Our long distance move from San Jose to Sacramento county went great! From start to finish, the communication was really good, everything arrived without incident, and the pricing was to be expected for such a long long distance move. Everyone was kind and efficient. Would definitely use this company again and recommend them to others. Well done and thank you! read more

These movers are great! They were clean, careful and courteous. They were amazingly fast and efficient. Nothing was scratched or damaged. They went over and above our expectations! I would definitely recommend them. read more

I had a seamless move with Alex, Andrei, and George. Not only was I able to book them on short notice during peak season (moved end of May), but also the final cost was lower than their estimate! I had quotes from other companies estimating about 5-6 hours of labor but they estimated 2hr45 mins and finished in 2hr30 mins. They are efficient, hard-working, and extremely professional every step of the way including providing a certificate of insurance to my strict HOA within 1 hour of my request, texting updates from inventory updates, to day of ETA. Would go with them again and recommend them if you're thinking about it. Thank you for making my move so stress-free! read more

Hello, Gulia. As I told you multiple times and will reiterate here: the only folks who had access to these trinket boxes and jewelry were me and these four men. No one else. I have filed a police report. I am debating a small claims suit, but really just want to make certain that this does not happen to anyone else, and your company has wasted far too much of my time. Like the mirror that your mover damaged, I doubt I will see any of these items again. I was extremely kind about that mirror because I believed that your employees did not intend this damage--they were just careless. Same with the chair. After weeks of your company setting up appointments and not showing up to pick up the stained chair, I had it cleaned myself. Your employees wasted my time multiple, multiple times, and you never even offered to pay for the cleaning. Is this an example of your "professionalism"? Even Lonie and Jonny failed in their attempts to make this right. You were 100% unaware of the mirror and the chair for those weeks, by the way--is that the sort of "professionalism" you are speaking about? You only became involved because I insisted on speaking to a manager. I also notice you say nothing about returning the tip money? You were the one who suggested I ask Alim for the money back. When I did, both of you cut off contact. Why did you suggest this when you knew how you were going to respond? Your "professional" crew left cigarette butts all over the driveway of my old house that I had to pick up. I bought milkshakes for all four of these men because of the hot day. One of the them spilled it on my new driveway and did not say anything. It baked in the sun and I had to waste lot of water cleaning it off. More "professionalism"? I am defaming no one. What do YOU think happened to this jewelry? By all means: tell me your theory. It was in my former home, which was packed up by your company, and never arrived to my new home. I lived in an isolated house in the mountains. There was no one around. I moved to a neighborhood with many people around. But an entire moving box did not disappear or was stolen, just two small trinket boxes full of jewelry. Kindly explain how that happened. The mirror and the chair were one thing, the jewelry and the boxes are something else entirely. You did not make the damages right, at all. And you could have. You cannot make the loss right unless the articles are returned. Pay for the cleaning of the chair your men damaged, and return the tips. That is what I would do in your position. Because I am a professional. read more

Very fast and efficient movers. Max and his team are very responsive and able to help us with all our moving needs. I would definitely use dependable movers again! read more

To preface this review, this review is solely based on my experience with one of this Company's movers, Alex. My boyfriend, roommate and I were struggling to move my dresser from the car into my apartment, which requires a few stairs. We were definitely struggling quite a bit as the dresser was extremely heavy. Alex saw us across the street and came over to offer a helping hand, and we got my dresser into the apartment smoothly. He mentioned he was a professional mover who had just gotten done with a full day of moving, and saw us struggling. He was extremely cheerful and though I'd never heard of Dependable Movers before, Alex certainly gave an amazing impression of the company and I know I'll be looking into them for my next move. Thanks Alex! read more

My realtor recommended them to help move some large pieces and random items for staging to storage and I was very pleased with their service. The movers were very professional, arrived on time and got right to work. They took great care wrapping my large credenza and a flat screen TV, which made me feel confident my possessions were in good hands. They made quick work of the job and were very courteous. I thought they did such a great job I plan on using them for my move out of SF to the suburbs in a few months. read more

These guys were amazing! I have a very large one bedroom apartment in the Marina and was moving to the Inner Richmond. The crew consisted of Eathan, Lam, Bunny, and Din. They packed me up, moved everything down two flights of stairs and across town. At the new place they were faced with another large set of stairs. These guys were efficient, professional, friendly and extremely hard-working. They ensured that my previous apartment was clean and disposed of all packing materials leaving my new apartment in great shape. You can see a before and after picture of my bedroom as well as a completely full truck. These guys work their butts off today. I would recommend these guys too all of my family and friends. If you're moving in the future and need assistance, contact this group first and your search is done. read more

