This place was awesome for a Dennys. Which is a first for me. Like most places I go to eat I usually try out the steaks they have. I ordered the Tbone was excellent.. Me and my family loves it. This place is HORRIBLE. I ate there only because the place was close to the hotel. They had no clean silverware so they gave me plastic silverware. When I paid they ran my debit card 3 times. When I get back home ad look at my bank statement online I have been charge 3 times for my dinner. Avoid this place like the plague! read more

They get one extra star for the food being standard Denny's, which isn't bad. But, they don't ever have all the ingredients to everything on the menu. I.E. ordering an Apple Cranberry Chicken Salad and receiving a salad with no apples. Additionally, orders are consistently messed up, even if it's something easy seemingly un-mess-up-able. read more

This location sucks! Went there with the family and first the waitress didn't write any of our order down it was a family of 8 so when the food came out she forgot stuff and the order was all wrong like really that's why you need to write things down!! Then half the stuff we order they ran out of like bacon, who runs out of bacon a breakfast place??! Also we order three burgers and they said they only had two left 10 mins later. The coffee was awful like it's been sitting there for days. Your better off going to buccees across the street get you fresh cup coffee and a good ol' breakfast taco I guarantee you you'll be far more satisfied than going to that crappy location. Had two roaches join us for dinner tonight. Waited 20 minutes for the manager to acknowledge us. She stood in the kitchen and looked at us. When we asked for her attention again she came to the front and proceeded to say "There were people sitting there earlier and they didn't say anything." Ummmm. Well, three of your employees saw them as well... And we didn't bring them with us. We ended up leaving with $2 off our meal and a really sour taste in our mouths. read more

Denny's in Wharton Texas is absolutely NOT the place to dine in the evening! Our family likes to have "breakfast for dinner" and Wharton Denny's is the closest restaurant to home that serves breakfast 24/7, but we will drive the extra 30-50 miles to go elsewhere from now on! Two times we've visited there in the last 10 days and both times they've been playing extremely loud rap music (explicit lyrics) in the kitchen that is loud enough to be heard throughout the entire restaurant... Mind you our 5 & 10 year old daughters were with us! On top of that ridiculousness, we've sat for over 10 minutes both times with empty drinks, our food hasn't been how we ordered it & staff is in general not attentive AT ALL!! And the absolute WORST part of the entire experience --- last night our waitress came to our table with a lollipop in her mouth!!! She wouldn't even take the thing out of her mouth to answer our questions, just mumbled inaudible words... I realize we weren't dining at a 5 star restaurant, but that is ridiculous and beyond RUDE! Never again for this family! On a positive note-- we have dined there multiple times (10+) in the mornings and it is a totally different atmosphere! I placed an order to go. I asked for a bacon cheese burger with jalapenos and onion rings. When I got there and paid for my meal I didn't check it. When I got home and went to eat the burger was dry and they gave me french fries instead of onion rings. Other than that I enjoyed it. I should have asked for sauce on my burger so I can't blame them for not putting any. I will be back and I will check my food before I leave next time the burger was good enough to get another one. read more

Doing this for my husband. He has gone to this Dennys a few times . He said the food is horrible and its never cooked right. This morning his breakfast he couldn't even take two bites and he left and had a better breakfast at McDonalds. And he is not typically a picky or difficult customer. read more

My family and I recently stopped and dined at Denny's in Wharton,Texas. We were welcomed with a friendly greeting, and we aslo had an exceptional waitress Courtney very friendly and attentive, the place was very clean and food came out on time we didn't have to wait long at all. Horrible service. First off they give us a dirty table and after the waitress comes back after almost ten minutes I ask her to bring me napkins to clean it. She comes back with a nasty filthy rag to clean it. Then, we order coffee & I'm not going to lie we waited almost half an hour until I told her to just cancel the coffees and bring us something else. We kept waiting for our food and we never got it. After being there for 45 we ask the waitress how long will the food take to be ready and if they've started with or order and she just said she didn't know. I know there's some things waitresses can't control but at least go and check instead of texting on your phone in the back how we caught her doing. The place had only a couple of tables occupied, there really wasn't many people. I don't understand why they were taking so long for everything. And the manager was useless not even try to seem concerned or go check in the back to at least tell us if they had started on our order. I've been to a busy Denny's before and we have had way better service with half the wait time. read more

Was served bad milk. Was so bad the milk was thick. The chicken on my sandwich was hard to chew. The waitress look and sounded like she was high. Over all I don't think I will be going back anytime soon. Do stop here keep going. They don't even deserve a star. read more

ate breakfast there this morning. As usual, service was very slow. Amateurs. food was ok, but not worth the wait. we waited for everything. waitress "Debbie" just sat us down and forgot about us. finally ordered. like I said nothing special. even waited unreasonable amount of time just to pay our bill. mgr having problems with register. I put my money and check on the counter and left. don't really care if they got it. This an occurring problem the wife and I experience every time. on the way home back to Boling, tx, we noticed that "Niner's Grill" is open for breakfast...we'll try them instead. read more
