Thank you for your respect, Dr. Energy Saver! Previous 2-star Review: Unfortunately, this has been a very difficult experience for me to address standing water & drainage in my crawl space. I agreed to work with Dr. Energy Saver back in October, hoping to have the work done before the rains started. However, the work was just completed on December 31. The communication of the team was absolutely horrible - with each of the team members understanding that my project was at different points. I was told it was done multiple times - with the piping above-ground, and an alarm that was supposed to be installed still in the box. Brandon and his team finally got it figured out and did a great job communicating, but there was still confusion between the manager, Sean, and the office staff, who even threatened via phone to put a lean on my home, even though I had been calling and emailing them about the poor work and needing to get the installation completed. Grateful to Brandon for his work, and his respectfully addressing my concerns and caring about me as a customer. I would highly recommend him and his crew. However, the rest of the team really needs to get their communication and customer service addressed - it's very draining (pun intended) to have to manage and check the work you're paying someone else to complete.

I chose them from three quotes I got. 2. The job got bumped up early, and they told me it would be 2-3 days. 3. The job ended up taking 2-3 weeks, and I felt like I had to be the project manager asking for updates and projections as to why it was taking so long. 4. A heavy rainstorm came before the job was finished. I was proactive in making sure that they had everything watertight before the rains would hit, which they assured me it was. 5. I woke up to my entire house leaking through every vent, water pouring down my chimney, and puddles in my garage. 6. I called every single contact I had, eventually going back to the salesperson before I got a response from the upper management in the company. To their credit they treated it as an all-hands-on-deck situation and came out to asses the issues and assured me they would switch to different staff and resolve everything. The work was all under warranty and they were responsible for any damage. 7. The next several weeks were of them fixing the shoddy work, but then the next round of problems began. 8. I'd notice leaks in certain areas during heavy rain: they'd send someone out to fix it. 9. I'd have other contractors working on other things, and they'd proactively tell me they noticed something off about the roof (missing flashing, shingles in odd places, etc.). Each time Klaus would send someone out to address the issue. 10. We went to put the home on the market, and three pages of the inspection came back with issues about the roof. At this point, I completely lost faith in all the staff to be component at all about the quality of their work. You may have a better experience with a team who will do it right the first time, but I cannot recommend them at all. I do think I had a very inexperienced team and perhaps they were having problems finding labor, but it felt like my project was seen as a sunk cost and they were simply trying to ensure they retained a profit.

I was pleased so I contacted UPC for a second time when I discovered a RAT problem. This time the owner came out, sold me an overpriced $500 "rat service." Instead of his competent employees, he did the work, such as it was, himself. The package included four visits to check the traps and dispose of any dead rats. The first visit was as promised. The second was a no show. I had to call them to get them to come out. One more was a no show and when I called again to have him check the traps, I reached the owner who told me he was sick. I had to call again and tell them to make the fourth call and remove the traps. I never saw the owner--he must have come and gone without letting me know he was even here. A few months later a work man was in the crawl space and found rat's nests, traps, and another dead rat. I believe now that the owner never came to take away the traps and left the dead rat to decompose. I tried on four occasions to reach the owner to discuss the situation, but he never returned my calls. Avoid this company if you want competent, effective, honest, responsible service without paying for calls that don't occur.
