I never found my "forever" dental family since leaving my childhood Dentist in NY. This is it! The team is courteous, prompt, addresses me with my name every time and attends to details. Dr. Mayorga has been wonderful and her skills applied with ease and comfort. I am in the medical field and I take notes when I am here. Thanks to Pilar for helping me today! read more

Loved the facility and the staff. After living in AZ for 10 years I have had trouble finding a dentist I actually liked. Today I went in for a teeth cleaning and had a pleasant experience. read more

All of my life I had bad ugly teeth. A trip to the dentist always meant laughing at me, humiliating me and shaming me. But then I found Desert Dentistry in Surprise. Everyone there was so kind, from the receptionist to the dental assistants, to the financial gals. Dr Triolo was my dentist. He was so kind and patient and professional. The best part about Desert Dentistry is that I am no longer afraid to smile, or go to the dentist!! And a special "shout-out" to Susan. She is awesome! read more

This is the best dental office I know!!! I have been to many over the years and the staff is so very pleasant and helpful. It was a wonderful experience and I never thought I would say that about a dentist. Dr. Mattern is a most compassionate and caring person. I have been "hurt" by many dentists through the years and my visit to his office for a filling was a pleasant one...never imagined it could be such a positive experience. This is definitely the only dental office I will be visiting for any reason. I wish I had found him years ago as I would have avoided so much anxiety and pain. This office and its staff was WONDERFUL. Dr. Mattern is the best dentist in the world as far as I am concerned!!! read more

Had some fillings & a Crown last May done and one of the fillings is now lose and causing pain. They want me to pay again to fix the same tooth in less than one year because I did not have them clean my teeth in the last 6 months. Just another way to get more money. read more

I phoned Desert Dentistry on a Friday because I was in serious pain. The person who answered the phone was warm and she said they could see me that very day. When I arrived, I encountered a dentist's office like none I'd seen before; the place is like a spa. Gentle music plays in the background, and a modern aesthetic lends to the soothing atmosphere. I met with Dr. T, and he impressed me as being competent, honest, and direct. My previous dentist seemed always to look for the most expensive procedures, but Dr. T took some time to rule out a simple filling before concluding that a root canal was necessary (no kidding, he seemed to genuinely hope for the filling and was disappointed that it would be more involved/expensive). Dr T was willing to do the root canal that day, but they were very busy, so I opted to schedule the root canal for the following week. The procedure itself went really well (I mean, it's still a root canal and all); Dr. T and his assistant worked like a team, and I was out after 30 or 45 minutes. Later the next week Dr. T and Johnny prepped for the crown and set me up with a temporary; I'm currently waiting for delivery of the permanent (it takes two weeks, which is fine). Johnny's temporary crown is very comfortable; he took a lot of time to make it just right, and he clearly took pride in his work. I have other dental work that needs to be done, and I'll be returning to Desert Dentistry and Dr. T. for the remainder of it. I'll ad that the office staff is friendly and capable. read more

Never made it to see Dr. Mattern due to poor office staff. Spoke to one receptionist last week, who took my name and demographics, insurance details, and information associated with the last dental office in order to obtain films and prior records. Called Surprise office again today to confirm past records had been received and to schedule my appointment. After speaking to two different staff who had no idea what I was talking about and could not locate my records or my insurance information, I didn't feel comfortable going to an office that wasn't very organized and didn't follow through. read more

I have been going to Desert Dentistry for years and will never go anywhere else. They have always taken great care of me. I go in for cleanings every 6 months and it is always a pleasant experience. They remember my name every time I go in and its not just because I have an appointment at that time. Twice I have walked in with someone else at the same time and they remembered both our names separately. I truly believe this company cares deeply for their customers. A few years ago I had a tooth ache while in Payson and had to go to the office up there. They got me in right away (on a friday) and got me all fixed up. They had to stay late and wait for me and if it did bother them I would not have had a clue because they were professional and patient the whole time. They are very competitive with their pricing too. I have referred friends to them that got estimates from other companies and Desert Dentistry more than beat their competitors. Its nice not to pay an arm and leg for stuff insurance won't cover. Thank you so much Desert Dentistry for everything you do! Myself and my family appreciates you! read more

