My experience with Dental Depot has been awful from day one. I had immediate dentures made using a 3D image instead of a traditional mold, and they never fit properly from the start. After months of appointments, we were finally getting close to something workable when a technician cracked my dentures. I was then told by the doctor that I would need to start completely over with a new top denture. Throughout this process, the staff showed very little empathy. On more than one occasion when I called or came in, I was asked, "What seems to be the problem now?"--which made me feel like a burden rather than a patient. For six months, I returned every three weeks for adjustments to a wax mold. Each time, I explained that the dentures were uncomfortable, yet when they came back, the issues were never corrected. When the fit slightly improved, the teeth still protruded too far, giving me a buck-toothed appearance where my bottom lip would tuck underneath them. I repeatedly pointed this out, but it was never properly addressed. At what I thought would be my final wax fitting, they instead presented a finished product that still did not fit correctly. While the suction had improved, the appearance and comfort were unacceptable. The doctor even told me to take them home and "try them out." I explained that if they did not fit properly in the office, they would not fit at home, and I declined. The doctor initially offered to restart the process, but then the office manager stepped in and said they could issue a refund and refer me to a specialist--only if they took the dentures back. After everything, I left feeling frustrated and defeated. About a week later, I called to restart the process and scheduled a new appointment. When I arrived, I was told my appointment had been canceled--without any proper notice--and that they would be keeping my $2,000, letting me keep my broken dentures, and referring me elsewhere. I never received a call about this, only a text confirming the appointment. As a result, I am currently stuck using cracked dentures. I am afraid to eat with them, so I remove them and stick to soft foods. I only wear them in public. This has been a degrading and deeply emotional experience. Having your teeth removed is already difficult enough, and I was made to feel like it was insignificant. There was one technician who was kind, and I wish her the best. Unfortunately, the overall experience has been life-changing in the worst way. I do not recommend this location. I plan to contact corporate to file a complaint in hopes of getting a refund so I can afford dentures that actually fit and function properly. I got a dental crown at this clinic, and it came off after just two weeks--which is unacceptable. I called to get it fixed, and they gave me an appointment. But when I arrived, they told me to wait 1-2 hours because "other patients were more important." I asked for another appointment, and they refused, saying I can't book again. They took money from my insurance but didn't fix my tooth and now say they can't help me anymore. Very unprofessional--be careful before trusting this place. Went here for a cleaning after not having one done for 2 years. The last dentist insisted on doing work that I did not need, resulting in me feeling distrust. That's a place did a great job making me feel relaxed. They did my cleaning with no added services or fees. Genevieve did a great job with my cleaning. Also the assistant were helpful and kind. The doctor also was very knowledgeable and didn't try to charge me for things I don't need. read more

I started coming to this office about a couple of months ago. There is a female hispanic staff member who gives me dirty looks and is extremely unpleasant and rude when I come in. Mind you, I have never even verbally interacted with her at all. From my initial appointment to the last time I was there on the 17th of June she has given me bad vibes and I am already fearful of the dentist from having a bad experience with braces. She literally kept looking back at me from her seat behind the welcome desk and sneering. I have no idea what her issue with me is and I put in my headphones to try and tune out the conversation she was having about me with another staff member. I'm not sure if it's my skin color (I am an African American woman), or what issue this person has but I am going to request my medical records and find a dental office that has staff who have positive and upbeat attitudes and don't sneer at or disrespect paying customers and patients. The dentist who works here Dr. Annas is very nice and listens to my issues (have been having problems with food getting stuck and he had helped me prevent more cavities and fixed my fillings). Despite this, I am not going to continue to give my money, time, or energy to a location whose staff clearly does not want me to be there. If this is your standard of care, you all really need to reevaluate who you have interacting with patients. It takes effort and energy to be mean and nasty to people. Everyone at the Dental Depot on 91st and Indian School is amazing with the exception of the only man at the front desk. I believe his name is Justyn. He has absolutely zero customer service skills. I have been to that office three times, most recently this afternoon and the service from him has gotten worse each time. Fortunately, everyone else in the office is absolutely wonderful including Dr. Annas. Dr. Annas fitted me with 4 temporary crowns. I was pleased with the him and his dental tech throughout the entire process. I am looking forward to getting my permanent crowns. I am pleased to say I am not dreading the future work Dr. Annas will do on my mouth. He is always pleasant and upbeat. Add that to the fact he is a really good dentist and you end up with a great dental experience. read more

