It was still the exact same when I took it there, and when I pointed it out to , they said they would notify them on Monday. . On Monday I proceeded to the shop to get a follow up where I was greeted with hostility and treated as if I was the problem because I didn't tell them what to repair even though they had full range to diagnose what was broke and fix what was broke they failed to do so and blamed it on me. completely unacceptable to talk to a paying customer in that type of manner. Short story: Work they did led to more issues on my car (confirmed with second opinion it was their fault). They lied about it. And the owner was rude and  disrespectful.  Long story: Got my car alarm installed here. When I picked it up the gas gauge was not working. I was told that the gas gauge wasn't working when they started working on the car (blatant lie. It was working when I dropped it off same day and second opinion confirmed alarm installation caused the issue).  The owner checked the installation work and concluded that it was an unrelated issue. He literally said it was NOT POSSIBLE for it to be related to their work. At no point did he suggest that I bring the car back in for further inspection by the installer regarding the gas gauge. Instead he suggested that I change my entire gas pump and quoted me a price of $380, a "deal" due to the timing of the issue.  Then, I noticed that my door locks weren't working. 20 minute phone call, listening to how it can't be their fault. How nothing they did could have caused this. But to take it in so that they can inspect the door lock anyways. At no point was it ever stated that they would address the gas gauge issue again.  Before I took my car back to inspect the door locks, I got a second opinion on the gas gauge. Another mechanic found: the wire harness was not connected correctly after my car alarm installation was completed. He confirmed this would have to be disconnected/reconnected for alarm installation. After he connected it correctly, both issues were fixed.  I called Denton and spoke to the owner to explain what caused the gas gauge issue on my car and that I had to pay another mechanic to fix the issue that they caused and couldn't resolve. The owner still didn't believe it was their fault.  And yet, said I should  have just brought it in again because they would have found the issue (that he doesn't even believe they caused) and fixed it.. However, I was only bringing it in to address the door lock issue.  At NO point did he suggest that they would revisit the gas gauge issue or that they might be related.  The last he communicated to me was that the gas gauge issue was already inspected and diagnosed. That the pump needed replaced, and it was IMPOSSIBLE that it was related to their work.  I explained the situation to the owner to give him an opportunity to remedy as he seemed appropriate. No demands were made- it was an opportunity to keep me as a customer.  He failed. The owner continued to deny that they caused the issue, talked over me, raised his voice, and said that he "is a business owner and doesn't have time for [me]."  Mistakes happen. But lying and being disrespectful to a customer that you caused issues for in the first place is bad business practice.  That is how you lose customers. Fortunately, the other mechanic that fixed the issue was sympathetic to the messed up situation Denton caused and gave a huge discount. He was polite and respectful. Got told by the manager to go F--- myself today! I dropped my car off to get a leaking fuel line replaced. I came before normal operating hours, hoping for a key drop- no such luck. Ok, so I put the key under the mat and left a phone message. I tried calling at 9, 9:30, 10:00- no answer, just the fax. So my co-worker drove me over around 10:40, the shop was still closed with one of the employees locked outside, waiting with his ride. I ended up leaving the key with the tire shop next door. When I spoke to the manager at noon, he indicated that they would call when they got an estimate together later. No problem, at this point, at least the process was started. He did not indicate that the work might not be done until the next day. He finally called back with an estimate that seemed a little high but he softened it with an offer to replace the fuel filter for the cost of the filter... the car doesn't have an in-line filter!!!! A quick google search indicates that you'd have to replace the whole fuel pump inside the tank to replace anything like a fuel filter. After I had completed said search, I told him that I'd be picking the car up and taking it elsewhere. I started to tell him why, he told me that he didn't f-ing care why. It'll be $65 for the inspection and a storage fee if I didn't get it before he closes (I still don't know when that is). I was fine with paying the fee until he told me to go F--- myself and he doesn't care if he doesn't sees me or and my f---ing car again! It is quite possible they do good work at a fair price, but I had a horrible experience today. I'm actually a little intimidated to go pick up my car and pay for the inspection. I cannot imagine running a business this way. I hope all the best for him and his employees (especially the veteran he blamed for the shop opening late). Wish me luck. I'm going elsewhere. Edit- Addendum _____________ Picking up my key and paying for the inspection was mostly uneventful and polite. He advised I get a tow but I declined. He failed to note that my slow drip had accelerated to a spray worthy of a street sweeper. He did however tell me that when they get to work was no one's business but their own. He tried to shame me for disrespecting a veteran then dismissed it with, "you can't make everyone happy." I said as little as I could to keep things moving along. The estimate I received included the replacement of the fuel filter that doesn't exist. I don't know who did the inspection because that information was not included. No part prices were listed. My name and a couple of other things were misspelled; my name, spelled correctly, was on the note I left with the key, right there on his desk. The shop has several positive reviews on social media. Dentons had fixed a insurance claim on a my wifes 2015 camaro. (Back end damage)He has fixed my son's impala my dodge ram(front end work) and my impala (front end work) and the prices arw always affordable. I recently dropped my impala off at dentons. My son hit a pot hole and I thought my axle or ball joints where bad. He kept it for a good week trying to find out what the problem was and IT WASNT A PROBLEM and didn't charge me storage or a inspection fee. And he honestly could have. A few days ago I scheduled an appointment with Chicaros for 10 am today to get my breaks and oil changed. Long story short they had me waiting 30 minutes to tell me they couldn't do it without me going to get the parts myself. (truck was almost undriveable) I called Terry at Dentons Auto Repairs and told him whats going on, knowing he had other things to get done, he told me come on over down the street to his shop and he would take care of me. Not only did Terry take care of me, he got my truck fixed and back in my possession in just 4-6 hours. An Oil change and A full front break change. Rotors, Calipers, Break Lines, Pads, Ect... He gave me one of the lowest quoted prices out of everyone around and got all the parts for the job to get finished. This is an honest mechanic and a stand up guy. Long story short, I started a new job and on my second day of the job my car was hit in a parking lot (I was not in the vehicle). Thankfully, the person who hit my car left their contact information and we went through his insurance to pay for the repairs. I was told by insurance after submitting several estimates, that the repair is a two day repair so I would only receive a rental car for 2 days. Mr. Denton said I could drop my car off before they open on a Monday and pick it back up on Wednesday morning. I contacted Mr. Denton after finding out that I only have the rental car for two days and wanted to inquire about picking the car up on Tuesday night instead of Wednesday morning because like the insurance company, Mr. Denton had also confirmed it would a one day repair with the second day just waiting for the paint to dry and I needed to leave at 6am on Wednesday morning for a work trip which would require me to take a rental car on the trip if I did not have my car back before then. Mr. Denton was clearly not listening to my dilemma and told me to suck it up and pay the $30 dollars for an extra day of having a rental because HE was saving me money. I kept trying to explain that I would not be able to keep the rental for just one more day due to my work trip and I shouldn't have to pay anything additional when I didn't cause the damage to my vehicle and insurance is paying for the costs. Not to mention, the rental is more than twice as much as just the $30.00 he thinks it costs to have a rental. He basically told me to go F myself and take my car somewhere else simply because I was asking if I could pick the car up on a Tuesday night instead of Wednesday morning and/or possibly reschedule the repair due to my work schedule. He is the most unprofessional, rude, and arrogant business owner I have met thus far. Mr. Denton was more concerned about what the estimates were from insurance and changed his estimated cost several times.
