Vehicle had some moderate work done yet, Ben offered this information without my even asking. Try getting THAT somewhere else!!! Perfect vehicle for my needs. Love it! Now it's time to talk money and I meet Ben, the co-owner and main sales force. The vehicle seemed to need a couple minor things to help make me comfortable with the purchase, and these were done, WITH a LOANER car, thanks to Ben. Dave at the front counter is Ben's right hand man, and very capable. Every employee I bumped into or interacted with at Gateway was at minimum professional, and as I understand it they are all ASE certified! Between them all, the agreed minor repairs were completed, my full smile installed, deal struck. A good deal. In closing, now many hundreds of miles later, my vehicle is running and behaving perfectly. I bought this at a fair price and Dave and Ben did what they said they would do, and did so respectfully and promptly. This was an out-of-pocket expense to repair relatively minor damage to a Ford aluminum body pickup. I used the center in Irvington. I allowed myself to fall victim to the "bait and switch" tactics in their contract as my final cost was nearly double the original estimate. I understand and expected the cost to be higher than the quote. I was contacted twice with the "we found additional damage" news. You have little recourse when your vehicle is dis-assembled, but to pay the inflated bill. To miss a quote a repair by nearly 4K is unacceptable. This is either incompetence or unethical or both. Either way, use them at your own peril. To top it off, I received a text, asking for a positive review. They have lost a customer forever in me, my family and friends forever.

I went to Acme for the first time April 1 and Curt (the owner) was the absolute nicest guy -- felt…read morelike I knew him forever, and right when I first started talking to him I could sense the sincerity and integrity of this guy and the place -- one of the cleanest auto and body shop repair places that I have ever been to. To make a long story short, Tires Plus, on 132nd and Maple told me this Ford Escape of my daughter's which I had just spent a bunch of $$ at Tires Plus to put a new AC compressor in and recharge a few weeks ago now needed more work. But, when we tried the AC on warm days and even the day after leaving the place the first time after the repair it was not throwing any cold or even cool air out. When I took it back in, assuming it was under warranty from 3 weeks before, they said it now needed a new evaporator coil. The cost? $1600. I took the car back and took it to Kurt at Acme. He and his mechanics checked out the whole AC system to find out it was only a fuse and now the AC is working great and Acme did that at minimal cost. I will keep bringing my cars to Acme. Do not waste your time, energy, or money here. Baxter has partnered or acquired or done whatever…read morethey did with B Street and while I can't speak to the quality prior, that apparently is an acceptable excuse for poor customer service and even worse quality of work. I had a windshield chip, it was "repaired" at B Street, after being accused of already filling it (I should have left it alone, it looked better driving in than driving out). There was a massive hole drilled into the windshield and the resin was done so sloppily you can see it all over the area. The chip turned into a crack less than 24 hours later even though the chip stayed exactly the same prior to B Streets shoddy job for a month and with the car sitting idle the entire time. I was then ignored by Gina when I made her aware of the poor work and rather than trying to sell me a windshield, I was ignored, further proof they know they did a bad job. Eventually (a month later and after having to call Baxter HQ) I was quoted a new windshield and they would waive labor costs...Omaha Glass Pro was over $100 less INCLUDING labor. Go there and work with a great group of people who are pleasant, maintain high standards at all times, and have fantastic prices. B Street is a sad excuse for a business that would rather blame everyone else for their incompetence than find good people and raise their standards.
