Who doesn't like Denny's. Good food served hot and fast. I've been going to Dennys since I was a little kid. I've had just about everything on the menu at least once. My faves are 'the slams', chicken fingers and the coffee. I spent many a late late night drinking pots of coffee and eating some grub while writing some paper for one college course or another. read more

Normally I don't like Denny's but my son wanted to go so I gave it another try. I was impressed with how friendly the waitress was. She was very good at checking on us and filling the drinks. The food was so much better then my last visit as well. My salad was freash and my pancakes was nice and fluffy. I left a four star instead of five for two reasons. One was they was still out of children cups so my munchkin was not very happy and the second reason was because the restrooms needed cleaned up some. The toilet paper holder was held together by a bread twist tie. Other then the above two things though my experience was great. I am actually happy my son was persistent to eat here. 10 pm place was half full they sat us on the other side by ourselves. when the replacement waitress brought our cold food 30 mins later she commented "oh we couldn't find you". then i heard her say to the line cook "i found the people for that food in the back". food took too long but above reason explains it. average food served cold. when trying to check out two waitresses were busy counting the till and made numerous mistakes, which is fine but there were people waiting to be seated, people waiting to pay, and others waiting to order. read more

I was not expecting to enjoy this meal as much as I did: my wife and I dined here because this where our son wanted to have breakfast. Our booth seating offered plenty of space and comfort. My meal was excellent: bourbon chicken skillet with red potatoes and vegetables. It contained two good size chicken breasts that were flavorful and had the hint of alcohol. I also ordered a side dish of onion rings that were a bit greasy, but otherwise perfect. My two family members ordered breakfast platters. Our server was the wife of the manager, filling in due to a lack of staffing. That situation has caused the restaurant to curtail its hours to 6 AM to 10 PM. The server was very friendly and customer-focused. Our meals totaled less than $40 with my 15% AARP discount: much appreciated. This was the least expensive breakfast check we have ever experienced and we had plenty of food. Good job, Denny's! read more

Denny's is a no bueno. The only good thing about the place was our waitress; she was very kind and sweet. Came back to see how things were a couple times despite how many tables she had. That being said, everything else wasn't as good as her. The food was just okay - disappointing. The toast was either burnt or not toasted at all. Butter was LATHERED on each piece, thought I was taking a bath in butter. Sausage links were burnt with a heavy char on one side. Eggs, cold around the edges. Bananas weren't ripe so they had a hard feeling and unripe taste. Strawberries no flavor. I had some pancakes where the blueberries were all piled in the middle so they didn't actually cook. Once the check was received it was discovered another table paid for what we had ordered, weird but it was cheaper. Hopefully they just had a bad cook in the kitchen or something. Do not come here I waited 20 minutes for a cup of coffee and a glass of Orange juice while all of the hostesses and servers talked in the back joked around with the cooks and generally hung out. And let's not leave out the ones who were standing outside of the front door smoking. One of the better choices close to the highway in Washington. If your looking for a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, then look no further. However, the service and food quality can be hit or miss. There is really no good time or bad time. What i'm trying to say is they are really inconsistent. They recently went through some renovations which enhanced the feeling of the restaurant. This location I feel thrives off the hotel goers and highway traffic. This is the second time we've been here and the waitresses are rude. Food sat in window and was horrible. Marissa acted like she was to busy to be polite even though there were us and two more tables. Took ten mins to get a refill on a water and when she did bring it she slammed it down on table. I haven't been to Denny's in years but it was after midnight on a weekday and it was the only place open. Just being honest. We walked in and were seated quickly. There were other diners so we weren't the only late night diners. The three of us all chose breakfast. I had scrambled eggs with cheese, rye toast, bacon, and hash browns. The hash browns were a little under done for my taste. I like a little more crispness on my hash browns. The rye toast also could have used a minute more in the toaster. The eggs were fluffy but there was very little cheese on them. The part that was most disappointing was the Bacon it was so thin you could have read a newspaper through it. The best part of my dining experience was our server. She was fantastic. read more

Decided to take my parents to lunch to see the grandkids and was hoping that Denny's had improved since the last time we were there. The server that we had did not get the order completely correct. I'm not sure if it's her fault or the kitchen's fault, but it was quickly remedied. The floors were so filthy. My two-year-old needed to use the restroom, so we went into the ladies room to find it in even more disarray than the rest of the restaurant. There was toilet paper and paper towels all over the floor and the one toilet was so disgusting that I was freaking out when my two-year-old had to touch it to go potty. The manager looked super frazzled, so I did not bother to report the terrible conditions. There was nothing fabulous about this visit. I doubt I will be back. read more

This was a second chance for this restaurant in Washington, Pa. We normally go to the one in Scott (very good). The wait time to be waited on was 15 minutes. Waitress brought coffee and soda for me at the table (I wanted soda). It was extremely cold - we wore coats. I drank some of the coffee and the waitress promised a refill but it never came. My fruit cup was delivered at the end of the meal. I got it to go to feed to birds - fruit was dried up and brown. My husband's waffle was good but he took one taste of the eggs and made a face. When we checked out, I gave the waitress $30 for a $23 bill. She gave me back $2. I explained to her that I needed more change. She told me "no" that I had given her $25. I asked her to count her register. She then gave me $5 and responded "here, I'll put in $5 of my own money." I then asked to speak to the manager - he explained that he was not the manager but the manager would be in the store on Thursday after 6 a.m. The tables were dirty.
