Max and Ali were fantastic! Our movers were on time and great with communication. We researched a few companies and they were by far the best with a quick estimate and lots of moving tips. They moved all of our items with care and attention. Everything was put exactly where we wanted even with a flight of stairs. If you're looking for a great moving service, Dependable Movers is the best around! Highly recommend Max and Ali, amazing team! read more

Great job! These guys really lived up to the company name, delivering an excellent experience with a fantastic attitude. Nolan, Alim, Sergei, Jorge and Ali even went above and beyond the original move when it turned out that several objects had to be moved through our backyard instead the front entrance. I appreciated the care they took in making sure everything was properly cushioned for the ride. Thanks team and will be calling on you again when we move next time! read more

DO NOT hire this moving company. My wife and I hired Dependable Movers for a 1BR/1BA move on premises (2 minute travel time) in San Francisco, and were given an estimate of $1,657.80 for a 6 hour full-service move (packing, moving, unpacking, trash disposal) using an inventory list that we provided prior to the quote, and were ultimately charged $4,250.54 (a 256% increase) for a 14 hour non-full service move (that didn't include unpacking or furniture assembly/disassembly, and minimal trash disposal) using the SAME inventory list used in the quote. When we told Ali, the team lead, that this was not acceptable, he said 'this is how it goes' and said we would need to pay or he would not leave the premises, and to take it up with the manager (note: during the move, we asked Ali periodically how long it would take to complete, and he gave vague answers like 'soon'). When we did speak with the manager, Gulia, she defended the 14 hour move and said it was normal, even though we pointed out that we had received estimates from other movers showing the same move would only take 3-6 hours, and had given Dependable Movers our inventory list to get the estimate in the first place. She later acknowledged that Dependable Movers made a mistake with our estimate and that the company took full responsibility and planned to make it right, but only offered us $600 as a courtesy refund (which is still $2,000 short of what they overcharged). Dependable Movers also said in our estimate that materials would be included, but later charged us $777 for materials once the move was complete. During the move, the movers decided to leave a majority of our valuable belongings unattended for hours in the shared apartment hallway while other residents were needing to pass through. In addition, the movers showed up without masks and gloves even though there was a COVID-19 Protocol link on their page (which Gulia then said she would take down when we mentioned that protocol was not upheld). We had high hopes for a company that claimed to have guaranteed quality, no hidden fees, and values customer satisfaction, and sadly we experienced the opposite of that. Please heed our words and choose ANY other mover than Dependable Movers - this company will pull a bait and switch and take advantage of the hourly rate to run up the bill. read more

Great, 5 star experience with Dependable Movers! Justin was great to speak with on the phone and helped accommodate my moving request within the same week I called. Baur, Arman, and Kit were the ones who helped me move my furniture and boxes. They were extremely professional and respectful with my stuff. I was very impressed with how quickly they were able to disassemble my furniture and then put it back together in the new apartment. They also reassured me that the fragile items I was moving were safe within the truck and showed me exactly where they placed them/ that they were secure. Very kind and helpful even on a rainy day. None of my items were damaged at all during the move. I would definitely recommend these 3 movers and Justin to anyone in the SF bay area! read more

Dependable Movers SF - moving items - Movers Near Me - San Francisco, California

From the first call to Ethan (who is an amazing asset in his superb people skills and follow through) to the 3 team movers that were super fast AND super careful all the way to the last box, Dependable Movers were the best! Not only did the move go perfectly, but they all did it in the biggest storm we had in years! 10 is my rating and we give JM the very highest recommendation! read more

Sergei and Sergei were a great team. Had a fairly small move but needed some help, and they took care of everything in the time window I needed it done in. Will definitely use Dependable Movers the next time I move (but hopefully that won't be for a while, haha). read more

Had the pleasure of getting Andrew & Alim to move our small apartment! They balanced efficiency with care. They took extra precautions with my record player and make sure to wrap all of our furniture appropriately. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is in need of a good simple move from point A to point B. read more

