Please keep in mind this is a private business owned by one man. He is very kind and flexible. I received an over the phone diagnosis prior to entering his shop, albeit it was pretty simple (I needed a windows reinstall) He promised three day turnaround and it was true. He promised update calls and it was true. The value of the service was better than any corporation and the discounts he applies are very appreciative. If my computer becomes compromised or damaged I will always return to him.

He spent 15 minutes discussing possible causes, pricing and options - which was a pleasant surprise. Most places will simply tell you that they can fix any problem you have and just bring your PC to them. So after more research I was able to recover data from my PC much to my relief, even though it still doesn't boot up properly. I spoke with Jim again today and explained what I'd done. He advised me that my options were to either buy a new PC or spend $175 to reinstall Windows. Considering my PC is 9 years old, I'll opt to buy a new one. And the best part of the whole experience was that Jim actually gave me some advice on what to look for in a new PC. Even though I never had Jim fix my PC, I'm really glad that I spoke with him. He's a class act and I appreciate him taking time to help me even though he wasn't getting paid. Needless to say if I ever have PC issues in the future I'll call Jim.

I called and the woman who answered (second ring, by the way, no long drawn-out introduction message) listened patiently and empathetically as I went on, and on, and on, about how embarrassed I was and I knew better, etc. She assured me Epoch would be happy to make it all better. No pressure or hype, just bring the laptop in and Epoch will take care of getting rid of any malicious software that the hackers loaded onto my hard drive. I did that and in less than 24 hours (yes, a little $$$ extra for expedited service) my laptop was clean as a whistle. Matt and Doo Yen were wonderful. So pleasant and patient which is exactly what I needed. This hacking event spurred me on to get a new desktop and Matt came and picked up both the old and the new desktop and brought it back the next day with all of my files loaded onto my new machine. Matt made it easy for me to access all of my files which is amazing if you've ever had to bring all of your files over from an old computer to a new one. There aren't many pc repair businesses in the Lehigh Valley. So, if you need a reliable choice,…read moremake it Microapex and here is why. First, they have 2 locations. This one on Business Ln and another @ 1801 Union Blvd (this one is close Mon/Tues). Second, they will make an attempt to quickly fix issues without cost to you. Now, I can't say this for every issue. However on both occasions where we have used them they made an effort to honestly save us the cost of a repair with a simple fix. Third, they are reasonably price out their work. We came from a major metro area (Las Vegas) where the cost of computer repairs are significantly higher for similar work. Fourth, they have good complaint resolution. The second time we used them for a repair there were serious questions we had multiple aspects of the repair. Nott only did both locations willingly offer to solve them. They put the puter at the top of the repair que and we had the computer back the next day @ 100% and updated. Now, you may wonder why we didn't give them 5 stars. Well, there is room for improvement and growth. However know this we would have no trouble at all sending your computers in for repair/upgrade....errr mean send OUR computers back for repair/upgrade Don't even think about using the Geek Squad here in the Valley when we have a place like this.

Is kind is crazy to me, I pay 11$ an hr for a mechanic to look over my truck. Not a computer. I just think the prices are way too high. Overall I ended up paying 867$ for my compter to be fixed, when a couple 100$ more I could have bought a brand new Mac. And i couldn't even get all my files on my hard drive back. And the drive wasn't even damaged, only the screen was damaged. You pay 65$ when you drop it off, then they called me back to order the screen I could have paid the full bill of 460$, but I decided to pay 220$. And then I was told an 110$ N hour for labor and they'll charge me 4 hrs off the bat. I doubt it even take that long if they're as professional as they say. But then I ended up paying another 580$ when I picked it up. So your telling me another 5 hrs to bypass to get me to get apple again. Idk, it is what it is now. But I believe I was taken advantage of.