My schedule waa with Dr. Taylor but for some reason he didn't show up instead he sent another Dr. Michael tafolla ,this guy without introducing him self to me he proceed with treatment options very rushing and seems to be he doesn't care for the patient. Only positive thing from this experience was the fact that I was able to book an appointment the day beforehand. My 4 year old fell off of playground equipment & we worried that there was permanent damage. However, this was the WORST dentist visit I have ever had. I was very disappointed with my recent visit to this dental office. Despite my appointment time, I was kept waiting for an excessively long period without any explanation or apology. When I finally did receive attention, the staff's communication was confusing and inconsistent regarding my son's treatment plan. They took my insurance but not the exact type of insurance. So I had to pay $90 out of pocket for an X-ray & an exam but no cleaning, which was not fully communicated. It felt as though details were either lost in translation or not taken seriously at all. The front office staff didn't communicate to me appropriately or correctly. They charged my card & didn't even give me a receipt. I asked the office manager for a receipt but was given attitude instead & told I would have to wait for a receipt. Despite all the waiting we had already done. It was an extremely frustrating experience. I'll never go back to this location ever again. The only thing my son did enjoy was the trains. The dentist that we did see only looked at my son's teeth for 5 minutes & glanced at the X-ray's. When asked if everything was okay, he joked with my son that he'd have to pull all of his teeth. My poor son is 4 & didn't understand that that was a joke. Overall, the attitude of the staff was noticeably unprofessional--they seemed dismissive and disinterested in addressing my concerns. Which is extremely heartbreaking especially when this was my 4 year olds first dental experience. It was absolutely terrible. We are now searching for a pediatric dentist because this office did not seem equipped to work with children. I believe that patients deserve punctual service, clear communication, and a respectful attitude during their visit. Unfortunately, my experience fell short in all these areas. I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with Dental Depot due to the ongoing frustration I've had trying to obtain a copy of my dental exam notes. I submitted a release of information form on a Monday, which was acknowledged by staff, and was told it would take up to 48 hours. That seemed reasonable -- until it wasn't. After following up multiple times throughout the week, I was repeatedly given different excuses. One staff member, Rosa, told me the manager was out and only they had access to the doctor's notes. Another day, I was sent only my dental X-rays. Then, days later, I received a vague letter from the doctor, but still no actual notes from the exam. A full week later, I still don't have the records I requested. Each call resulted in long hold times (over 20 minutes), conflicting information, and no resolution. I was made to feel like I was the inconvenience, even though I've simply been asking for something straightforward. If a dental office relies on one person to access patient records, it's setting itself up for poor service. To make matters worse, they don't offer a patient portal, which would have prevented this whole situation. Overall, this experience has been frustrating, time-consuming, and disappointing. I hope the office seriously considers improving its communication and record-handling processes. read more

The referral process of $25 per person is not actual. I referred 3 people, but the credits don't really apply. I have 2 younger kids and one adult son, all who had AHCCCS and didn't need to pay out of pocket, yet my $75 in credits as well as their $25 credit each was applied to the "family account" and was taken for treatments that were fully covered by insurance. When I actually had a procedure to pay for, there were no credits on the account to actually apply towards a cash balance. I had her print my entire history and they just disappeared. The dentist himself is great, and Ana the office manager is going to do a deep dive to figure everything out, but please make sure you track any referrals and make sure they are used for out-of-pocket payments and not deductions to an insurance payout. read more

I had the WORST experience. I had went in to have two fillings done and a temporary crown. Everything seemed okay. It wasn't until I came home and looked in the mirror to see the HUGE, burnt, gaping hole that was in my cheek to realize everything was not okay. Mind you, I am still numb from the procedure and had no idea this huge hole was inside my cheek. I return with my mom and speak with a few people about the hole in my cheek. They take pictures and eventually Heather Curcio, the Dentist who worked on me and burnt me, comes back in to talk to me. Heather totally down plays the hole in my cheek as a "tiny mistake," and by this time my mom and I want answers as to why Heather or any of the staff did not inform me of the hole in my cheek prior to me leaving the first time. My mom is clearly upset, as any mother would be, and is asking why did it not get mentioned. Heather's attitude was totally dismissive and tried to play down the situation which upset my mom. My mom gave her the same "attitude" and Heather LITERALLY wanted to fight my mom over the mistake that SHE made! This is absolutely unprofessional. It clearly shows that WHEN they make a mistake, they will not conduct it properly or professionally. DO NOT trust this place for your dental needs. Heather clearly does not have the professional capability to work as a professional dentist/hygienist. I would NEVER recommend this place to provide professional care for you, your children or anyone! The pictures provided do no justice. It is WAY worse in person. read more