OMG I'm never attempting a move by myself again after this experience!!! Would HIGHLY recommend them for anyone moving within the city. For context, I was not moving very far within San Francisco but had roughly 10years of stuff in my studio apartment (including a Peloton bike and fragile electronics) that needed to be carefully boxed and transported to my new apartment within a day. After entertaining some alternatives I decided to use Dependable Movers in San Francisco and the experience is one I will recommend to friends. The quote given to me by Ethan over the phone was within $200 of the final total, which was amazing and helped set expectations on the time/effort/cost involved. I received a call 48hrs, 24hrs, and the morning of just to make sure the scheduled appointment was still convenient and that I was on schedule. This greatly reduced my stress during the experience and confirmed that Dependable Movers was organized and ready to adapt to unforeseen circumstances. Enter Roman, Ali and Sergey. They were on-time and the truck was clean and ready to go. I gave brief instructions and asked for careful handling of my computer monitor (and other electronics) then just sat in the hallway. They boxed and labeled everything. I had no leaks, no breaks, and no damage whatsoever. I was actually impressed by the amount of bubble wrap and cardboard cases used to protect some of the more awkwardly shaped items. They also helped me bring heavier furniture to curb for Recology pick-up. Now here's why I'm giving them 5-stars. At my new apartment building the elevator failed for about an hour as boxes were being transported to the new apartment. The three of them were very accommodating and were more than willing to work with me to find a solution. We were in the process of moving larger items to a ground floor utility room temporarily when the elevator was repaired. They quickly grabbed the remaining items and followed my instructions perfectly. The process at the end was seamless and we did digital invoicing and payment. I am never moving by myself again and would use Dependable Movers in future for sure! read more

Alim, Andrew, Sultan and Miras packed and moved our two bed/two bath across the city in a day. We hadn't moved in awhile and had a bit more stuff than we thought, but they did a great job in handling the extra things and were super professional through the whole move. Our things were well packed and they have a lot of care to our furniture. Would recommend for anyone doing a cross town move. Thank you! read more

Great experience - super hard workers, team of 4 hung in for a full 12 hrs to get the job done. Friendly, reliable, and quality - would recommend read more

We needed to move a one bedroom from Capitola to Irvine. Among a number of moving companies and their reviews I decided to go with this company. Jeff was helpful in booking our move and the price was better than competition. He followed up with me through the entire process. Thank you. I was concerned about the pick up time and delivery time, as I needed to be present for pick up then drive to my destination for next day delivery and did not want to go through LA at night. The pick up time was to be 8 to 9, but they were late by 3 hours. For whatever reason. That did not work well for my own drive to destination. But once they arrived everything went very well. To make up for the delay they sent a crow of 4 instead of two to speed up loading. That was nice and I appreciated it. Their crow, very professional, seems well trained in moving and handled every thing with care through a flight of stairs. They were right on time next day for delivery and agin I was super happy how they handled our stuff. I would have given them straight 5 Stars. I took one star off for that initial delay. Although they explained the reason and apologized for what happened. I felt they fell short in meeting that initial commitment. Also, I like to acknowledge Alim the driver and team leader. He was super nice, very professional and helpful. Overall I am very happy with my move. Recommend them with no hesitation. Still have a lot of boxes to open and sort stuff! But that is my job. Thank you guys read more

They moved my stuff one year ago. The pack and load was longer than planned that was 7/20 and cost more than planned. However today's unpack and move was on point with cost and saved time. Max, Nick, and Sergei were great to unload. I would give them a 5 and the pack load 1 year ago a 3. They were great with stuff and good price compared to other moves. The 3 guys today made the move easy for me. read more

Outstanding! Alim and Alex did a fantastic job moving my office from Laurel Heights to Noe Valley. Professional and gracious throughout. All my furniture and belongings are safe and in perfect condition as are the walls and stairwells. They handled everything with extraordinary care and respect, and they negotiated tight spaces with intelligence and knowledge that only comes from experience. They really know what they are doing so I could relax and carry on with the day. Plus they were fast and immensely affordable. Great value! I will definitely call on them the next time I move. read more

Typically I don't write reviews, but couldn't go past this company. If you need to move your stuff, look nowhere else. These guys are incredible. Sam and Max where extremely helpful, they estimated a 5hour move but were done in 4. I had to move multiple mirrors from my living room, and they were really careful with them. No a crack. Also they didn't hesitate to pack my kitchen stuff (I was not able to do it prior the move). Besides all of this, they were on time, which is an important part of being a professional. Definitely recommend them. read more

Dependable Movers SF - My dressers and the couch are ready for the new life. - Movers Near Me - San Francisco, California

Expensive and slow! Our 1br apartment took 8 hours to move and cost us $1200! We had around 50 boxes, a bed, a couch, a few chairs/side tables and a kitchen table. Nothing fancy, but when they were moving they weren't speedy, and took a number of smoke breaks that we were charged for. The guys were friendly and I know it's hard work, but thats why we're willing to pay over $100/hr for it If you don't care how long your move takes or how much it costs, these are your guys read more

