Owner saw my review, made a plan to come check things out. Upon checking things out I was validated that the fan was a faulty one so they got everything fixed up and went on their way. THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE! I wish it had happened earlier since I spent hundreds of dollars on electricians and a lot of time trying to figure out what was going on in back and forths (1 year +)..with the manufacturer. Lesson learned that the best path is to get to the owner of the business. Once we were in communication he took care of everything right away. Totally not their fault that a single fan they carried happen to be a faulty one. I really appreciated the follow through from this business owner. read more

I puchased a beautiful bathroom fixture one year ago. I was told it held LED lights. Recently one of the bulbs burnt out and in removing the glass enclosure found that it didn't look like a LED light bulb. The bulb had no identifying info on it so I went back to Desert Lighting Solutions to report that though I thought I was buying a fixture with LED lights the bulb did not last more than a year. The sales clerk identified the bulb as a halogen and thought they might not have any more. After searching his inventory he found one. He took it out of the box to make sure it was a match and placed it on the counter. After he confirmed that it was the proper bulb, he left it on the counter. I picked it up. Then we put it back in its box. At that point I read on the side of the box, "do not touch with bare hands". I said to the clerk, we handled with our bare hands and his comment was, "You did but I didn't" Wouldn't you think he would warn me not to handle the bulb with my bare hands. I can't believe he said that. I told him he just lost a customer and his reply was "over a light bulb". No over the fact that you sold me an LED light fixture that wasn't an LED light fixture and then didn't warm me to leave my paws off the bulb. read more

It's such a pleasure to find a lighting store that honors what they promise and delivers when they say they will! Our sales rep, Mike, helped me select the perfect fixture for our guest bathroom remodel, and responded to several calls I made to confirm dimensions & details so we could insure the installation went smoothly. We were looking for someone to put in spotlights to highlight some new artwork. The Desert Lighting website seemed to be oriented towards commercial clients but I contacted them thinking they could refer me if necessary. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they indeed serviced individual homeowners and provided free in-home consultation. An appointment was set up and Jeff came out and surveyed the situation, providing an estimate which I thought was reasonable. He was clearly knowledgeable regarding alternatives and potential issues with each alternative. We proceded and he arranged for a contractor to do the installation on a weekend. To my surprise, both Jeff and the contractor showed up at the appointed time so that Jeff could make sure there was no miscommunication as to what needed to be done. I dropped into the store today frustrated because I have been having great difficulty finding two pendant lights for over six weeks! I went in by virtue of their name, "Solutions" which was what I needed!! Jeff listened to my issue and figured it out quickly! He showed me a ceiling plate, its workings and probable problem, spoke to my handyman several times, and patiently walked me through catalogs knowing the type of light I was looking for.
