Our server was great. Beyond that I don't have much else to say about my experience today. The evening bartender invited her two daughters or daughter and a friend to come in. Not only were they dancing like a stripper around the table but the bartender went to the table and was on her cell phone, eating off of their food. Meanwhile the manager on duty was sitting at a table on the west side of the table eating and having hang out hour with the employees. The evening g bartender was chomping on gum ridiculously. Servers were going to the corner where the manager was and eating food, walking throughout the restaurant eating it and drinking drinks. The manager at one point early on came out of the kitchen loudly asking why so many brooms were at the host stand. I don't need to hear that while I'm trying to eat. One host hung out at the table where the bartenders kids were and had one of them sweeping the floor for her. About 15 minutes before leaving the restaurant the manager went outside with his cell in his hand. When we left the manager was still on his phone outside. How can you know what's going on in the restaurant if you're outside? All I can say is the manager should be ashamed of how he runs his shift, I was embarrassed for him. read more

My friend and I were headed home from Sonora. We turned off Hwy. 99 onto Kettleman Lane in Lodi. We stopped at Denny's for breakfast. I should of realized something was amiss when the menu was only 1 page long. The menu consisted of breakfast, lunch and dinner. They had only 3 omelettes on the entire menu. My friend ordered t bone steak and eggs and she wanted her T bone cooked rare. The steak and do that been cooked medium and the steak was pretty tough. I ordered chicken fried steak and eggs. The steak was cooked good the eggs were then to my request which was medium but the hash Browns tasted like they were cooked in charcoal lighter, as If they hadn't cleaned their grill in a long time. There was no salt and pepper on the table. The waitress we had was very good although she was quiet and a little slow. She did get my friend a bag of ice for her knee which were swollen and she gave us a bag of ice to take with us. I do not recommend this restaurant to anybody. This is my go to restaurant when I am in Lodi. It is within walking distance from the Holiday Inn Express and the Hampton Inn. Although it is a hot one today 106, maybe I should have drove. The staff is very friendly and the food is always hot and fresh. I have never had a bad meal here and over the past several years I have had many. Give them a try. Denny's is Denny's but some are better. I like the service here. The food is always good This isn't gourmet food but its fast and convenient. I like this location more than the Pacific Ave in Stockton location because they aren't understaffed. It's a nice, dependable restaurant with simple food but served hot and right on time. read more

We walked in and were not greeted. We then waited forever to get seated when there were no other customers. Our waitress was Ruby and only checked on us once in passing. Waited forever for the check while the workers were just in the back gossiping. Hostesses were very rude. The workers were playing really loud music it was hard to talk in there. Let me start of by saying and emphasizing, the servers here - obviously on my particular visit - worked incredibly hard and fast. They even maintained a positive & engaging demeanor the whole time as waves and waves of hangry young and old people stanpeaded through the doors and waited in the small waiting area. I ordered the "Build Your Own" breakfast option: wheat pancakes, 2 eggs over easy, hash browns, & A chicken sausage. Perfect. Cooks did a great job. The service from Teresa was great. Could not be better. Fast, smiled, checked on me - thank you. The only bad thing about this Dennys were the customers. Yes! Time and time again people made rude comments and stares toward the servers. I even saw 2 seniors race inside, pass up another senior gentleman, didn't wait to be seated and just took a seat without waiting in line. Everyone was in shock! I wish I can give this place a ZERO star. The manager tonight has no customer service and should not be managing because she can't even get delivery orders correct. I have ordered Dennys many times with delivery off their website and they keep telling me to call doordash. The previous managers we great with customer service and always got my order to my doorstep even when was their mistake. This manager, basically hung up on me and when I called back to find out when I will get a refund, I was talked to with absolute attitude. I will never order anything from this Denny's again. I like this location because the coffee is strong and good and the servers are attentive. My favorite plate now is the skillet with the chicken, broccoli and cheese. It's tasty and has pretty good flavor. The burgers are pretty good too. I enjoy the cheddar with avocado one. The Gouda with bacon burger was too messy! Also, the beef patty lacked flavor tonight and the drippy mess of the bacon, gouda and the garnish didn't help. Their buns fall apart. A potato bun is too soft! My husband liked the bourbon sauced steak skewer. It comes with two sides and soup or salad. BIG salad for a side! The place was busy but they still remembered to ask if we needed refills. I had dinner in this location a few weeks ago and the cook Jenna and my server Gietto (not sure I got the spelling right) provided excellent service to me! The food was delicious and they both thought to ask for any extras I may want. The restaurant was clean and the music soothing and they took the time to be kind to me as I was dining alone.