Unbelievable service. From the initial responsiveness (5 minutes on a weekend), the flexibility (we had to change our move twice), and the whole transparent process. But the best part was Yelaman, Bula and Adam. Incredibly professional and exceptionally thoughtful people. They made the emotional and physical toil of a big move 3 hours away seem almoat easy. This is a very professional company, using all the latest platforms to be in communication and track costs. But in the end, its always the people and these movers are GOLD. Would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

The movers were top rate! Hands down, they protected everything METICULOUSLY. In retrospect, we moved a ton of boxes ourselves to try to save money. It was a bad idea. We should have had them do it all. The total quoted price was just over $1k for cash for a 1B 1B. I expected the move to cost us between $300-$500 since we pre-moved a bunch of boxes and some movers offered us fixed rates of $420. It was about $1k, slightly less than their quoted price. And it took them the exact number of hours they quoted. I read more

We utilized Dependable Movers and they were fantastic. We needed to switch dates and they were accommodating. We had 4 movers, Yelaman, Adaham , Arman, and Sergei. They were great! They had an incredible system with moving and were efficient. Every thing was wrapped up with blankets and plastic wrap. They provided extra boxes when I needed a few things I missed. I highly recommend this company! It made moving much easier! read more

Dependable Movers SF - Careful with their tracks - Movers Near Me - San Francisco, California

We had a great experience moving this past Saturday with Dependable Movers. The team of five led by Alex worked tirelessly for close to 11 hours packing, loading, unloading and getting all the items to where they needed to go, having the patience to move things again if we made a mistake. They were very professional and when they found the truck could not get as close as we wanted to the new place they dealt with it parking a bit further away and still unloaded in record time. For the most part we got everything we wanted moved. We left some plants behind to pickup later as they could not fit in the truck. A couple of outdoor sofa cushions got torn a bit, probably because of the final rush to pack these. Something that could have been avoided with a bit more care. I am reducing my rating to 4 stars because of this, as otherwise they would get all 5 stars. Worth noting also that their original estimate was spot on and I paid a bit below it. Overall very competitive pricing for the service when compared to other companies I had worked on before. Thank you Alex, Andrew, Islam, Jorge and George. Keep up the great work! read more

These guys are dependable and FAST. They helped us with a large, unpleasant move (hello COVID wfh situation, hobbies, and overall clutter) and got it done much quicker than smaller moves we've had before. The guys helping us, led by Max, were friendly and positive the whole time as well as quick and meticulous. Our valuables are in mint condition, as are our well-loved old items. All were treated with utmost respect. Dependable for sure- with the added benefit of a smooth, much less-stress move. read more

Definitely recommended. I used their service 2nd time. They are fast strong and smart. Good truck and drive at an amazing speed considering a truck full of furniture if you are moving far. They have good tools and are very polite and humble. I have saved their number and will for sure contact only them if need to move again. read more

Dependable Movers did an excellent job moving my items into storage in May of this year. They got me to store my items with them in their Treasure Island unit as well at a cheaper monthly rate. However, they NEVER return my calls or they return my calls, put me on hold forever, and then promise to call me back and then never do. I have no idea what has happened to any of my belongings. I've called them repeatedly over the last several months to check in on any payment I owe them for storing my items but they have not responded to that either. At this point I am fearing the worst that they have stolen everything I stored with them. Think twice before storing your items with this moving company. If I don't hear back from them soon, I will be contacting the authorities. Edit: shortly after posting this review & leaving another voicemail/text, Gulia called me to apologize for the delayed response and scheduled a time to deliver the items they had been storing for me. I appreciated her effort as this relieved a lot of worry I've had these past few months. read more

Wonderful experience! Mike was incredibly accommodating in arranging a complicated move from SF to Reno, they were able to do an estimate via video call so we did not need to be present twice. Yelaman and AJ were nothing short of amazing, skillfully moving many large, heavy, and fragile antique pieces down multiple flights of stairs, They packed everything VERY well and all arrived safely. Communication was excellent, they are timely, very pleasant and professional. Worth every penny, we will be singing their praises for many years to come. Thank you!!! read more

