This was the second time I took my car to AAA for some electrical work, and it will be the last…read more My first experience was great; the workmanship was spot on, but this time, not at all. I drove my car to the shop to get a power wire installed on some coil packs, supplying the shop with three forms of installation instructions to assist in the diagnosis and repair. I received a call two days later to come to the shop. The technician told me that, somehow, the motherboard running my coil packs shorted out. Luckily, I had another one from another project lying around. I rushed home, grabbed a new harness and motherboard, and gave them to a technician at the shop. Four days later, I received a text saying they had bad news about my car. I called the shop, and they said, "The car was running last night, but when we started it this morning, one of your valves dropped. Not sure how that could happen at idle, but I took into consideration that things happen. I arrived at the shop on Friday to tow my car home and had to still pay the full amount even though I was now towing it home and supplied the replacement electrical components, but that's business. I got the car home, pulled the head, and this is what I found, see pictures. I have been building cars for years and sent these pictures to a mechanic, and we can tell you that this was not from a start-up, but you be the judge. I am now out of a car, the head is destroyed beyond repair, and the block needs a complete rebuild, all because I needed a wire installed. Now I am at least looking at $3500 to $4000 in repairs due to a wire installation.

Long story short, I had a bumper which was damaged and required a replacement. However, I would find out that the auto repair that I went to before A1 was trying to have me have my car "totaled" as they deemed the damages too great to repair, despite it was only the bumper being damaged. Desperate to save my car, I ran around town looking for a repair shop willing to replace my bumper and not have my car totaled. I found Dena Greenlee with A1 and after listening to my story she told me to come by. She listened attently to the issues and had the repair technicians assessed my photos. A rough price was quoted and there was an arrangement to have my car picked up and towed over. Before Christmas (roughly 3 weeks in all), I got my car back! I can't say how thankful I am to A1! Having to go through a car accident is very traumatic, so do go through your insurance and coordinate with them about what are your best options. See if you can come by to have your vehicle serviced at A1 and hopefully have your car fixed!

If I could give zero stars, I would…read more My daughter took her vehicle to Nate at All About Cars because the engine was vibrating. They initially replaced the motor mounts and then told her the torque converter needed to be replaced. She paid approximately $3,500 for the repairs, but afterward the vehicle would not run at all. The shop told her they would determine the problem and asked for a couple of weeks. Those "couple of weeks" turned into six months, leaving her without transportation the entire time. Eventually, we had to involve their insurance company. The vehicle was then taken to Ford for diagnosis. According to Ford, the repairs were in such poor condition that it would cost more than $10,000 in labor and parts to correct the issues. As a result, the insurance company chose to total the vehicle rather than repair it. Unfortunately, the insurance company would not reimburse the $3,500 my daughter had already paid, stating that she would need to seek reimbursement directly from All About Cars. When we contacted the shop, Nate became argumentative, yelled during the phone call, and ultimately hung up. To this day, we have not received any reimbursement. To make matters worse, I later learned from Ford that the engine had reportedly been dropped during the repair process, causing damage to the transmission line. Despite the damage occurring during the repair work, my daughter was still charged for the repairs. Charging a customer to fix damage caused by your own negligence is unacceptable, dishonest and unprofessional, Losing both $3,500 AND her vehicle created a significant financial hardship for my daughter. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend All About Cars. I strongly encourage anyone considering this shop to do thorough research and ask detailed questions before trusting them with their vehicle.