They were great, on time, professional and efficient. I could not have asked for a better team to do my move. Mark, Sula and Adam were careful and considerate with my things and packed everything surprisingly fast but professionally. They were absolutely dependable! read more

All in all my move went as expected. They showed up early and were very polite. The end is where things got a little awkward. I was quoted significantly less time than what it turned out to be. (This was a small move with barely any furniture, just a bed and boxes). They struggled putting the piece back together that they had disassembled and said it looked easy when we took it apart. Unfortunately pictures were not taken. The frustrating part was, if they had an issue they should've asked, do you have the instructions, where did you purchase it, do I recall how it was put together? Any communication would've been helpful since time is money and if you cannot figure it out in a hour then some brainstorming needs to be done. With some teamwork we finally figured it out and moved on, thank god. So the job was finally done and this is where it got very awkward; I asked what my total was and it was on a super small phone, the time the crew started and what was documented was different than what actually happened. I had almost all of the balance in cash but was a little short since I did not expect the move to take as long as it did. 4 hours I expected tops. He mentioned something about tipping and said it's totally up to you. He gave me his Zelle information and then questioned how much was sent because I had a small balance and he wanted a tip. When I I told him how much was sent he proceeded to tell me they get a minimum of $150 per person per job. Firstly, I did not ask you, secondly it is my choice how much I would like to tip and I was doing 18% of the total so what I gave I felt was fair. I said sorry I cannot afford that, he said okay and seemed annoyed. I said thank you and we went our separate ways. The take away from this experience is, take pictures of your furniture so you know the condition, #2 if you are having them put something together, try and have the instructions beforehand to avoid an issue. read more

The guys from Dependable Movers were friendly and handled our belongings with care. I'm giving them 2 stars because of the speed of service. I had them move my 1 bedroom apartment (a move less than 10 miles) and the entire job took 5.5 hrs. I've moved several times before and in each instance the move was done in less than half that time. When you're paying well above $100 per hour, speed matters a great deal. No only for convenience but $$$. read more

Carlos Carranza was our first contact in setting up our move. He was so nice, so caring, and so obviously competent at his job that there couldn't have been a better start to our dealing with Dependable Movers. George and his team of movers were exceptional in every way. They took great care with wrapping and moving our furniture (nothing was damaged which unfortunately has not been my experience in the past) and were also careful with our many boxes. George was an excellent leader, both working as hard as the other team members (also not my past experience) and was always there to give them guidance. Each team member worked really hard and was careful and personable throughout a very long and difficult move We couldn't have been more pleased and will definitely recommend Dependable Movers to anyone who asks. read more

I can't imagine us doing this love by ourselves. Max, Sergey, Alvin and Alim are literally life savers! Such nice guys, so quickly, courteous, and careful with our belongings. I don't intend to move again soon, but when I eventually do, I'll be asking for these guys again read more

Oleg & Sergey showed up on time and ready to dive into the project. They surveyed the items needing moving and the Pod they were to be stored in and got work. I would definitely recommend their services and will use them again. read more

Two things to note: 1 - I worked for a moving company for almost a year when I was 18. That was years ago, so I'm not saying I'm an expert; just saying that I know how much work it is and how there's some real expertise involved. 2 - we recently moved our office and I dealt with another moving company. that other moving company was terrible. Two of the 4 guys were obviously hung over. One was ok. And one did know what he was doing. Eathan, Aidyn, and Bob of Dependable Movers were all top notch. They take their work seriously. They care about the process (speed, clarity, lack of stress) as well as the end result (all your stuff in the right spot, in the condition it was in before they moved it). They work hard but are also enjoyable to be around. I hope I don't move again for a long time, but if I do, I know I'll call Dependable Movers and request Eathan, Aidyn, and Bob. read more

The team at Dependable Movers was excellent. While their estimate was slightly on the higher side, I chose to hire them because they communicated well and often. I appreciated the fact that a sales manager called me to clarify what I was requesting and asked for more specific details to provide a more accurate estimate. This type of attention to detail was an absolute plus! On the day of my move, I got a text telling me when the moving crew was going to arrive. They arrived right in their delivery window and got straight to work after a walk through. They boxed the items that were not as securely packaged as I thought they were and gave me a heads up on their recommendations to make sure that my items were delivered to my new home safely. They also took great care to make sure that my items and the homes were carefully protected. There was some minor damage for a few inexpensive items, but overall the crew was absolutely fantastic and caring for my things and for the rental units. I particularly loved how the crew labeled the packed items so that they knew exactly where to put things in my new home. This allowed for everything to get unloaded in the right places in a very reasonable amount of time. I am grateful for Dependable Movers and would recommend them without hesitation. If I were to move again in the future, I would definitely look to Dependable Movers! read more