Dependable Movers was amazing!! We are so happy we went with them for our move last weekend. I moved to San Francisco from Boston and needed competent and professional movers to help me unload my pod container at my apartment. I searched online and ended up booking with dependable movers. I'm extremely happy I went with this company. The movers arrived right on time and were able to unload my pod and manage their way through my high rise building and into my apartment with no issues. Dependable Movers did a great job in the moving part. I moved a 1 bedroom apt in Alameda, 1 mile away. The truck was not packed correctly resulting in another trip back to pick up 2 items. I was advised it would be no charge however I was charged. They stopped working 1 hour 50 min and we agreed to round it up to a min of 2 hours. I was invoiced for 2.5 hours. The paperwork took longer as I was paying cash they kept trying to call it in to fix the amount. I am happy with the move, the text message letting me know they were 20 mins away, the hard-working employees, just not the extra charge. read more

This company had a professional and very timely communication from quote to day of moving. The quote was inline with the final price, easy to maintain inventory to be included in the move with their online estimate. The crew that showed up was nothing short of Amazing! Oleg , Bair, and Mergen were super efficient, very nice, great communication from a heads up of when they were going to arrive. I was a bit worried about our walls in our new house because we just painted, not one ding! Dependable Movers were fantastic. The estimation process was straightforward and accurate. They replied almost immediately and provided an online tool to fill out your moving inventory which made things very easy during COVID. The movers were great! Very professional, hard working and efficient (they finished nearly 2 hours under the anticipated time). My apartment in San Francisco had 3 flights of stairs and they made it look easy while still handling things with care. Dependable Movers was amazing to work with! They helped me move from San Francisco to Sonoma. From start to finish, they were so professional. Communication was great, scheduling was easy, pricing was fair, and Alex and Moises (who did the actual heavy lifting) worked tirelessly all day and were so careful with my furniture. The move ended up being more difficult than I think all parties anticipated, but Dependable Movers made it happen. I would happily hire them again. read more

Dependable movers was a great asset to helping me move down within the same city. I will say the estimate for cost was slightly off from what was discussed on the phone and they charge you a lot of hidden things in the end. Your estimate might be $175 an hour but I ended up paying well over $500 to them for about 55 minutes of work. I would say their business model is pretty lackluster on that regard but their movers were great. Roma and Andrew were great and quick with the move. They're efficient with their time and make sure not to be slow as to not add to your final cost. Didn't damage anything and those two were key players in helping me move :) I would definitely get their services again read more

I moved my two bedroom from San Francisco to Elk Grove. It took 12 hours from start to finish. They stopped at my husband's office first then came to our apartment and then to our new home. It was a stressful few weeks of packing in between working and caring for our two boys. The movers made it easy. We packed most things but they organized it to make it fit into the truck and safety taped it again if necessary. I felt totally free of responsibility. It was a great experience. I would totally recommend them. They were on time and respectful of our things. read more

I've moved over 15 times in my life (Navy Brat) and I *know* all about the horror stories we worry about: broken glassware, scratched furniture, etc. I can hands down say Dependable Movers is as AMAZING as moving companies get! They were super responsive with my quote, were able to make my specific move-in date with short notice, and were exceptional on the day of the move: prompt, affordable, and trustworthy. Huge shout out to the two super efficient movers who transported my heavy boxes in record time. I absolutely can't recommend them enough. I had to do a last minute move from San Francisco to LA on super short notice. I was able to get a quote easily after FaceTiming with the office which made setting up the actual move a breeze. Mark and his team packed everything up for me efficiently and made sure all of my valuables and fragile items were boxed up appropriately. The entire team was very nice and they were also very quick. We had a great experience with Dependable Movers for our move South San Francisco to Brisbane. During initial quote process, they communicated the hourly rates early, had a really helpful online inventory estimation tool and the salesperson I chatted with (Frank) was generally super straightforward and helpful. They showed up on time with a truck big enough to finish the move in one trip. We had so much stuff that it looked like we might need two trips, but Sergei and team worked their magic to make the most of the truck space such that we didn't need the second trip after all. The distance between the ends was short, but we had 75+ boxes plus heavy exercise equipment (treadmill and elliptical) and had flights of stairs that were not easy to maneuver. Sergei, Oscar and team handled the move without any issues, in shorter time than the initial estimate and we super easy to communicate with. I definitely recommend them and will look them up for my next move! read more

