I had to call repeatedly to learn what had happened after Don so kindly and fake concernedly promised her remains return within a few weeks. No on returned my phone calls. They excused it to having my wrong phone number. Interestingly to have such a mistake when you have to complete most forms on line directly and he could use the correct number to try and upsale additional items for increased cost... Second try was from unexpected death of father , at home in a quick hospice placement in July 2024. Due to the hospice physician's errors in death report LA County was required to complete an autopsy which required medical records. However, Don and his group never got back to me about problem and it took almost 3 months to get the Coroner the hospital records and treatments. Then within a week of me getting them and speaking directly with the Coroner he was cremated. However, again had to call repeatedly to inquire as to when his remains were available. Again no consistent return of phone calls. Don and his daughter could never remember my father's or my name and had to look for records, so not too concerned and obviously have problems with many many clients. Save your family more heartache and frustration and go with another group , as it will be more timely and not cost anymore either. If I could give a negative rating I would.

After the pickup we were told that a representative would reach out to us the following day so we could start making arrangements. They didn't call till 3 days later even after leaving them multiple messages! Imagine not knowing what's happening to your loved one or where they are located after they died. Our assigned rep only called AFTER I switched to Anubis Cremations and had arrangements for the body to be brought to their facilities. Wesleigh was so easy to work with. She picked up my call right away and took care of everything. She communicated every step of the way. I told her that my uncle who is a priest will be arriving in 2 weeks and we would like for the cremation and memorial service to happen while he was here. She mentioned that it's a very tight schedule but she would try to make it happen. And she 100% delivered!!! Within an hour of my initial call she had my auntie's body arranged for pickup, she sent paperwork to us and the doctor so she could start the process of filing the death certificate. The church where we wanted the memorial service wouldn't let us reserve a time till they had a cremation date. We were able to get the cremation date within a few days. We opted for a private open viewing at the crematory in Van Nuys. The crematory only does night time viewing which worked well for us since our family is busy working during the day. Wesleigh's coworker Jonathan took great care of us at the viewing. The place had a room for up to 15 people where family members could sit with the casket prior to the cremation. They dressed our auntie in her formal barong and jewelry. We were allowed to provide flowers, letters, and mementoes in the cardboard casket. Jonathan gave us sharpies so we could write notes on the casket. There were aslo tissues and an easel for our use. Although the viewing was technically 15 minutes, we were not rushed and were given about 20-25 minutes to do a prayer service and say our goodbyes. And then Jonathan and another employee wheeled her into the crematory. We watched them place her casket in the "oven" and once the door closed we left. They even allowed us to live stream the entire time we were there to our auntie's relatives back in the Philippines. The following day Wesleigh delivered the ashes to the church and she provided the letters and instructions we needed to bring the ashes back to the Philippines. We were also very happy with the urn we ordered from Anubis. It was engraved and had a photo of our auntie. It was perfect. I can't thank Wesleigh and Jonathan enough for providing an outstanding service that was stress-free, efficient, compassionate, and super professional during this difficult time of grief. I whole-heartedly recommend Annubis.

We didn't get to see the pamphlet till the day of service. Was told the video was apart of the program then got charged more money. Was told if we went with this package they'll pick up my mother free of cost. We'll let me tell you nope nope which was fine with me. My friend referred them so I still ordered flowers thru them and had friends do so as well. 175.00 will get you 6 roses and 4 orange marigolds. And if your order doesn't arrive like mine didn't she will tell you to dispute it through your bank. Ruthless cutthroat they dont care if your greeving. I suggest if you ever go through these people dont pay till the last day. I will add the email thread and the text message too. I will not lie or make up anything I have nothing to gain from it. I lost my mother and shes with God shes at peace and God's timing is undisputed. I just dont want anyone getting bamboozled like me and my family. I am beyond disappointed with the condition of this mortuary and cemetery. Families entrust this…read moreplace with the care of their loved ones' final resting place, yet the grounds reflect a shocking lack of maintenance and respect. The grass throughout the cemetery is completely brown, dry, and as hard as concrete. It is evident that it is not receiving the care it requires. When I raised my concerns with the front office, I was told the grounds are watered "three or four times a day." Based on what is plainly visible, that claim is simply not credible. Out of frustration, I purchased a 100-foot hose in an attempt to water my loved one's plot myself because the cemetery was clearly not doing so. Even then, the hose barely reached, and the water pressure was so poor that it was essentially unusable. It is unacceptable that families feel compelled to maintain cemetery grounds themselves. What makes this even more frustrating is the contrast with the City's enforcement of residential property standards. Homeowners can be fined for failing to maintain their landscaping, yet a cemetery--where families come to honor and remember those they have lost--is allowed to remain in such deplorable condition. This level of neglect is disrespectful to the deceased and deeply hurtful to the families who visit them. I sincerely hope city officials, including the Mayor, take notice and hold those responsible accountable. Our loved ones deserve dignity, and our community deserves better than this.
