I love this place. It's nice to have a really good local joint to have lunch at, and even better when the food is delicious. I've tried all the named sandwiches on the menu, and all are good, though my favorites are the Apache and the Beef Bomber. Yum. Only real complaint, and its not worth losing a star over, is I wish they had smaller cups! Currently the only available size is a monster 32 oz (more?) which won't fit in normal cupholder in a car. A standard 21 oz cup offering would be greatly appreciated. Also, restroom is open to the public now. read more

This is a great little sandwich shop with boars head meats and cheeses. The young local owner and her Mom are sweet. They have a great variety of different kinds of sandwiches and she has no problem adjusting things to your liking. They have a cozy area to eat with a TV. My con's are that I ordered a club sandwich and the bacon was not cooked, it was just taken out of the package and it was flaccid.... and I wish they had a better chip selection. I just ordered from desert deli using uber eats. It's new to the av so I've been giving it a shot to try out new places. This deli has been around for a little while now in our town. I knew the previous owners and wanted to give the new owners a shot to see if it's still the same great place it always has been. There was a mess up on one of the sandwiches when it arrived on uber eats. I called and was kind of upset, sorry if i was rude! One of the new owners is who I spoke to on the phone. He promptly offered multiple options on fixing the problem and wound up hand delivering a new sandwich(the wife said it was fantastic by he way) to my door himself. This gesture really blew me away. I really enjoy coming too this place too eat, but lately when you go in they take a long time too even come too the counter. But even so the food is still good. We work a lot through lunch so signed up for door dash. When you order drinks and leave special instruction too pack it full of ice on an ICE TEA you think that's what you would do. Well when they bring your drink with zero ice makes you wonder if I should ever go back. Very sad I'm very scared too even look at my sandwiches at this point. Even worse when you call they just place you on hold for s long time! If I had the time too hold I would have gone myself. read more

I went here for the first time, and I wasn't disappointed. I had read previous Yelp review and decided to give it a try! I got there about 20 minutes before they closed, and they had my order ready quickly. I tried the Phantom Italiano, which was great! Good quality bread, meat, and everything else. It's a nice little deli in the AV, despite it being located in a part of town where there aren't many restaurants and such. Also, the prices are definitely reasonable and the quality speaks for itself. Definitely give it a try! read more

I've been here once with friends, but will absolutely be back. The food was great, the service was fast, friendly, and helpful. The prices were fair, the interior was clean and well maintained. And I really liked the menu options. Everything on the menu sounded like something I would like to try. I had the Amargosa...it was a fancy ham & cheese sandwich on a croissant. Loved it! Everything was fresh and well proportioned. The croissant was flaky and soft, and excellent. After hearing that this was the highest rated deli in Lancaster I decided to check it out. I had the beef 2 Bomber which is basically a French Dip sandwich. I love French Dips but it seems that no matter where I go they aren't made with the right type of Au jus. I will have to say this was the best French Dip I have had in about 20 years. It is made with Boar's Head beef and it is very tender and has a better flavor than you would find at a subway or Jersey Mike's. They also give you a big cup of Au Jus. More than enough for your whole sandwich. They are little more expensive, but you get lots of meat on these sandwiches. The taste is worth the money! My wife ordered a cold roast beef and my daughter had the Rueben Twist. All three of us loved their sandwich. I highly recommend this place if you are passing through. read more

I read the reviews and we decided to try it this evening. I ordered on line and everything was exactly as ordered. We had the Hungry Italian and the California Club and both were delicious, better than Jersey Mike's or Subway by far! This is our new sandwich place and I can't wait to try the Beef 2 Bomber and the Corned Beef on Rye, I'm sure they will be delicious. The staff was very friendly and my order was finished and waiting for me when I arrived. i rarely write reviews however today i felt inclined to let everyone know how this establishment made me feel. I walked in to order a sandwich and noticed there was only one customer ahead of me, there were two ladies making sandwich's, one lady at the register, and two guys walking in and out of the kitchen, out of 5 people that saw me walk in not one person acknowledged me. I waited for a couple of minutes for the one customer ahead of me to finish their transaction and after their transaction the lady at the register walked away without saying anything to me, not a smile, not a hello, not even a "i will be right with you". Horrible customer service, i will not be recommending this establishment to anyone unless they want to be treated like they do not matter. read more

I was in the area for business and my associate had recommended Desert Deli. Great dining atmosphere! The staff was polite and friendly. I had their phantom sandwich! It was DELICIOUS! Not to mention, the bread was fresh. My only complaint is, their rest room isn't open to the public. When it comes to washing your hands, before you eat..... have some hand sanitizer, handy. The Pastrami sandwich is truly great!!! The meat was juicy and bread super fresh. We went back twice in one day. The staff there are so helpful and very sweet. Their sitting area was so clean and relaxing. We received complementary iced mocha coffees that would give other coffee places a run for their money. I ordered the falcon sandwich which was ok-just plain. The pasta salad was drenched and I mean DRENCHED in Italian dressing and I could not even pick through it to get edible pasta.