I ran over to this dentist for an exam because it's close to my work in Phx and my regular dentist is up in N Scottsdale. After my xrays/exam, the dentist told me I had 8 cavities. My last exam was just last year so I was skeptical and ended up going back to my regular dentist. After his examination, I had ONE cavity. I understand dentists make their money by drilling teeth, but I'd rather not have my teeth drilled just so they can make a buck. When I asked the dentist @ Desert Dentistry to be more specific and asked if any of them could be "watch" teeth since I had just had an exam last year, she got very short with me and abruptly concluded our exam. How dare I question an 8 cavity/$900 bill diagnosis... read more

I wanted to give a big thank you to the staff at Desert Dentistry. They are always so over the top friendly and just first class all the way .Also, thank you so much for donating your time and offering free dental work to Vets on Veterans Day . My Father was treated with much kindness and respect. He had a tooth pulled, but still had a smile on his face when he left because he was treated so well. read more

Great dentistry family! Everyone cares about the health of your mouth. I switched to desert dentistry because I felt like I was being "farmed" at my previous dentist. Not so here. Once I had a question about some work they had done. They had me in the next day to resolve it. And it turned out it was work done by my previous dentist. I still don't like novacaine shots. read more

After a traumatic experience at a dentist's office a couple years back, I was always nervous about going back to see a dentist. I would always make an appointment and then cancel in the days following up to the dental appointment. After reading Their reviews on Yelp, I decided to make an appointment, and I definitely do not regret it. The whole staff was kind and gentle, explaining each step of the process to me as they went on throughout my appointment. I was not disappointed! I actually look forward to my next appointment, and can say that with confidence- finally! :-) read more

Dr. Mattern was available for a weekend emergency repair of my front teeth when the crowns that another dentist placed came loose after only six months. The owners and staff are extremely pleasant, helpful, patient, and compassionate. Desert Dentistry made bearable a very stressful and inconvenient situation, resolved the issue, and even followed up the next day to ensure that all was well. It is comforting to know that Dr. Mattern and his staff are there to help. I am looking forward to Desert Dentistry caring for our family's dental needs for the future. read more

Absolutely love Desert Dentistry! My husband and I just moved to the Phoenix area and couldn't be happier with the service and dental care received. Dr Mayorga is the best! After working in the dental field for 10 years myself I wouldn't trust anyone else with my teeth. Experts in dentistry! Clean, new and organized office! I would recommend Dr Mayorga to any and everyone in the Phoenix area! read more

First... I am in awe of some of the bad reviews. I was seen at the West Phoenix office, Surprise AZ. This is my first review ever... I had to sign up to do this post! I was seen by Dr. Jerome Triolo and he is a phenomenal doctor! I have been to many dentists all over the world and my husband has paid for some of the top dentist to assist me with my teeth. Dr. Triolo is by far the best dentist I have ever encountered... I have told my friends/family and one of my friends is willing to travel across waters to visit with him... read more

This office is great..very clean with the most-up-to-date equipment. Great environment and friendly staff. I love that they have evening and weekend hours. No high pressure sales like some dentists...just professional and friendly service. read more

The staff is super friendly, communicative and the office was very comforting and clean. The real review comes down to the experience, knowledge and talent of the dentist. Dr. Kelleher took his time and explained the procedure of repairing a very small chipped tooth. Cosmetic dentistry is somewhat of an art, and I believe Dr. Kelleher fit the three criteria - experienced, knowledgeable, and talented. He was also able to fix an issue with the tooth caused from a previous dentist's shoddy work. I was VERY happy with my visit. Definitely will return. read more

If you're anything like me you love your teeth but hate visits to the dentist. Desert Dentistry has been a life saver, literally they are helping me avoid heart disease. I would strongly suggest this practice specifically Dr. Mayorga! read more

I had moved from CA, and was looking for Adventist, and picked Desert dentistry on Chandler, because I had a dental emergency. Iwas given an appointment that same day and my problem was taken care on the same day. Dr. Tricolor was great. I then had to make an appt for a cleaning, and I chose Michelle, who did a fantastic job. This office is truly awesome, and the rest of the staff, are also great, glad I chose Desert Dentistry. I recommend the highly!!! read more

I absolutely love this dental office. Dr. V is incredible, compassionate, and honest. She takes the time to listen to you and makes you feel like she really cares about you and not just the money. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who lives in Phoenix. Her staff is awesome too. I would never go any where else but here. Thanks for caring and understanding when a patient is really confused about their treatment plan. You really made my visit today comforting and making me feel I made the right decision. Thanks again for everything. read more

