This place gets a 1 star only because there isn't an option for negative stars. Waited 10 min to be seated and was never even greeted. The hostess was more interested in walking in the back after making eye contact with us standing at the hostess stand. The food is fine (although it isn't as good as the menu makes it look, but you should already know that). Staff is friendly. My issue with this place is that it is not a quick stop by any means. You have to allow at least an hour... even if they don't appear to be busy, everything still takes a while. Waiting to be seated. Waiting to place your drink order. Waiting for your drinks. Waiting to place your food order. Waiting to get your food. There is just a lot of waiting, so don't go here and be in a hurry or it's going to put you in a bad mood. read more

The greater Columbus area is not really graced with the presence of Dennys, but if I had a choice between the one in Delaware and this one by Pataskala, this one would win. The service was ok, not great. The food was fast, cheap and tasty. read more

We live close by so it would be nice if this place could be in our regular rotation. Unfortunately we're let down every single visit. To call the service terrible would be an understatement. Day or night they are under staffed it just seems to be poorly managed. If you go there for breakfast I recommend ordering things that are made to order such as an omelet. it's best to avoid things that can be sitting premade (scrambled eggs for instance). The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the waitress completely agreed with me! I'm in the long haul trucking business and me and my co driver wanted to watch the NBA finals tonight. We went into enjoy a meal and watch the game. However, with 7 or 8 TVs not One has the game. The waitress said that she would change the channel if she could but the Head of the DISTRICT took ALL the remotes...like a child taking his ball home!! TALK ABOUT DISAPPOINTED. How does this help out the CUSTOMER??? This is a large and relatively clean Denny's, but the service was less than stellar. It took more than 30 minutes to get our food, and then we didn't even get it all. Our server made no apologies, and was in no hurry ever. After waiting to pay for 10+ minutes, we had to go ask someone to let us pay (all three servers walked by numerous times and completely avoided eye contact). Not sure of understaffed or poorly managed but it took almost 2 hours to be seated and eat. We were put on a wait list for 20 minutes. When we were finally seated about half of the tables were empty so I am very unclear why there was such a long wait. The food took another 45 minutes ro come out and when it did, the eggs and pancakes were cold. We certainly won't be back. read more

Don't go to this Denny's if you actually want to eat food. Tons of staff and no section looked overly full. Yet we sat for 15 minutes, desperately trying to catch the eye of our server (anyone, actually). Everyone was cleaning tables or the floor but no one seemed to want to take our order. I even tried to flag someone down. It's like everyone received "eye avoidance" training before they started work. We finally got up and left. I told the hostess that we were leaving because we weren't even simply acknowledged, despite sitting there for 15 minutes. She gave me a blank stare and said "uh, sorry." I told her I just wanted her to know why we were leaving, so she could free up the table. They obviously don't care but I wanted them to know, regardless. We travel this route quite a bit. I have 2 stars because with the horrible hosting staff, it is pure entertainment to watch these lazy kids try to multi task. Countless times over, the servers step up and take over seating people because Kevin and Mya can't seem to seat people or ring people out. They wander aimlessly around the restaurant and don't even acknowledge anyone at the front and they never smile. They are a nightmare. But, our servers Jenni and Susan are always so amazing and make up for everything and keep us coming here. The food is good but you have got to get someone responsible up front because we almost went somewhere else this morning. read more

We were hungry, been on the road for 7 hours and have had no problem with Denny's in the past. Wasn't very busy, about 5 tables were seated when we got there. We ordered off the 55+ menu, he ordered a breakfast slam. I got the chicken fry with mashed potatoes and squash. 20 minutes later, after a group that came in after us had been served their food, I asked the waitress where ours was. She came back a few minutes later with his breakfast plate and explained that there are 2 cooks, one for breakfast and one for dinner and breakfast orders are made faster. In a couple of minutes she brought mine. Now you could tell by looking that his scrambled eggs had been sitting under a warmer, and he said they were chewy with a crusty top. Very disappointed in that meal! I used to cook in a restaurant and I know what's involved in getting the food out, nice and fresh. read more

Last Saturday 03/24/2018 I took my Grandson and his friend there for Breakfast. After standing at the counter waiting to be seated for over 15 mins, I was approached by a server (there were 7 servers on the floor and 3 with trainees.) The place was mostly empty. Maybe 10 tables with people. The line was forming behind me. A gentleman stood at the counter to pay his bill as long as we stood there waiting to be seated. FINALLY a waitress came up and said 15 min wait to be seated !!!! WHY??? That's what the Manager said !!! I asked if we could be seated and get drinks we were really not in a hurry. NO!!! I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was busy in the kitchen. Totally Inexcusable!!! Won't ever go back. This review post for Calif. We went there this evening about 530pm. Very few people were inside and we were the only ones waiting to be seated. We were told that someone would be right over to seat us. During our 4-5 minutes wait there was a woman counting money in the register all while we were waiting. At least 3 different people looked at us from the floor but no one came to seat us. When we decided to go elsewhere the woman counting the register said something like we were the first ones to walk out. When I turned and asked her what she said she said she was sorry but she couldn't seat us because she was counting her drawer. There are too many places to eat to be treated this way. We have had delays being seated at this location before. Will be a while before going back if at all. I'm sure though they don't care. read more

Was looking forward to a certain sandwich from Denny's. Drove 30 miles to walk in & leave disappointed. Waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged--host was beside himself--dirty tables everywhere, full lobby. Was so understaffed, especially on a Sunday at noon!! Atmosphere & attitudes were "poopy" therefore, we knew it was not going to be enjoyable so went on down the road & had a great meal. Too bad! Where is corporate management here?? On site manager was nowhere to be seen!!?? And, the trash on the patio approaching the front door almost sent us back to the car before we walked in! Place was dirty, but my wife worked third shift as a server at iHop so she knows it must have been from second shift cause we came in about 11:30 and servers were leaving. The guy server we had (Justin?) was great. He introduced himself and made us feel like we were at home. The food was good. The eggs had to be recooked because they came too scrambled. But that didn't stop me from leaving him $15 because he took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. We stayed for about an hour and he had the place cleaned back up in no time. Last time we were here, we had a friend with us and we had i think her name was Ashley, and she was terrible. It was like ten minutes until 11 and she pushed off taking our order until the third shift lady came in. It was rude. Tipped the lady a good amount, too.