Your response of a " Very Tricky Project" is total BS. It was a simlpe matter of lifiting three items from the floor to a loft, which was explained to Loni well in advance including a picture of the moving area. It was your two movers that decided to make a mess of the move by trying to carry the items up a narrow spiral staircase, while being told that it would be impossible to do so. Also, it was more than rude to have two men who were fluent in English speak a foreign language in front of me in my home read more

I had a very pleasant and easy experience with Dependable Movers. I was able to contact and message Gulia so set up my move date, she later followed up with me the nIght before to confirm the date and time again. My movers Arman and Max were extremely quick and professional with handling my move and were able to pack up my bedroom's worth of stuff within an hour. This included disassembling furniture as well. Unloading and reassembling the furniture was quick as well. None of my stuff was damaged. I highly recommend anyone to use their services. But definitely try to book it at least a week in advance. read more

Office moves aren't simple. There are move-in procedures, COI requirements to meet, key dates, stages of move, etc. Dependable Movers provided necessary documents as well as hard-working and accomodating team of movers. And, fast forward months later, I had to contact Dependable Movers again for paperwork-related and it was completed without hesitation. They really went above and beyond. Great experience with Dependable Movers from start to finish! Ethan helped book our appointment and was extremely responsive and flexible, even with very short notice at peak moving season and various adjustments we had to make on our end. I spoke with several moving companies for a quote and Ethan was by far the most professional and thorough, asking detailed questions to ensure he gave us an accurate quote. The moving crew (Sergey, Sergey, and Konstantin) were very efficient and careful with our furniture, including many bulky/heavy items as well as fragile pieces. They showed up on time and were even able to finish the move in under the original time quoted. Would definitely recommend Dependable Movers in the future! read more

Dependable Movers moved me from California to Nevada. I got three estimates, and DM was the only company to offer a virtual estimate. I felt that this reduced the possibility of hidden charges later on and this made me feel more secure with the accuracy of the quote. Prior to the move, Lonie in customer service was amazing! She quickly responded to my many inquiries, and was always professional and courteous. I appreciated having the option of texting in my questions and concerns throughout the move process. During the move Mark and his crew were kind and professional. I immediately felt comfortable having them in my home and was confident that they would take care of my belongings. Delivery was delayed due to mechanical issues, but Mark stayed in contact, worked hard to make up for lost time, and remained professional throughout a difficult situation. Full disclosure, DM also transported my motorcycle, and there was some damage. If you are transporting a motorcycle it may be better to use a carrier service. However, I will still be giving DM a 5 star rating because they worked hard, were professionals throughout, and made my move as easy as possible. I have already recommended them to family and friends. read more

Update: After seeing my original review, Dependable Movers gave me a partial refund which I appreciate. However, they then proceeded to call and email me ceaselessly, for weeks, demanding that I update my review. Overall my experience with this company has been very frustrating and I still do not recommend their services. Original review below: I hired Dependable Movers to pack my things and load them into a shipping cube, and am really disappointed in the quality of both the packing and cube loading. Boxes were packed incredibly carelessly - wine glasses and other fragile dishes broke because they were packed at the bottom of boxes under heavier objects, books bent because they were crammed into boxes haphazardly, etc. Boxes were rarely labeled; the ones that were labeled were often labeled incorrectly (e.g. boxes labeled "books" that contained no books). The cube loading was also done poorly, with heavy boxes loaded on top of light boxes so that they fell during transit. On the plus side, the team finished the job quickly but clearly at the expense of quality. Overall I regret booking this company and do not recommend. read more

Called dependable movers on Thursday needing a crew for Saturday. Gulia made the arrangements to have a crew at our place, and everything went very smoothly and efficiently. Erkin, Babur, and Kit were very professional, friendly, and took excellent care wrapping and packing every item. The unloading was done with equal care but in record time. Nothing was damaged or broken. I was so happy with them that we hired them again for the following week to move all our smaller items. Again, everything was done with care and efficiency.
