They kept telling us that our children needed a special toothpaste to remineralize their teeth to avoid cavities, but every 6 months they needed multiple fillings, sometimes multiple sides on a tooth. One child had so many fillings (10-12 teeth) that I finally called to check which teeth had gotten done before. Some teeth had been done more than once, but they told me they were different spots on the same tooth. My youngest was leaving for college last year and yet again they told us he had 3 teeth with cavities, but they could "squeeze" him in right then. That way he could be done before he left for college. We took care of them. Those three teeth were $1042. Fast forward, he returns from college, goes for his cleaning and now he has 3 more teeth with cavities at an estimated cost o $975. He was home for summer, so they scheduled him for a while later. Luckily for us, we moved and found another dentist near our new home. We forwarded his records to the new dentist and scheduled an appointmemt to take care of the 3 teeth that had multiple cavities. My son went to the appointment and came home in less than 30 minutes. The dentist looked at his X-rays, took new ones and said they did not see any cavities! In fact they looked at the cavities that had been filled PREVIOUSLY on the X-rays and said they would not have filled most of them. They showed him and me what to look for on an X-ray, so we could see for ourselves. Going to Restoration Dental cost us thousands of dollars in unnecessary fillings. Nevermind the trauma that my children had to endure with getting shots and further tooth damage for the unnecessary drilling that was done to "clean out" nonexisting cavities. Now my children have the good fortune of looking forwards to possibly having these unnecessary fillings weaken their teeth over time and potentially cause broken teeth, more painful procedures and bigger bills as they get older. I have attached a copy of the last estimate for my son (look how many more teeth they were "watching"). LET ME REPEAT THAT THE NEW DENTIST DID NOT SEE ONE ISSUE THAT WAS ON THE ESTIMATE, AND LOOKED AT HIS PREVIOUSLY FILLED CAVITIES AND SAID THEY WOULD NOT HAVE FILLED MOST OF THEM. If you choose to go to this dentist, don't trust what they say, have them prove it to you. Btw, I noticed there is another review complaining of the same thing. This practice should refund my money and pay me for damaging my children's teeth. I am trying to see where I can legally report them.

She is so sweet!! After x-rays and scans, I met with Dr. Gandhi who was very understanding of my fear. He was gentle and explained everything that needed to be done and what those options were. It was scary looking at all that was needed, but they offer sedation dentistry and that's what I did. After a good couple of hours of being "consciously knocked out", Dr. Gandhi, Whitney and Britney got the work done! I left being able to smile showing my teeth for the first time in years! But more so, correcting the things that could affect the rest of my health. After I got home I did NOT have ANY pain which is saying a lot as I had a ton of work done. They said that days 3-4 might be the worst for pain, but there was NONE. And that's taking nothing but ibuprofen. The advancement of dentistry is amazing. More than that, finding a dental office that treats you like family, sees you at your scheduled time, offers you neck warmers, blankets, headphones with your choice of music...but most of all truly cares about your patient experience. On Jan. 5th, I developed an excruciating pain in one of my teeth. I immediately went home and to my dentist and found out that I needed a root canal. The dentist I was seeing admitted that he had not done a root canal before, but he could probably do it. I said "No way" and started searching for dentists near Atlanta. I quickly came across Mid City Dentistry and noticed the incredible reviews on every forum and decided I would go and get my root canal (which needed to be done ASAP) at Mid City Dentistry. As soon as I called, I could tell why the reviews were so good. Mercury was able to put me at ease after I explained to her how nervous I was about the procedure. I felt confident about the procedure after the phone call. When I went in and met Joscelyne, I could tell that I was in the right hands. She explained the entire procedure to me and was very patient with me despite my many questions. After meeting Dr. Michaels, I realized just how much the dentist can affect the patient's experience. Dr. Michaels again reiterated that the procedure would be fine. He told me how experienced he was with the root canal procedure and made me feel comfortable and right at home. Pretty soon, I was numbed up and watching "I Am Legend" while the procedure was being done. I felt absolutely no pain during the procedure and was comfortable the entire time. In all of my follow-up visits, I have been treated with the exact same professional care. I have also noticed that they know most of their patients by name and always greet them when they come in. Instead, I paid around $100 for x-rays and a session where the dentist briefly brushed and flossed my teeth, demonstrated a new flossing technique focused on gum health, and measured gum pocket depth. I was then told to follow this routine at home and return in six weeks to assess any changes--no cleaning was performed at that first visit. At the follow-up appointment, I was seen by a different dental hygienist whose overly cheerful and rehearsed demeanor felt disingenuous. While she wasn't overtly rude, the interaction felt hollow and uncomfortable, which added to my unease. During the cleaning, she made a snide comment about my dental habits and then completed the rest of the procedure without much communication. I also noticed an unpleasant personal odor, which was surprising and concerning given the setting. Hygiene and professionalism are especially important in a dental care environment, and this contributed to a sense that standards were not being met. Unfortunately, during this visit, I believe the hygienist injured my gums multiple times due to a careless approach in handling sharp instruments. As I was walked to the checkout counter, the hygienist casually mentioned that I "might need antibiotics" in six months if the issue with my gums didn't resolve -- an issue I am not sure I had walking in to this appointment. I never saw the dentist again during that visit, and no additional guidance or follow-up was provided beyond the flossing and brushing routine recommended weeks earlier. This entire experience left me shaken and disappointed. I have no history of gum issues or needing oral antibiotics, and this visit left me worse off than when I arrived. I haven't felt comfortable speaking up, but I'm sharing this because no one should leave a dental visit with lingering pain or uncertainty about the care they received. I genuinely hope this office takes the opportunity to improve how it communicates services upfront and invests in better training for staff--especially when it comes to patient care, professionalism, and technique. Patients deserve clear communication and quality care that prioritizes their well-being and comfort.