I have recently become a patient at Desert Dentistry and must say that it has been the best experience in all the years i have been to a Dentist! I have been in Az for over a year now and knew i needed to go to a Dentist but nerves and anxiety allowed me to wait until a tooth broke.. So i went and i must say that i felt almost embarrassed that i waited out of fear/anxiety because it has been a great experience for me. From the minute you walk through the door you feel very comfortable. The office is gorgeous.. The staff is absolutely beautiful...Warm , friendly and above all very professional. Imagine THAT... warm, inviting , friendly and professional ALL at the same time You recieve a nice gift bag your first visit which i use every day.. You are escorted back where you meet your hygienist who is the most pleasant, gentle, caring hygienist i have had to clean my teeth. Then comes Dr K and his assistant who absolutely takes away all fears/anxieties.. So pleasant, so kind and above all very gentle with the utmost professionalism.. It's truly a matter of Dr K and Zach ( whom i have had the most to assist) seem to automatically know when you need a break or a quick swallow and they allow you to have it without you having to make 5-10 dfferent hand gesture to make them aware! They are aware! For as long as i reside in Az, any part of this state... I will always go back to Desert Dentistry and would highly, highly recommend them to anyone because comfort, warmth, caring and professionalism is important at any age, and believe me...all of that in one place is hard to find. So thank you Desert Dentistry.. Im your forever patient Jeannie E Awahtukee Resident read more

First, we've found that Desert Dentistry has become less and less kid-friendly (and I don't mean their lack of kids' books in the waiting room). They didn't seem to have the right size bite wings--ever--even with a 10-year-old. We also quickly found that there was a lot of "up-selling" going on, with any regular visit, when all we needed were regular cleanings. (NO we don't need fake bright white, glowing teeth; NO we don't want to buy a $220 mouth guard for sleeping--when the pharmacy sells them for a fraction of that...etc.). It seems like they saw that we had good insurance and wanted to cash in and maximize their income. After a few visits from each family member and constantly feeling annoyed with Desert Dentistry for a couple of years, we've finally switched to Sonoran Hills with Dr. Ito and could not be happier! It's always a pain to switch doctors or dentists, with all the new-patient paperwork involved, but it is worth it when you're not 100% happy with what YOU are paying THEM to do! read more

I had to cancel my Monday appointment and I had lost track of time so I had to leave a voice mail on the general voice mail box the Friday evening before. Approximately an hour before my scheduled Monday appointment I get a phone call to confirm the cancellation and the opportunity to reschedule. I wasn't ready to schedule, but I promised the office I would call by end of day if not next day. The next day I called and thought it would be difficult to schedule two same-day appointments for the hygienist my partner and I see regularly. I got in that afternoon! The staff took both of us back at the same time. One of us was seen by the hygienist while the other took x-rays and met with the doctor. It's multitasking and great service that I truly appreciate when it comes to a dentist office when dealing with somewhat high maintenance clients like ourselves. Desert Dentistry's staff really shines and provides exceptional service - I am looking forward to my next visit 6 months from now. read more

I seriously cannot say enough good things about this place. The moment I walked in I was greeted with the warmest welcome. The place is beautiful inside, and very clean! I didn't have to wait at all and was taken back by Sophia who gave me a tour of the place and briefly explained the process of everything before leading me to the chair. As we walked through, each staff member we came in contact with smiled and welcomed me in. Cecilia took my X-rays and was very quick and efficient, which was awesome because usually X-rays are very uncomfortable. Next Tara came in to examine my teeth and clean them. She was seriously the most amazing person I have ever had work on my teeth. She was extremely thorough with her examination, explaining every detail as she went. Next she cleaned my teeth and I have seriously never had a better teeth cleaning before. She was very meticulous and cleaned in between each crevice while ensuring that I was comfortable the entire time. I had bonding left on my teeth from a pervious dentist and she cleaned all of it off along with the build up. Not to mention she was extremely friendly and easy to talk to. After I was seen by the Dr. who was very nice and examined my teeth then explained the work that needed to be done. It was obvious he was very knowledgeable which made me feel confident about him completing the work on my teeth. Overall I had an outstanding experience and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a dentist! They are up on all of the latest technology, extremely knowledgeable, and always have your best interest in mind. The only thing I regret is not coming to this place sooner!! read more
