Desert Lawn Memorial Park welcomes dogs to our park, however we respectfully request that dog owners keep their dogs on a leash and with them on the site in which that they are visiting. We also request that dog owners clean up after their dog if their dog makes a bowel movement. When a dog is seen off of the leash we receive complaints from other visitors/consumers. The review posted on yelp from the owner of the dog Macie, has posted false allegations/slander. On the day that it was explained to Macie's owner, we were honest about the complaints that we received and we were understanding in the moment as the dog Macie was barking off leash, barking at our crew members, at their ankles. We did not harass the dog Macie, we explained that we love all dogs but to please keep Macie on the leash. We further explained in a gentle and compassionate manner that due to the complaints, we needed to bring it to owners attention ( Macie's owner in this case). The complaints received by consumers matched the description of the car that was reported, so that is why Macie's owner and her friend were approached, as well as Macie being off leash that day as well. Again, visiting with a dog is permitted and welcomed at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, however a dog must be on leash and friendly. Desert Lawn's groundsmen should NOT have a dog coming at them, off leash, and barking. Visitors should NOT be made to feel uncomfortable coming to our private cemetery and seeing a dog off leash running in the garden. Our cemetery is a private cemetery and it is our priority to make sure that all entering are following our Rules and Regulations. All family and friends that have a loved one at our cemetery deserve to have a peaceful visit as they heal from their loss. All visitors are subject to being asked to provide their photo identification, as per our Rules and Regulations. Admission to our private cemetery may be denied at any time should the Rules and Regulations be violated. Approaching a visitor who has a dog off leash, when complaints have been received, is not us being rude, nor abusing our authority. Stating that the lady was rude is false and a defamation of her character, as well as defaming the staff of the business, telling others not to come to our memorial park. With respect we remind all dog owners that our cemetery welcomes dogs, however we are not a dog park. When entering Desert Lawn Memorial Park you are entering private property. Beautiful resting place for my father, stepson, brother, uncle, nanny, and adoptive mother, grandmother and grandfather. This memorial park is green most of the year, unless the conditions are freezing and the grass is dormant. The entire staff is family owned and operated, working long hours to serve the community, with affordable pricing. Desert Lawn Memorial Park is a non- profit organization with the state of California. Some of the reviews on this site are slander and false, with many untruths. Desert Lawn was NOT IN VIOLATION WITH MULTIPLE VIOLATION, that review is FALSE and the person stating such is committing slander. If a family truly took the time to get to know the staff, they would see the long hours, dedication and compassion, the true empathetic love that they have to share and offer. The only thing with DESERT LAWN MEMORIAL PARK being non profit, with budget to keep the pricing affordable, when you call them, you may have to leave a message, due to them assisting a family when you call. My visit to Desert Lawn Memorial Park was on June 17, 2025. As the Juneteenth celebration was so near, June 19, 2025 celebrating the Emancipation Proclamation an executive order issued by U.S. President Abraham Lincoln on January 1, 1863, during the Civil War which declared that all slaves in the rebellious Confederate states were to be freed, I decided to drive from out of town to visit my grandparents resting place as I thought about their contribution to the struggle that still exists in our society. It's been over 40 years since I've visited their gravesite. Thank God I called ahead time because I was immediately forwarded a map of their resting place which made it so easy to find amongst a multitude of other headstones in the park. The Memorial Park was unsoiled without litter or debris, well maintained with luscious green grass and included majestic shade trees to withstand the unbearable heat. I was left with a sense of serenity and peace. I enjoyed a beautiful visit. My grandparent's double grave marker was well maintained after 40 years and very much appreciated by myself and my family. First let me say - I do not write reviews. However, I have to write something for Brenda and the wonderful family that has owned and taken care of this beautiful park for many many years. I lost my beloved husband and wanted to place him where the family could visit him easily. I met with Brenda, a most loving and caring person who is the epitomy of God's love shining through a person. I was in grief so strong I could barely even think much less figure out what to do. Brenda was patient and caring with me and guided me through the process so that I left knowing all was taken care of. Update to 17 months later, I am having a stone placed and again, Brenda and her staff have been extremely accommodating and helpful in guiding me to the right place and I know that when it arrives, they will take the same care and love in placing it. Brenda and her staff care!!! About everyone!!! I cannot recommend a place to give your loved one eternal peace than Desert Lawn! May God continue to bless you Brenda, you are indeed His Servant!!! this place is a joke i was visiting a friend the other day and was told they received complaints from others that i was a problem that people dont feel safe to visit their loved ones because i had my dog off her leash but funny enough ive been taking macie (dog) to the cemetery everyday since she was a month old shes 16 months now and yet no one had said anything to me until they got a new grounds keeper he didnt like that i was there with my dog so they came and harassed macie and i as we were just sitting having lunch with an old friend sucks that some people take a job as a power role and have to try to belittle others but thats fine my other family and friends will not be put here if u cant morn the loss of ur loved ones the way u want then why have them put here so just a heads up to those who want or plan or visiting ur loved ones dont put them here the lady is extremely rude read more

Very, very pleased with Brenda and staff at Desert Lawn. I'm from out of state and getting the required permit for my father was a little confusing to say the least. He had already purchased a spot with his family, so I thought it was taken care of. So, with Brendas help, and patience, we were finally able to lay him to rest. Lots of phone calls and so many questions, Brenda and staff, professionally handled the situation with me and many family members in the area to help out. I have tons of respect with all that they have to deal with, especially in these times of health worries and frustrated people. I had a difficult time finding my long lost mothers grave who I never met and once I made a phone call the amazing lovely Brenda was so helpful and kind and caring. She went out of her way personally to help me beyond what she had to do. She made my difficult journey so much easier and better! This is the second time that l am posting this review. I am unsure why my first review was removed. I can not describe how much Brenda has done for my family. Because of her, my husband and his relatives can find closure. This was only possible due to Brenda's unwavering support and seamless integration of services of identifying the plot, engraving of the granite marker and placement of the marker, all within a 2 week period. Now operated and run by the majority of my family, it blesses me to bless the community with our dedication, working long hours of volunteer work. I can honestly say that I have reached out to the family that owns the park and that they try their hardest to deal with each needs of each family and to give their attention on the matters at hand. Brenda was exceptional in helping us through this extremely hard time. when most cemeteries were an hour plus from my brothers home only offering one grave. Desert Lawn was 10 minutes away and she made sure my brothers husband had a place right beside his late husband.
