Edward was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. I had multiple Whirlpool appliance problems and…read morequestions and he solved them all. My washer agitator came loose with a heavy load and he reattached it so I could use the washer, sent for parts and then repaired it so the agitator now moves left and right again. The fridge leaked every 4 days or so and he pulled it out from the wall and pulled the drain tube out and unplugged it. He assured me the intermittent heating on the lighted burners on my stove top was normal to keep the settings constant- not a short as I feared-haha-and assured me it was not silly of me. As a grandma, this service call was a big deal to me and NICA's reasonable rate for the call, labor, and parts along with Edward's kindness and professionalism was excellent. I am happy to know I can call Williamsburg VA NICA with any appliance problems in the future and be treated well.

A technician came out to fix my washer and apparently never checked to make sure the issue was…read morefixed. I tried to start a load of laundry right after he left only to find that it was still not working. I immediately called the technician back to let him know and was told that he was pretty sure he knew what the issue was and he would need to order a part. He assured me that once the part came in someone would call me to schedule another appointment. I waited a month for that mystery part to show up and finally called NICA to ask if it was being shipped from a different planet. I was told...no lie...that my washer had already been fixed. When I explained to the gentleman what I had been told by the technician he informed me there was nothing in the notes and that the technician who came out said he did not remember telling me that. So, fine...a little miscommunication apparently. I haven't had a working washer in a month but it happens. Now for the best part, I am told that since the work order has been closed out I will need to pay another "initial" $100 fee for them to come out. Yeah...no thanks. You screwed it up royally the first time. I think I will take my chances elsewhere.

I was extremely disappointed. I asked Matthew to leave. He didn't seem to get the point. He was…read morequite rude, accusatory and put me on the defensive in my home. I felt unsafe and wanted him to leave. He continued to argue with me. I demanded he get out of my door as I followed him out. He pushed a button on whatever was in his pocket. His voice changed as he said "I have the right to refuse your service." I said you are in my yard. I declined your service when I asked you to leave. I called to complain and got zero concern. I asked if there was any reason to complain? Makayla chuckled as she said nope. I guess there is no one above Makayla and Matthew at Best Day which they did not provide.

Best Day Appliance came out to service my GE washer due to a rotten egg smell, made worse with the…read morewarmer seasonal temperatures. Matthew B responded to the service request. He walked in, without ever removing his backpack, stated that I needed to purchase something called Afresh to get rid of the smell. I stated that I have lived in this house for 24 years and have used this particular washer for almost two years and this problem has never before arisen. He then stated that he has "done this job for 8 years and he knows what he is talking about." Needless to say, I am quite bothered that I waited all day for Matthew B to walk in and tell me to buy Afresh. Although he was not rude, he was certainly dispassionate about my situation and suggested that maybe I should look into buying a more expensive washer. I called the Best Day Appliance office and spoke with the Office Manager who informed me that she is the only avenue for filing a complaint and that Matthew B is the only technician who works for Best Day Appliance. It's quite possible that Best Day Appliance is a mother/son business. Matthew's mother was nice enough to give me the phone number to Assurance if I wanted to request that they send a different company out to assess my machine. I wish Best Day Appliance all the best but they were certainly of no help to me today.
