I walked into the restaurant and had an employee say it would be a 10 minute wait for a table. There were many tables open. I just decided to leave because I am not waiting 10 minutes for Dennys. I haven't come here for a while, but I won't be returning to this establishment again in the future. read more

After waiting to be seated, I waited about 10 minutes for a server to take my order, although there were only 4 other tables with customers. Approx 10 minutes later my drink arrived. I am guessing that it took almost half an hour for the worst meal ever to be served. The salad I paid extra arrived at the same time. The salad was very good. The meal was the worst I have ever had at any Denny's ever! The Southern steak was greasy under the coating, the gravy was basically salt, the cold instant potatoes were gross and you could not even bite into the hard stale toast. The macaroni side had a scum on it. No one came to check on me and when I paid I expressed my concern to the server who discounted the meal. I would not recommend anyone ever eat there. read more

Absolutely disgusting. Filthy beyond anything I have seen in a 'restaurant'. We stayed at the Sandman in Revelstoke (mistake), and wanted a 1/2 decent meal after travelling all day. We had our baby with us, and I got a sticky goop from lifting a visibly filthy high chair to our table. I then went to the washroom to clean off my hands, and the pungent stench of urine was enough to send the four of us running to the exit. I wouldn't trust a glass of water at this dump, little own a meal. Stay away at all costs. This place should be condemned immediately! read more

I would have to start by stating this restaurant needs to be inspected by health authorities.. it was filthy everywhere trash on floors in every corner.. Service was equal to the filth the restaurant represented, slow, no attention paid to the meal been served Food was mediocre at best truly the 1st bad experience I've had in a Denny's we chose this on our travels as it's always a safe, consistent place to eat Not here I'd advise finding another place to eat even if it means traveling further Simply Disgusted!! read more

I feel like I should do two seperate reviews for my two wildly different experiences at this hotel-attached Denny's. Staying overnight (@ the Stoke!) on our way home and stopped in after dinner for dessert with my family and couldn't have been happier. Pleasant service with a smile and a couple of great banana splits. Fast forward less then 8 hours and I come back to kill some time until my family wakes up, I'm greeted by the friendly cook who is alone a few hours and sit down with a coffee; but when the waitress shows up she completely ignored me. Not one to complain and in no rush I wait for her to have time for me and watch her serve two more tables after I spill coffee on mine. When she does finally come over she looks at the table full of coffee and asks if I want a refill. When prompted she wiped up but didn't bring me any napkins. Even after all this I decide to brush off the whole thing as I look younger then I am (31) and I'm used to some attitude. Not 5 minutes later she is back at the table next to me complaining about two Japanese women who had the audacity to think breakfast was included with their stay at the hotel; went on to complain that "they" always order out for Chinese instead of coming here. Hard to imagine why. First and hopefully only review. Do not anticipate a coffee refill offer.... read more

It was horrible! I went with my family to go out for dinner as they were stopping in from out of town.. seated us about 20 minutes after we stepped in the door and after 1.5 hours they finally asked us what we wanted for drinks (they weren't that busy either). about an hour after they asked us for drinks, we ordered food. out of seven people they got four wrong and never asked us for refills and all of the food was cold... all of the tables were stacked of dirty dishes, the servers were talking in the back and there was a long line of people waiting to be seated and when they finally cleaned the tables, she dropped food/cutlery all over the floor and didn't care to clean it up. went to use the bathroom and it was absolutely horrid! there was toilet paper everywhere and it looked like nobody cleaned it in ten years! after when we went to complain about our experiences, they half heartedly apologized and made us pay fully. Just another average Denny's. My kids thought the restaurant was a treat as I don't believe we have ever eaten at a Denny's as a family. I would say that this location fills the gap as their are lack of options in this area on a long drive that has sit down options suitable for families on a road trip. read more

Dennys is like a guilty pleasure of mine - I hate to admit how much I actually love this place. I love the coffee, I love breakfast all day, I love the prices. Unfortunately, the service here forces me to give a low score. We walked in and stood inside the restaurant amidst bustle. Waiters rushed by with good but none stopped to notice. Finally, after a few minutes, one of them called 'be there in a second' on the way past. We sat, we ordered. "They told you about the wait?" the waitress asked. Wait? I mean, we had been staring at menus for a pretty long time, but I thought they were just giving us time to think. Lots of time to think... "It will be at least 40 minutes before you get food tonight. They should have told you on the way in." 40 minutes? Wow. "Also, there's no salad. Or fish. Or some of the meats." Well, I'm just thankful they still had breakfast. And I wasn't in a rush. Here is to hoping this was just a rough night and not an everyday occurrence... read more

I stayed at the Sandman and the Denny's is in the same building. Mighty convenient. Open 24 hours a day. Stopped here for a late lunch. Waiter was super attentive and friendly. Coffee was gross and breakfast was alright. Ordered a burger for dinner later that night. The patty was dry and overdone. The seasoned fries were very crispy and delicious. We camped in Revelstoke and before leaving we stopped at this Denny's. They were very considerate of Covid guidelines. Our server was a man and he was considerate and attentive. I have 5 kids so he made sure to take extra care of everyone by offering extra napkins, taking our food and drink orders quickly. When the food came it was well presented, the coffee was good quality and the Salsa Sensation was delicious with a sprinkle of fresh cilantro. We have been to many Denny's restaurants but this one had the nicest quality. Denny's is not known for good coffee but this Denny's served a decent cup. read more

