Where to start? Showed up and waiting 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. Another 15 to be seated, but that's fine as they were somewhat busy. Eventually we were seated. 10 minutes to have our order taken. Daughter ordered chocolate chip banana pancakes without the bananas and eggs over medium. I ordered Eggs Benedict and a side of biscuits and gravy. From our table I could see finished food being queued up from the kitchen. Watched as our order was placed at the window and ignored. It sat there for at least 10 minutes but our server walked past it numerous times without so much as glancing at any of the orders just sitting there. Finally our server wandered closed enough we could inquire about our food. He said he'd go check. Food arrived with bananas on my daughters pancakes and her eggs were so underdone the whites inside were still liquid. My main meal was...passable, but the biscuits were so hard as to be completely inedible. Couldn't break apart at all. When our server asked how our food was I informed him of the biscuits. He told me their biscuits were hard and not very good. Didn't remove it from the bill Finally, as we paid to leave the cashier asked how our food was. I said, "eh, not very good" to which she said, "well, sorry about that. The total is..." Will not be returning. read more

Horrible service! They took forever, the server saw us multiple times and ignored us for almost an hour. She didn't want to help us at all. They took so long to bring the food out. Didn't offer refills. Overall experience horrible. Don't come to this Denny's unless you want to wait for 2 plus hours. I would give it a zero stars if I could. read more

Can't review the food - one hour after placing our order we left without eating. I suppose it is a place to go if you are looking for LONG conversation waiting for food. It was COLD so cold that I had to take trips outside to warm up while waiting. Bring a jacket if you want to be able to have that long conversation with table mates as you wait. What was most noticeable to me was the lack of cleanliness-- in particular the floors were filthy- (this was morning not after the end of a long day) - sticky under the tables and in the walkways dark splatters where what was spilled ?? days before had been tracked on so much that the splatters were black. The base of the entrance door was a river of black as if dirty mop water had been left there to dry. UGH! read more

I can't tell you how the food is because we have been here for an hour now waiting and STILL don't have our food. I was excited to have a new restaurant in town and gave them a couple of months to work out the hiccups. Unfortunately, doesn't look like they have it figured out. Super disappointed! read more

Overall this was a great experience. My wife and I went here for breakfast on our two year anniversary. All of the food and drinks were delicious and the wait staff and cooks were very fast. We came at around 10:30 so the restaurant was fairly empty, which might have helped. The inside of the store was very clean and tidy for that great diner experience. The only reason I'm them 4 stars instead of 5 is cause the dish some of our food came in was a little dirty. However, overall, it was awesome! read more

My wife and I just came back from here and for it being the first week of it's opening, it's what you'd expect....crowded. Understandingly so as Rexburg doesn't get too much attraction unless it's fast food joints. The food we ordered was pretty good. We got the zesty nachos, with my only complaint being they needed to have a little more salt on the chips. I got the spicy sizzling' skillet w/ sunny side up eggs, while my wife got the Alaskan salmon with rice and corn. The eggs were probably a minute away from being done (though raw eggs have never hurt me before so I didn't mind). My wife really enjoyed her dish as well. On to the service; though I expected there to be inexperienced waiters and waitresses running around like headless chickens, most of them looked very well prepared and professional....and there is our waitress. It seemed her priority was another table that seemed to give her more attention. She also forgot straws (which I typically deem as excusable, this is just everything that went wrong), made a comment about how one of the things was pretty expensive (extremely inappropriate), scoffing at my wife when she asked about something to make sure she got what she ordered, and finally she would start a sentence then laugh and never finish it like she was trying to tell a joke and we were just supposed to get it. All in all, loved Denny's, just not the waitress. read more

When we entered the restaurant there was an overflowing garbage can near the door and trash in the curb near it. The restaurant was freezing cold and when we were seated in a booth the floor underneath was covered in some sticky liquid. We ordered 2 country fried steaks from the 55+ menu. They came back to say they were out of the steak patties and I opted for the salmon instead. My partner decided to order a sandwich and season fries that were ok. Then the server came back to say they were out of the mac and cheese I had ordered on the side. I then opted for the roasted veggies. They were ok. When I got the salmon I started eating from the thin end and seemed ok but then when I got toward the middle you could see it was raw. When we complained to the manager he told us he would remove the dinner from our ticket. They had offered as well to give a 10% discount when they were out of the steak. This is so sad because it's a brand new building and we had high hopes for it. I hope you can get some decent cooks in there soon and a manager who knows how to keep stock on hand. I would hate to see it get shut down but word has spread around Rexburg, ID and I don't see how they can keep it open. read more

