Their office is located in an upscale professional medical building and the pictures on their website are of their actual office. It was as nice or nicer than any dentist office I've been to in the U.S. Everyone I met was friendly, professional, and spoke English well. Dr. Jessica was excellent - thorough, attentive, and easy to communicate with. While I initially chose to come here for the prices, I was most impressed by the quality of care. Went here for the first time on a Friday afternoon upon referral from my dentist. Yes, I needed a…read moreroot canal *sad face* I am told this office is typically closed on Fridays, but will come in for scheduled cases. And I was able to be scheduled quickly. I was able to fill in new patient forms online prior to coming in. Located in a shared medical office building, the waiting and reception area is small but so clean and beautifully decorated. Most importantly, Dr. Oswald was so friendly and explains every step, making sure I know what is happening and that I am at ease. When I mentioned that I have previously been treated by another more established endodontist in the area, Dr. Oswald spoke highly of the other Dr. the only painful part of the procedure was when the anesthesia was being injected around the tooth, and that is unavoidable. The root canal itself was painless and quick. I did not even have any pain later that afternoon when the anesthesia wore off. Additionally, I had mentioned another area that my dentist had pointed out, involving a previous root canal. He took the time to take and xray and give some advice, totally appreciated. No one wants to have a root canal.. but this office and Dr. Oswald is a great place to go if it does come up!

I ended up needing an emergency appointment and was able to be seen same day and begin my treatment. (Thank you front office for getting me in as I was coming all the way from Riverside county!) During the first visit, Dr. Alex was very thorough in explaining what was going on and what my treatment options were. We were able to begin treating the infection build up but did need to split up my treatments due to the amount of infection. I was in between plans so I was fortunate to be able to travel to TJ and they value it in my tooth and it was so cracked that I couldn't just get it repaired instead they had to pull it and put it in implant. It was taken care of that day with meticulous care. I know the dentist has a very high-level of attention to detail, which I really appreciated. Wasted my time, money and gas to make these trips Do I have confident to drive down and make them re-do the broken crown? Do I trust them to do a 3 teeth bridge for me? I guess I'll be staying locally and get the dental bridge done. Pain free I was eating tacos 30 min after (probably not very recomendable) After this I had my braces done here. My treatment lasted just a little over a year. Office is clean and the drs are very knowledgeable. If I'm not mistaken dr. Julio is also a dental surgeon and professor at the university. Also they accept most American dental insurance. Mine covered all expenses didn't even have to pay co payment. And covered the braces where here in the US it wouldn't have been because it is seen as cosmetic.

They make sure my teeth are healthy, thoroughly examined, and properly cleaned. No added b.s. that I never asked for. All the staff here are great to work with. The problem with finding a great dentist is finding one that is super-skilled at what they do, really care about you as a patient and are affordable. It's easy to find one with one of these things, not super hard find one with two, but really, really hard to find one with all three. Dr. Ramirez has all three. With other dentists I found in Tijuana (some of which are highly rated on this site), so many are just running tourist mills. I always felt rushed, I felt pressured to get treatments I didn't need or the price I was quoted changed sometimes mid-procedure. On the other hand, Dr. Ramirez is always willing to sit and explain every problem, procedure and options at length in English which is great for Americans like me that know no Spanish. He is very honest about expected outcomes and follow-ups. It is very clear that he takes his work very seriously and really cares about you as a patient and a person. He goes out of his way to make sure the process is painless and comfortable. His finished product is the best I've had in my life. He also quotes a price and sticks with it which will be at least half and maybe more than what you would pay in the states for the exact same work. I could not be happier in finding Dr Ramirez. I have recommended him to my family and friends and even created a Yelp account just to write this long-winded review. I hope I don't have to see him again for a little while, because, well, that means I am having a problem, but I am relieved that when that problem comes, I have a great place to go to.
