I noticed a loud noise coming from my right rear of my car and the shock that they installed on the right rear already had broken loose and was making a loud noise, called back and talk to them. They said to bring the car back in a few days later, and they would look at it and fix whatever the problem was well it turned out. It was a broken shock brand new after installation. It broke and then I also had a tire replaced on the right rear and that tire continuously goes flat and it's brand new so I really appreciate everything they did but it seemed like everything they touched just was not blessed. I still have not taken the vehicle back or called them about the right rear new tire they put on the continuously goes flat. all in all, I was treated very good by the staff and the staff out in the bays were also very nice people. You stay in your car and you are in and out quickly. But Christian Brothers wins in almost every other category. The waiting room is clean and comfortable (even have cell phone chargers), the people are genuinely friendly, and the pricing has actually been better in my experience. On March 6, 2026, I brought my CR-V in for a hissing noise near the brake pedal, possibly a vacuum leak from the brake booster. The shop said they couldn't reproduce the hissing but recommended replacing all 4 brake hoses and both rear calipers, a total of $1,635.95. I agreed. A few weeks later, driving to the grocery store, my brake pedal sank to the floor and the brake light came on. I used the handbrake to pull over safely. The driver side rear caliper they'd just replaced was leaking brake fluid from the banjo bolt. I bought brake fluid at a nearby auto parts store, topped off the master cylinder, and limped the car home. The cause, per their own service advisor: the banjo bolt wasn't torqued properly to crush the copper washers. If I'd been on the highway, I could have been seriously injured or killed. A few days after the leak repair, I noticed a rhythmic clunking from the rear passenger wheel that stopped when I braked. I checked the wheel bearing (no play) and tightened all the lug nuts to at least 80 ft-lb. The actual problem: they'd failed to transfer the anti-rattle clip from the old caliper to the new one, the second mistake tied to the same job. When I brought it back and showed them exactly what was missing, they seemed disinterested in my findings. We took a test drive, agreed they heard the clunk, and took the car into the bay. After some time I saw my car roll back out into the lot. I went to check if the job was done. To my surprise the tech just jammed a second clip under the existing hardware instead of installing the correct missing one. It was at this point I realized these guys have no idea what they are doing, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back in to wait. The service writer told me the tech said the brakes seems fine and all the clips were there, and showed me photos as proof, but those same photos clearly showed the clip still missing. I was dumbfounded and confused as to why they weren't seeing what I was seeing in the picture, so I pulled up a picture of what the clip should look like and pointed to the big empty hole where it's normally installed.(Reference provided image) When I pointed this out, they took the car back one more time. Some time later, I was brought back to look, and the clip was suddenly there. I took out my phone and show them the photo that they themselves took, that clearly show the clip was missing. I asked both of them to their face to explain how this is possible. Neither the mechanic that worked on the car or the service writer could explain how the clip magically appeared. Almost a decade of relationship with this shop ended right there. Somebody wanted to cover up this embarrassing mistake and no one would admit it, even with clear photo evidence that they themselves produced proving the clip wasn't there just minutes earlier. You cannot trust a shop that would lie to you. Afterward I went to confirm that the original caliper replacement was actually still covered under their mileage warranty from a prior brake calipers job, meaning I should never have been charged the full $1,635.95 in the first place. When I asked for a partial refund, they offered $400 in shop credit. I asked for a cash/check refund or an offer to cover another shop to redo the work, given the negligence and coverup, no one in right mind would trust this shop. Any respectable and honest shop would have agreed this was a billing error and offered a cash/check refund or covered another shop to redo the work. But not this one. What use is store credit if I don't trust the shop to do a simple job right? Bottom line: they installed a caliper unsafely, nearly caused a serious accident, tried to cover up a second botched repair, and refused to properly refund a job that should've been under warranty. If you value your safety or your money, go elsewhere.

To me it is the stuff of nightmares, not too long ago I spent $1,800 in repairs that I literally ended up having to pay someone else to do. This is where AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care came in. After another shop replaced my transmission and left it in worse shape than the bad transmission they took out, I'd lost all faith and trust in mechanics and even considered just buying a new car instead of having to deal with a repair shop again. But I'd met Stephen and his team at The Best of Omaha 2016 event and spoke with them about my troubles and they were so understanding, I decided to give car repair one more try (plus I really didn't want a car note). Finally, I called and spoke with Stephen to make an appointment to bring in my truck. But I kept giving excuses that I couldn't bring in my truck because I was having difficulty finding a ride back home, and he quickly piped in to let me know that they would come and get my truck and as long as they do the repairs, there would be no charge. So I gave in and they came and fetched DC Girl, early in the afternoon on Monday and by late afternoon, Stephen called me to let me know what was wrong and how much it would cost and that my truck would be ready the next day. Stephen was sensitive to my reservations about bringing in my truck, there are no words to explain how relieved and comfortable he made me feel. Sure enough, he called me this morning right when he said he would and told me DC Girl was ready. They fixed my transmission, flushed my radiator, changed my oil and replaced my muffler and exhaust pipes, for a price I felt was more than reasonable AND he treated me to a home-made cupcake that his mother made (which was better than any of those high price cupcake places I've been to). AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care on 133rd Ct now has a forever customer. All I can say, is AAMCO provides the service, reliability and trust that every car owner dreams of and rarely finds. The price was $55 and since my car was practically new, it only took about fifteen minutes total.. They never even drove the vehicle because it was so new.. so, at the end of the day I went to all that trouble and overpaid only to have Lyft not approve my application for a minor traffic ticket! The person that helped me was Brent and he was nice.. he told me that the cost was recently raised because his boss told them to start charging more.. People, this is a racket because Lyft will not allow the recent tires plus inspection I received to drive for Uber (and it was only $20 at tires plus).. thanks for taking advantage of my situation
