I rarely review restaurants like Denny's but feel the need to today. I noticed the fairly low rating before coming here so my expectations were not high. My expectations were well exceeded. Not because the food was amazing, no offense, it's Denny's but it was good. What stood out was the service and welcoming staff. I felt like I mattered. I felt like a friend in a town full of strangers. My server's name was Tanya and she was great-very attentive and was hustling the whole time. She had this gentle friendly demeanor that just makes you smile. I literally wanted to stand up and hug her! lol To the management: great job managing your staff. You are doing something right. Good people are hard to find these days and you seem to have retained a good crew. All the staff were smiling, joking with each other and looking like they loved their jobs. That's refreshing. 1st part of review is for Denny's in general with bait and switch. Their new Ad Push is $2,4,6,8. I thought they were going back to the OG value menu, but it was $2.99 And UP, $4.99 AND UP.. Etc... So long story short the value meal is complete bollocks..... That being said I ordered a burger and crinkly fries. My wife, after getting a feel for the run down atmosphere declined any food. My burger came out promptly and my server was nice and attentive. The burger looked Nothing like the menu picture, the fries were burned, probably half of what is advertised, and the hamburger bun was soaked because of the amount of grease the hamburger patty was oozing with. Needless to say Denny's Advertising got me to come in, and the bait and switch, and quality of food will now keep me away. read more

During a road trip to California we decided to stop by at Denny's. As we arrive it takes quite sometime to get a table at an almost empty establishment. Our waitress finally seats us, she's neither friendly nor mean. She simply is. My family of 3 and I order and with us we have a super active toddler. He's jumping, screaming, laughing, you know things toddlers do. I can feel glares from another waitress. From glares into disgusting rude clear stares from the same waitress. I start to feel flustered with the waitress but I stay quiet to avoid any complications with our food. Flash forward 45 minutes, we still do not have our food in this almost empty restaurant with 3 cooks. I do, however see everyone of the staff chatting it up. I peak my head up to see if I should get up to ask about our meal and then it arrives with the exception of my sisters meal. Her meal takes another 15 minutes to arrive. When it does arrive her meal is heavily salted. During this time the glaring waitress looks at us and smirks and continues her stares. By this time I was mortified that my family and I were made to feel uncomfortable. I let our waitress know about our heavily salted meal and the glaring waitress. Honestly she did not care. The glaring waitress continues to smirk as I let our waiter know. I hate to think this was a race issue seeing that we were the only Latinos in the establishment. My crepe was soggy, there was something slimy in my drink, other than that our meals were mediocre. Please do not visit this pathetically staffed restaurant. Especially if the stares might of been due to an active child or race. I have attached the glaring waitress''s picture below. She has a blond bun. We stopped at this Denny's on the way back to St Louis after a trip to Branson for Thanksgiving. The man that greeted, and seated us, was very nice. The real star of the show was our server, Kaylee. She was so friendly and cheerful and seemed to enjoy her job, which is something we don't see often enough, anymore. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. My husband ordered a Grand Slam, I had an omelette, and everything came out great! My expectations were low going in, but my mind was changed very quickly, and I'm so glad we stopped in. We will stop there, again, the next time we pass through Lebanon, MO! read more

This was definitely the best experience I've had at Denny's in awhile. The waitress was friendly and attentive to our needs. The real star here though was the food. The food here is awful! Burnt bacon, pancakes are so unevenly proportioned that the small pancake went unnoticed under the other pancake. Mother in law made a sour face after drinking the coffee... she sent it back. My eggs... I can't describe what was going on with them. Sat under the lamp forever??? Idk, they had a rubber, not a real egg texture with so much cheese on them that it was hard to tell what it was. Cheesy eggs or eggy cheese. The staff is understaffed, but the staff that is there is under qualified... yes, it's hard to believe that running a hostess position takes some sort of organizational skill. This place is a mess. It's becoming the new norm though, COVID has been the new reason to give crap service and serve food I wouldn't give a hobo. HAVE BETTER STANDARDS!!! So what did I get? 10 chips and a lot of meat and cheese you couldn't eat unless you wanted to eat it with a spoon! We had a terrible experience. Ordered through the app and requested it be ready by 10:30. We had to wait another 23 minutes to get our food. After we left we realized that they forgot the ham that we'd paid extra for and instead got pancakes that we didn't order! And before that they tried to give us someone else's order who had ordered at the same time we did. Our order came up and sat on the warmer for over 10 minutes and it was cold when we finally got it.
