The repair was completed in early September, but within three weeks the dishwasher was still leaking at the final walk‑through. They were contacted again on September 16 under their labor warranty. GH Appliance Repair came out on September 17 and claimed the leak was fixed. After closing on September 18, I inspected the appliance myself and found the dishwasher was still leaking exactly as before. I reached out once more on September 24 to have the issue corrected under their labor warranty. At that point, the company told me that because I was now the "new owner," they would not honor the warranty--even though the original repair was never successful. The dishwasher was never fixed, the issue persisted through multiple visits, and the company refused to stand behind their own work. I cannot recommend GH Appliance Repair based on this experience.

As my schedule only allows me Fridays and weekends free, I suggested they come again the following Friday. They didn't. I called them many times with no response. The following Tuesday, I asked my son to call them and tell them he needed service on his appliances. Fifteen minutes after he called them, they returned his call. He gave me the phone. They told me an emergency had pulled them away over the last 4 days and they were just now returning their phone messages, most recent first. As one who has worked as a service provider, that was not the way we were told to return calls, especially when any of those calls should have been made without checking messages. They knew they were supposed to be at my house and didn't come. They should have called as soon as time permitted. We arranged for them to come the following Saturday. We stayed home all day Saturday, and I called them three times, with no response. We have not talked to each other since. There was no address on their business card or their websites. I called Home Advisor since I went through them to find a service provider. Home Advisor has a procedure they follow and this issue is now at the highest level of the conflict resolution process. American Appliance Repair has not returned any of their calls as of last Saturday. Last Thursday, Home Advisor suspended their account so no other customers would share my experience. My credit card company is also involved but at this writing, American Appliance Repair has not replied to them either. I am certain I will get my money credited, and I will again use Home Advisor to find a person to repair my appliance and some other tasks I need done. However, I will never pay for more than the cost of the estimate ($80 from AAR) and the cost of the parts. If they wonder why, I'll share this review with them.
