating and experienced crew. The project manager expedited the schedule, committing to a start date of February 20 but beginning the work a month earlier and finishing by February 28, 2023. He brought tile and carpet samples to the house, that both followed the earth tones in our home and created a light pattern-rich tiled shower. Our disruption and moving of personal items was minimized as the painting was done in four days and was followed three days later by a one-day carpet installation. Have worked with Benjamin and Alon before and didn't hesitate to call on them again to reside our garage/workshop as well as reroof the building. Alon and Benjamin came and discussed at length the project and gave us an estimate within our budget. Their crews were top notch. The old siding was removed almost surgically, the job was cleaned up every day and the crew was easy to communicate with. Benjamin came at least every other day to see the progress and the foreman George was onsite to answer questions and supervise everyone. Also the company had a young lady, Tal, who came late every day to take pictures of the progress and document the jobs progress. She also relayed any questions or concerns to Benjamin or George.
