I recently purchased an electric car and needed to have a 240V outlet installed in my garage so I could charge the vehicle. I am relatively new to the area and live in a new house so I have not needed an electrician before now. I found Erik by searching on Yelp and he had a very high rating so I figured I would give him a shot. I called his number, which was promptly answered by his answering service who took down my information. I received a call back from Erik within 30 minutes. I explained exactly what I needed and he gave me an estimate over the phone and we set up an appointment for the following Friday. The morning of the appointment I received a text message from him confirming the appointment, which was very much appreciated since you hear stories of all types on contractors never showing up for scheduled appointments. We had scheduled our appointment for between 12-3. I received a text from Erik letting me know that the job he was working on was running a little long and wanted to know if it was okay that he would be late. No problem at all since it was appreciated that he let me know. When he arrived he got right to work installing the outlet. He was very careful as he worked to ensure that the end product looked good. He treated my project as if he was working on his own home even though it was late on Friday afternoon - I never sensed that he was trying to rush through the job. The final product was installed perfectly and I have been enjoying a nicely charged vehicle in my garage all weekend. I should also add that his final invoice was $25 less than his quote! I was on vacation in Big Bear when my main breaker shorted. I received a call from my neighbor Sunday afternoon letting me know. The next morning on Memorial Day my neighbor found Eric to come look at my breaker. Unfortunately the bad breaker ended up frying my whole panel. Eric gave a very reasonable quote, so I told my neighbor to give Eric the go ahead to replace my panel. When we arrived home from our drive from big bear late Memorial Day afternoon Eric was working on my panel to ensure my family had electricity and A/C for the evening. Eric did a fantastic job with the panel. As a previous reviewer stated Eric took his time and made sure the job was done right, clean and looked great. Eric Dent of Dent Electric installed new outlet for a wall mounted TV and routed wire and made a very safe outdoor GFI outlet as well as a GFI outlet that handles two freezers... I had two outdoor flood lamps that were damaged and i thought would be replaced...Eric repaired both as good as new...and now i have eliminated major problems i had seen for years-they are all correct and working now....It was a pleasure having Eric come out and do the work...he listened to what i would like and he did it and made it even better than i had hoped it would be..thanks Eric. Erik Dent with ROC 302941 is a very knowledgeable and helpful electrician. I found him using a post on Craigslist and wasn't so sure at first, but I saw his roc number listed and referenced it on the roc website. It turned out he was licensed and appears to be very experienced. After a short phone call explaining the issue, he told me of a troubleshooting method he uses. Upon returning home, I found the issue I had been working to remedy for 4 days. We came down from WA. to our little retreat in AZ. Upon arrival we discovered that we were without 110v in the main house (still had 220v) and had 110/220v normal in Arizona room. Today started out with two no shows from hired electricians on a remodel door wall. I found this guy on yelp and Erik came out today to help with a big remodel that tied 4 different trades together and went way up and above (2nd sorry attic ) to be precise to tie in some crucial electrical to make room for a telescoping patio door just In time for huge family Easter party. This guy is as high level as I've seen in the remodel world. Do yourself a favor and save this guys number In your phone. Erik has made 3 or 4 trips to our house over a number of years. This involved re-wiring and installing kitchen overhead lights (both fluorescent and LED) and any other electrical problems which needed to be addressed and corrected at the time.