We went to dinner at this establishment and were extremely disappointed. I noticed that all the floor areas were extremely messy and dirty, I should have walked out then... But we stayed and when we were finally noticed by what looked the manager, he said we would have to wait till the table was cleaned, although there were plenty of tables free. This took around 5 minutes. We were shown to our table and our server came over, she looked extremely disinterested and that was like that all the way through. She only perked up when it came to paying, hoping for a tip, but she got disappointed I guess, I am not paying for service when it isn't at least with a little smile. No water was offered at all throughout and we finally had to ask for some. The food wasn't great either and the milkshakes came without the usual refill metal shaker to which we were told that the glasses are bigger. That certainly didn't look true. When leaving no one said good-bye or even acknowledged us leaving although the manager looked at us. All in all a terrible experience and would not go there again. We will go back to our local Denny's in Edmonton as we get super service with a smile and great food there. read more

So. Today i went to Denny's to get some sausage and hash browns. BUT my waitress wouldn't let me sub my sausage OR hash browns for my eggs. NOW i'm stuck with eggs and i'm deathly allergic. The portions were stingy. The kids ordered from the adult menu and were still hungry so we went to McDonald's after we left hungry. Overpriced as well due to small portions. I ordered a take out for myself since I was outside with the dogs. When it was ready. It was cold! I turned around and got it heated but it was ok. But not good. Never again. Been to this location a couple times before. Absolutely went downhill. Ordered chicken Mediterranean dinner, the garnish on top the chicken was tomatoes & feta cheese. Well the feta cheese was definitely outdated and spoiled. I thought I was being crazy as feta cheese has a pretty intense smell/taste to it as is so I ignored it and asked my boyfriend to try the cheese after I ate nearly most of the chicken (while avoiding the cheese) and he literally almost puked. So I thought to myself "I'm going to feel nauseated later" so I immediately went to the bathroom and made myself throw up all the food. The waitress (I'm sorry, this must be embarrassing) was kind and offered a discount and I told her I legitimately made myself throw up, so it's like I literally ate nothing... and she agreed and didn't charge. I'd rate 1, but because of the accommodating waitress I'll give it 2. By the way, the washrooms were absolutely disgusting... This location needs a major upgrade. Well let's see where do I start. We stayed in the sandman hotel that's attached to the Denny's so naturally we went a few times. Dinner was alright but it took 30 minutes to serve us a drink. Second and third times were breakfast at 6:30am. There were lots of people in there already as it's ski season. The service was prompt but not overly cheerful. The coffee is HORRIBLE omg they might as well have served muddy sludge it would have tasted better. Now the food! Well how does anyplace screw up on eggs and bacon! Well they didn't but I had the fit slam and the fit omelette which are the healthier choices for breakfast. 2 days in a row I have had an upset stomach all day with gas and I am sorry but it's the only thing I duplicated from the day before so yes it's what made me sick. This restaurant also has windows so you can watch the people in the hotel swim! Although the young man that served us the second morning was pleasant. I may think of returning but it will have to be fat food all the way!! read more

We stopped at this location on our way back home from a vacation in BC and were terribly disappointed. Denny's is nothing fancy at any location but it is generally consistent both in quality and service but this location is well-below in both. We were seated after a short wait since it was just after lunch and then waited for more than 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged our presence. My husband had to waive down a server from another table to ask if our server could be sent over. A few minutes later, the hostess arrived at our table and said "What can I get for you?" She didn't say "hi" or "sorry for the wait" or anything else. She took our order and about 20 minutes later my children's dishes arrived looking like they had been sitting under the heat lamps for some time and the kids didn't even want to eat the food. Another 10-15 minutes passed before we asked when our dishes might arrive (of course, this was someone else's server as we apparently did not have one) and were told "she is bringing them now". It was almost another 10 minutes before our dishes came (our young children were now way beyond impatient) and we ate a little and asked for our bill - the caesar salad was made with iceberg lettuce that had been in the dressing so long it was slimy. Not only was the food service poor, but waitresses with coffee refills circled our area of the restaurant at least four times - stopping at the table next to us each time and never once stopping by ours. To make things even worse, a couple was seated at the table next to us shortly before we left and were also left unattended for some time but the same hostess who "served" us came over to their table and loudly apologized for making them wait. They received their order within 10 minutes of placing it and were eating at the same time we were even though we had been there for over an hour. There aren't a lot of options in Revelstoke along the highway so we will now plan our stops to ensure we can drive straight through this town. I can say without any hesitation that this is the worst all around service I have ever received in a restaurant - fast food, diner or otherwise. read more

Been snowmobiling in Revy for years and often ate breakfast at Denny's. Tonight a group of us 6 decided to go there for supper since it was close to our hotel. To start out, since we sat in the bar side, they would not let us order from the restaurant menu. Went ahead and ordered pork ribs from the bar menu. The ribs were slubby and greasy. I am not a picky eater by no means, but I just couldn't them. I sent them back and order a chicken burger. The burger too was terrible. Both myself and another customer found it tasted really strange. The bun was so stale you could smell and taste it. The manager would not allow the waitress to take it off the bill. On the way out, the waitress then asked me where I was from. When I told her I was from Alberta, she said "oh, I thought you might be Italian because they are really picky with their food"!! What an inappropriate thing to say to anyone. Honestly, all of the group thought the food was unsatisfactory. Denny's, maybe you should stick with breakfast. Your have not trained your cooks sufficiently in preparing a simple entree. read more
