This is the first place to say they wouldn't charge unless they got it right. With flexible hours and a friendly group of people working there. While best buy was pushing their warranties and wasting my time and money with random diagnoses, these guys got it right the first time. The only down side? They're located in an unlabeled building. Trust the address and go inside to ask for valley computer service. Definitely worth the trouble.

Overall I ended up paying 867$ for my compter to be fixed, when a couple 100$ more I could have bought a brand new Mac. And i couldn't even get all my files on my hard drive back. And the drive wasn't even damaged, only the screen was damaged. You pay 65$ when you drop it off, then they called me back to order the screen I could have paid the full bill of 460$, but I decided to pay 220$. And then I was told an 110$ N hour for labor and they'll charge me 4 hrs off the bat. I doubt it even take that long if they're as professional as they say. But then I ended up paying another 580$ when I picked it up. So your telling me another 5 hrs to bypass to get me to get apple again. Idk, it is what it is now. But I believe I was taken advantage of.

I called and the woman who answered (second ring, by the way, no long drawn-out introduction message) listened patiently and empathetically as I went on, and on, and on, about how embarrassed I was and I knew better, etc. She assured me Epoch would be happy to make it all better. No pressure or hype, just bring the laptop in and Epoch will take care of getting rid of any malicious software that the hackers loaded onto my hard drive. I did that and in less than 24 hours (yes, a little $$$ extra for expedited service) my laptop was clean as a whistle. Matt and Doo Yen were wonderful. So pleasant and patient which is exactly what I needed. This hacking event spurred me on to get a new desktop and Matt came and picked up both the old and the new desktop and brought it back the next day with all of my files loaded onto my new machine. Matt made it easy for me to access all of my files which is amazing if you've ever had to bring all of your files over from an old computer to a new one. I am up and running again (I work part time for a lawyer) and I feel assured my machines are clean and running at peak speed and Epoch turned a very stressful situation into a happy ending. After a month I stopped to pick it up and on their office it failed to load . I left it for another 2 weeks and returned to find a bootleg operating system was used instead of Yosemite, which froze all the time, a mechanical hard drive was used instead of a solid state , and absolutely NO data was recovered which was about 1000 irreplaceable family pictures. When I informed his female Asian partner, she was rude, crude, and yelled at me and asked me to leave ! Nothing fixed , no refund. The prices were fair and competitive. They have replaced components on my laptops and cleaned the electronics. i've brought in the computers for different problems, not just bad hard drives. I've also recommended a handful of friends to this place and they all very happy with whatever computer issues they needed help with. I kniw they recovered quite a bit of data for one friend for significantly less than what you would pay at a Geek Squad location.