(JAN2021) TL;DR: I was very happy with Dependable Movers. Simple, efficient business model with honest, hardworking men who get the job done to spec. Longer write-up: Price is mostly all-inclusive: $155/hr (3hr minimum), unless one pays in cash, in which it's $145/hr. $95 Truck Fee was not included. Mileage may be negotiable with the company if you are both close to their HQ and are moving within the same neighborhood. Because of restrictive loading dock times, I only had 5hrs to move. The two gents understood my situation and worked very quickly--and carefully--to get me moved to my new apartment a block away. Using a Ryder box truck, they finished helping me with my 1BR/1BA apartment in 4.5 hrs: Bed reassembled, large wardrobe boxes unpacked & returned, and 1.5cu-ft boxes laid out in an orderly fashion so I could deal with them later. Excellent work, even with my pre-prepping the household goods for the move. My only constructive feedback to the company is that the movers should explain in the end of the move what each signature is for (or let me read the electronic documents). I only got to read the paper sheet I signed at first. The electronic signatures on one of the mover's phones were quickly presented, and I had to prompt the mover to show me the info before I would sign. Don't get me wrong; I certainly trusted these men. I just like to be diligent in these matters. All in all, based off of the reviews of others and my own experience, I think it's safe to say that Dependable Movers definitely live up to their name. You can trust them to give you their best effort to make your move as painless as possible for a reasonable price. Thanks, y'all! Best move I've had! read more

"Not-so-dependable movers" They assigned wrong number of movers to do the job, which took them almost the entire day to finish. Also, they lost our containers with tools and games that are worth easily over several hundreds in the process of moving and did not help us out with either locating those containers nor compensating for the lost items fairly (They offered 50 cents / lbs, as if they are dealing some garbages). I would not hire them again. --- Update based on the response -- Thank you for your reply, but we were actually assigned 2 movers to do the job, not 3. They all work together really well, I really enjoyed talking with them, and I will absolutely hire them the next time we need movers. Dependable Movers SF - Unpacking! - Movers Near Me - San Francisco, California

Update, 7/25: if zero stars was an option, I would choose it. They said they would make it right. I have contacted them twice since in order to get them to make it right. They... haven't responded. They did in fact break my turntable and speakers, as well as my custom furniture. I paid $100 an hour *more* than another quote I got for them to break several thousand dollars of items (the bookshelves are 2k each to make, the turntable and speakers was another $250 + they packed perishable food in random boxes?). Given the move was 11 hours, I spent an extra thousand dollars for them to break things. Cannot imagine a worse experience. Deeply grateful I moved my valuables myself. Previous review below: Nightmarish. Broke furniture, claimed they didn't, refused to wear a mask despite repeated requests from an immunocompromised person, just tossed everything into boxes with no padding, put water-sensitive items in with liquids - I could go on. I have to wonder why I apparently ended up with such a different experience than other reviewers. They were expensive ($249/hour/three movers - about $2300 to move a one-bedroom apartment about a mile - about half what I paid to move the amount amount from San Diego to San Francisco four months earlier), but I have multiple pieces of custom furniture. Given the good reviews, I figured it was worth the cost. lol, no. The day started out badly when I asked the movers to wear masks before they came in, because I'm immune-compromised. They said they did not have masks but would get them. An hour later, I got off a work call and went into the room where they were - no masks. I *provided them masks* and again pointed out that I'm immune-compromised. I left the house then because I can't really be in a space with unmasked people. When they called me back in four hours later to do a walkthrough, were they wearing masks? Obviously not. I asked again. They said they would. They did not. I asked a *fourth* time later in the afternoon. I have medical conditions that would make COVID very dangerous for me. There is a current surge in cases. I *provided masks*. I didn't spend much time with the movers so that they wouldn't have to wear them all the time, but they still wouldn't even wear them then. Now, let's talk about the moving part: They broke one of the custom pieces and didn't tell me. I noticed at the end of the day. The mover then told me it was "like that", and as proof, showed me a photo of the bookshelf that had clearly already been packed. (I had hired them to do packing, so I handed over the keys with a bookshelf full of books; a photo of a bookshelf empty of books is not proof it was "like that already". ). When I told him it was not, he tried to argue with me and say it was assembled incorrectly. 1) it's a custom piece so that's... literally not possible, 2) it was moved from San Diego to San Francisco without issues, so... seems like it's possible to move it! I'm still unpacking, but the packing appears disastrous. (Despite taking 2x as long as my movers in San Diego.). I've found books in boxes with shampoo with no packing material around the liquids (thank god, the books were fine). I've found laptops tossed in with (heavy) tools, also with no packing material. Did you want your record player to be tossed in a box with no padding? Great, this company will do that for you! I don't even know yet how many things were broken - I'm still unpacking. Guess we'll find out how good the insurance they sold me is... read more
