Had to run to DMV and as a reward to myself I stopped to grab breakfast. Dennys was closest and it's been years since I ate at one. I was seated immediately and the waitress was there in a minute. I got the all you can eat scrambled egg and cheese,pancakes and hash browns for 6.99. Wow the best deal on the menu . You can add bacon or sausage for an extra 1.25. The eggs weren't over cooked or hard but needed butter. The hash browns were plain. Needed salt,pepper ,onions, green peppers something . I added salt and pepper and butter.lol. The pancakes were good. I don't eat a lot and didn't get a second round but for $6.99 it was a good breakfast deal. Definitely get the strawberry pancake puppies. I stopped just short of the Maryland/Delaware state line, and I was famished. I noticed this Denny's right off the freeway, and made my way over here. Parking was easy to find. I walked in and was immediately seated. The staff was super busy, as there were a lot of people coming out of prom. I sat on a two-seater table, and got my water and coffee. I got my usual, which came out about 10 minutes later. The food was horribly made, and I protested to the waitress and manager. They took it back, and had it redone. The second time around, the meal tasted fantastic. They took longer than usual to process everything, but they had a lot of people to cater to that evening. The staff was working at a fast tempo, so mistakes can happen. They were cool about everything, and provided a good experience. Granted all employees should have a break during there shift, but as a common curtesy they should not come back in smelling like a cigarette. There was only two families in the whole resultant. we sat and waited to be seated for 10 minutes then sat at the table for 20minutes before anyone came to get our drinks. my food was ice cold. Denny's is that place I go to when I need to practice for retirement. During our last visit to the Eastern Shore, Hubs and I really wanted breakfast food. We were on the east side of town and decided to hop into Denny's. It was definitely busy since it was the day after Christmas, but we had no problem getting a table and our waitress quickly greeted us. I opened the menu and this is what I saw: Red velvet hush puppies! 10 for $2.99. "It's a limited time offer," said our waitress. "We'll take them!" I exclaimed! "You are out of your damn mind!" said my husband. So that was our appetizer so to say. It took awhile for them to come out (at least 20 minutes) and at that point, I had drank nearly 4 cups of coffee. I joked with the waitress that I was trying to push the limit of the unlimited refills. She told me that since she couldn't give me a pot of coffee, she could at least get me another cup. So I was double fisting. The hush puppies were out of this world. They were served with a white chocolate dipping sauce. With every bite, I could feel it going to my hips and my arteries clogging. Oh well. If I died, I would have been happy. I probably should have just stuck with the hush puppies because the grand slam was definitely disappointing. The bacon and sausage was just small and underwhelming. The only good part was that grand slams come with your choice of egg whites. Hubs had the Grand Slammich that was massive - totally gluttoness! I always have a good meal when I come to this Denny's location. Because of its proximity to my work, I'm here sometimes twice a week. The servers are always friendly and my meal is quick. I feel the quality/quantity of food is worth the money spent. Plus, there are always coupons, which make a sit down meal cheaper than a rushed greasy drive thru meal. Win-win read more

I have always loved Denny's... I begged my husband to take me even though he didn't want to go. He hates Denny's and now I do too... Let me tell you why. Over the past few years, their food has really began to suck. When he took me here last Thursday, I was so excited!! When we walked in, I put a dollar in the claw machine to play. (I'm VERY good at these and can always win) The claw didn't even drop around all the way and didn't even close. Doesn't work at all... So I went to the table where my husband was because they sat him without waiting to see if I was ready. Here's where it starts to get BAD. Luckily, he had his coffee, but it tasted terrible. It took the waitress a good 15-20 minutes just to come back to get my drink order!! (I'm a server somewhere else at a more fancy restaurant and I'm excellent at my job, so I could easily point out everything wrong and what she should've been doing vs not)... After she finally came back, I ordered a Cake Batter Milkshake. I was SO excited because I love that flavor. It took her about 30min to bring my milkshake!!! I'm not