Rudely dismissed by doctor: I was inundated with text…read moremessages from Dental Wise office reminding me of an upcoming cleaning appointment and the need to confirm. I confirmed and showed for my appointment. I was seated by the hygienist, when the doctor stepped into the room and said he wanted to speak with me. .. He asked me "Why are you here?" I politely answered his question. To complete my cleaning, and because your office owes me money. ( This immediately set him off.) He immediately argued the point, about owning me money. The next thing I know he is acting like a 10 year old and making uncalled for comments. I actually had to ask if he had ever looked at my medical history. By the look on his face, I knew he never had. (I.E. medical history and dental history are very closely intertwined) He proceeded to try to argue facts with me re: my account. I let him know he was uninformed of what was going on. ( unbeknownst to him, I had in my hands the insurance paperwork and treatment, and bank statements to review with billing personnel after appointment) He then proceeded to tell me several times that "I wasn't welcome there." Unceremoniously dismissed. LOL. I've been kicked out of better establishments. He was incredibly rude, and unprofessional. As a dentist who is injecting people with medications, it is very important to know your patients medical history and not be throwing juvenile insults them. For a dental provider you certainly are not aware of the impact or importance of the opinion you leave on the community and your patients. Which is really too bad, because as a ROOKIE you should be.

I have been going to Dr. Hubrich since 2001 or so when he used to work for Dental Net (TUSD dental). He has since branched out into his own practice. Professionally, I trust everything this man tells me about my teeth. I once made the mistake of going to another dentist, who made most mechanics look like saints. He has a great touch and has never once hurt my mouth while doing work. He removed two wisdom teeth in 30 minutes, I was completely healed within a week, eating solid food two days after the surgery. Personally, he picks up our conversation right were we left off six months prior. Sure he make take notes as a reminder, but it doesn't matter to me. Nice guy, great staff, great stories to tell while picking the gunk out of your teeth. I emphatically recommend Dr. Hubrich, every experience I have had with him in 7 years has showed me no wrong.

My biggest disappointment with this practice has been the lack of communication and customer service. There is absolutely no communication regarding upcoming appointments--no confirmation texts, phone calls, or emails. On one occasion, we arrived at the appointment time we believed we had scheduled, only to be told that our actual appointment was scheduled for a later time. A simple courtesy reminder or confirmation would have prevented this confusion and inconvenience. The orthodontic services themselves have been average--nothing particularly exceptional or above and beyond what we have experienced elsewhere. I understand that this practice may have a large patient volume, but it often feels as though everything is left entirely up to the patient or parent to keep track of. This is especially disappointing considering that many of the patients are minors who are in school, meaning parents or guardians are ultimately responsible for making sure they get to their appointments on time. In my opinion, basic courtesy communication--such as a reminder text, call, or email--should be the minimum standard of customer service, particularly in a practice where appointments are so important. Overall, we have been disappointed with the level of communication and service. Orthodontic treatment is a significant commitment, and patients and parents should feel that the practice values their time and makes an effort to communicate with them. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience so far.

Marianna is the best hygienist and makes your entire experience pleasant and you can really tell she loves what she does and cares for her patients.