We went here with my daughter. As a going away dinner for her birth mother... waited to be seated for over 10 minuets .... while watching one of the workers talk on his cell phone . As he glanced at us off and on ,all While Ifood piled up under the heatlamp window.. finally another worker came in through the side door ... asked if we had been helped .... ? Nope ignored, we finally got menus lead to a booth... that was filthy, settled for a table. And asked for drink order.. it was (2 waters one with no ice&lemon on the side, a dr.pepper and iced tea 4 total) received 2 ice tea's that had a milky look 1 water with ice ... no dr.pepper , wich he fixed . We ordered the sampler platter to start and when it arrived 20 minutes latter the mozzarella sticks onion rings & chicken bites were all pretty dark looking . But , tasted ok , we ended up ordering the French toast grand slam, a chicken. Fried chicken with salad and season fries, a chicken fried stk. With mashed potatoes and salad, chicken fingers with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. turned out the only thing edible was the salads wich were pretty good ) The eggs on the grand slam were over easy but still had the clear, slimmy, film on top of the yolk . The bacon was rancid tasting (didn't think you could mess up bacon ... ? The chicken fingers and chicken fried chicken were beyond dark and so dry the dog couldn't chew them when we got home. The chicken fried stk tasted mushy like they mixed wet dog food with flour . Breaded it and dropped it in the fryer. To burn The mashed potatoes and mac &cheese were ice cold . The white gravey on top of chicken friedchick and chick fry stk was so wattery it didnt stick on top. .. i bet they haven't changed the oil since they opened 2 months ago... and I don't think they have mopped the floor in the dinning room either. We watched as they cleared and wiped off tables by brushing old food and crumbs on the floor . And for the $80+ dollar bill it cost for the 4 of us .. we could have had brisket from the smoke wagon or stks from the hickory ! Long story short. My husbands meal never came. My daughter and I were able to eat and the food was decent, but other Dennys has better food quality. When the food was delivered, we notified our waiter that my husbands meal was missing. He went to find it and never came back with it. After we finished eating we had to go to a fast food restaurant so my husband could eat. Definitely a lack of training. Dennys better do something to turn their service around or they won't make it until winter. read more

Well I'm sitting here in Dennys right now not very impressed with the service. This is not a way to keep a buisness. I'm pissed because 3 servers passed by our table not offered to bring us drinks or even bother to acknowledge us. We were completely ignored just shoved off into a corner. Now I see why the idaho falls Dennys went out of business. I guess it must Dennys way of training people ignore the customer and don't take thier order. The first time we tried to come there was an hour wait then we tried to order online just shortly after it opened the app wasn't working couldn't do that either. This is the 3rd time I've tried to eat at Dennys. Nope not no more I'm done if you can't hire competent people to run your buisness then your gonna fail. People that were seated after us got seated and had thier order taken before ours what the ever loving hell??!! seems like you get your food faster if you are a door dash driver maybe I should have them go it and deliver inside the restaurant that way I'd be assured I'd get my damn food! So at this point I'm done forever strike three your out at the old ball game. I will bad mouth you because I think it's crap that you have employees that don't give a crap! We waited 15 - 20 before we got seated another 20 - 25 after it wasn't even busy so lack of servers is a very piss poor excuse no wonder you've gotten a 2 star rating so far. We abruptly left and told the scrony little douche bag being the hostess a piece of our mind. Not one single employee bothered to come chase after us and say sorry or even apologize as we left. So that shows me no one there cared another couple we knew that was seated was sitting there atleast an hour not waited on either. Get your act togther or I guarantee you'll be out of business in 3 months the rate your going. Word of mouth will get around nothing ruins a buisness more then negative press. We are now at the hickory with no wait time we've gotten seated our drinks and our appetizers all with in 15 minutes. This is how it should be. Take this as an example of what to do. read more
