We're getting visibly stronger while also learning so much about proper form and how to avoid injury. I came in with some chronic back pain that flared up with any exercise I did, and now I'm back on my feet, feeling a lot better and slowly starting to be able to lift heavier again. Bayo definitely knows a lot about functional fitness which I love because in my mid-40's I not only want to be in great shape now, I want to keep moving well in to my 70's and 80's. He's also got a lovely, kind personality but just because he's super nice don't think he'll go soft on you, you will work hard! He also gives great tips on diet and recovery that really help round out your training. The gym itself is bright and sunny, and immaculately kept. Lot's of great equipment and variety so you won't get bored. If you're looking to get in great shape and enjoy doing it I highly recommend this place!

While a tad more expensive than your average LA fitness or 24-hour fitness, they have plenty of lifting gear and equipment enough for anyone to use. The membership is pay as you go, so you pay every week/month at a time. They have cheaper alternatives like pay for 1 day or week if you just want to try it. Plus the last Friday of the month is only $5 for the day. Parking lot is small, and at peak hours (around 5-7pm) it does get crowded, and you may need to end up street parking. Also in the mornings, the door is open to members, but I've walked in a few times without anyone at the front desk checking me in. Might be some security concerns there, but ultimately, the community that comes to this gym is tight knit and knows proper gym etiquette, and the staff knows how to provide for their members. This gym caters to those wanting to get more experience in the gym, and the community at this gym pushes everyone to getting stronger

I had tried to lose weight since COVID and was 40 lbs overweight and losing mobility. I had gym anxiety and it was hard for me to leave the house but I really needed to get healthy. I am older and when I walked into Mission Fitness I was really nervous but trusted my trainer that this is the place to be. He was right. The staff here is amazing. The members are in my opinion very serious about their workouts and it is a welcoming environment. Sometimes I have an awkward time of it trying to adjust a machine and I am learning something new all of the time but the staff is always helpful. Thank you Devin, you have helped me out a few times and I appreciate it. I come here 4 days a week and I look forward to working out here. I am over having any type of anxiety and I have lost 20 lbs. This gym is great and I highly recommend it!

Eric goes far above and beyond in his support: - He's incredibly dedicated. His attention to detail, check-ins, and support go far beyond any trainer I've worked with. - He's focused on real, lasting change, not quick fixes. Mindset is just as important as movement. - He's tough (in the best way!): he challenges you so you can discover strength you didn't know you had. Eric believed in me before I did. That kind of support is rare - and life-changing. Working with him has been one of the best decisions (and investments!) I've ever made. I'm so grateful to have found Eric! He changed my life.

Life is all about pushing limits (even into your 70's/80's and beyond) and I've been super impressed with Eric's care, motivation and individually crafted plans for each of them. Eric has excellent communication skills and it is apparent that he truly enjoys what he does.

On top of that, ive spent most of my 20s doing HIIT workouts, spartan races, marathons, and sprints without proper pre and post stretches. My session was for 90 minutes but Michael took 120minutes addressing every single one of my aches. The most profound and surprising pain was located on my chest as well as my abdomen. Who knew that a mid abdominal massage would cause so much pelvic floor and lower back pain. I have been ignoring the tight muscles in my abdomen and it has been taking a toll on my lower back. Michael gave me some homework to do and I definitely will implement them daily. As I write this I feel completely loosened up and even feel sleepy. Ive been having some insomnia so hopefully I will have a good night sleep as well tonight. I completely agree with Michael that as health care providers we often fix localized pain with medicine or localized physical therapy without also stepping back and looking at the bigger picture. Carpal tunnel would also be a result of tight brachial plexus and should also be considered when coming up eith a treatment plan. If you're going to have any kind of musculoskeletal surgery, I would be open to consulting Michael first for second opinion. Sometimes its good to have other options other than surgeons who may have habitual tunnel vision.