kidding. I kept looking around, but no one was coming over. Me and my husband were invisible for most the time there. Then when she did bring it, it has crunchy gross sprinkle things in it that hurt my teeth and worst of all, IT WAS SUPER SOUR!! I didn't take more than one sip of it. I couldn't... It made me sick. After that, another 20min or so just to get out food, which sucked!!! I got the half order of Zesty Nachos, as always, and they were cold and very soggy.... I had a side order of toast, which was burnt black. Disgusting. I would've never served that. Any of it. And she NEVER came back to check on us... And when she finally did, we were already done! Totally forgot to tell how she had also gotten snotty with me in the beginning when I was joking with her about how I wanted the toast that was in the picture of the menu. That specific toast. And she got rude with me, saying in the most snotty tone, "Not possible." The wait to pay for our meal was absolutely outrageous. It took them at least 10min to get one person paid. Then another, finally us. My husband spoke up about the milkshake, so they took that off at least, but it was just a terrible experience. It wasted several hours of our day, just waiting. I'm NEVER going back!!!!! And I really hope the owner/managers see this. It was about 1pm on Thursday June 6th, 2019.... My birthday was June 2nd so this was supposed to be for it. Terrible. The worst experience I've ever had at a Denny's. First we were not sat at a table that could accomodate the whole party. The manager stated that he asked if I wanted the tables moved together. I could not remember him asking but even so any other time, staff would automatically put the tables together. Then we had the worst waitress I've ever had. She did not greet us. On her first approach she asked what we wanted to drink. On her second approach she asked what we wanted to eat. That's it. Not one ounce of friendliness. My hash brown came out overcooked. My neices was fine and I called the waitress over to show her the difference. I then heard her yell three times, "She said her hash browns are too dark". I thought that staff were supposed to discuss this away from customers. They then sent me hash browns that were clearly undercooked. I could not understand it because again, my neice's had been cooked perfectly. The manager came over, apologized and took $6.00 off. It was the worse experience I've had at any restaurant. The coffee was hot and fresh and the waitress kept the refills coming. We both ordered sandwiches - me a burger and my friend a chicken sandwich. Both came with fries. Food was good and came out fresh and hot. We were there around 3pm and there were maybe 5-6 tables occupied on the dining room side where we were seated. Since the renovation FROM the previous restaurant to the now Denny's I have been there twice and each time was very good-the steak was flawless it was great. The new club sandwich was excellent. It's very affordable and they have health conscience meals as well. Breakfast is banging and it's good for the south side of Salisbury to have a place like this. Oh yes, it has a bar yes a bar. Denny's is very economical. It is also one of the few restaurants that stay open after 10:00 PM. Now they have value menus for $2, $4, $6 and $8. They also have health conscience meals now. I recommend this place! read more

Low stars were from older reviews so took a chance due to a few favorable recent reviews. Not disappointed. Quickly seated. Our server, Brittany, was friendly, personable and attentive. Food was presented well and generous portions. The vegetable omelet appeared to contain fresh veggies and taste was reported to be excellent. Gluten free items available. Vegetarian options, too. The managers were visible and checking quality, satisfaction, serving and helping clear tables. With few exceptions, all workers appeared to be upbeat and enjoying their day. Renovations make the place look fresh and modern. Spot is a frequented place for regulars. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Next trip out this way, we will be stopping in again. Went to Denny's for lunch and was saddened by what I saw. Granted it was a holiday and the place was packed but service was mediocre at best, my waitress seemed like she was seriously overwhelmed and my order was wrong but I didn't feel like waiting for it to be fixed so I just accepted it and tried to eat it. The cheesy hash browns which were supposed to be seasoned fries were greasy and not hot enough to melt the cheese so my waitress microwaved them to melt it. The prime rib sandwich was burnt and had little flavor. This is the worst service and food I have had there in a long time. :( read more
