We had excellent service despite it being short staffed. The cook did a great job and our server was exceptional (Josie), unfortunately the GM who was there at the time, needs to be upgraded. The lady at the front desk told us the machine was broken after she drank all the milkshakes and told us it was broken.

I understand being a little short staffed. But being handed dirty silverware after finding hair in our baby food is ridiculous. Then having the hostest get a huge attitude threaten me with the police in front of my children was just down right abnoxious... she was the girl with the dreadlocks. After her shift supervisor tried to calm her down the hottest wouldn't stop. If some has the number got general or district manager please let me know. Short staffed. Takes time to seat you while employees ignore you and don't make eye contact

I was thoroughly disappointed with this place. The server was an absolute joke and the manager was just as bad if not worse. There were three of us, including myself at the table. We asked for silverware multiple times and finally got some after our food sat on our table for a few minutes. The food was cold by the time we got to eat which tells me it sat in the kitchen for some time before it was brought to us. We ordered coffee and had only one cup each even after asking for a refill. Our server disappeared about halfway through our meal and we had to go find her to get our check. What solidified my disgust and guaranteed I will not be returning to this establishment and possibly the whole chain was the managers inaction. We presented him with the problems we experienced as he checked us out at the register. He apologized and then let us know if we come back in 7 days and bring in today's receipt, we will receive 20% off the next check. It was written on the printed receipt. I got a little suspicious and waited for others to check out. I found that they would receive 20% discounts as well if they came back within 7 days. The manager did nothing for us. I doubt the apology was sincere. The food was cold, the service was bad, and the manager needs to find another line of business. The entire experience was sad. read more

My first visit to this location but my companion had visited before. I've been sick so we chose the online order / pickup option for breakfast on the patio back at my place. When we arrived the young lady at the register was conversing with another customer but asked if we needed a table for two. After establishing we were there for pickup, she asked a man eating at the counter if our order was ready. He said yes and motioned to a bag farther down the counter. We then waited 10 minutes for her to finish with the customer. During this time the man from the counter finished his meal, got up and went outside, pulling out cigarettes. When our order was brought up my companion reminded her about our drinks. She went off to get them only to return and tell me they were out of raspberry tea. I told her plain unsweetened was fine and off she went. Returning with my tea she told my companion that they were out of the smoothie she ordered. My companion opted for another and off the young lady went.As we were leaving, the man from the counter returned from his smoke break. Needless to say, after sitting on the counter in excess of 20 minutes, our food was cold. My friends cheese coagulated, solid and outright inedible. Seriously, she did not eat it. My egg whites cold and both of our potato dishes cold and limp. We also did not recieve the toast for my egg white scramble or side of turkey bacon we added. I usually give restaurants a second chance but for heaven's sake, its Dennys, scripted food. Add on incredibly BAD service and incomplete order..... no second chances here. No reason to either. Los Mariachis and Los Compas serve great breakfasts, get the orders right and know how to serve their customers. read more

We tried to eat at Dennys once on a Sunday at lunchtime, but it was packed, with people hanging out of the front door, so we left and came back a few weeks later, on a Friday at 11am. The Dennys was still quite busy, but it was possible to get a table right away. The restaurant is pleasant and clean and well-lit on the inside, but things went downhill despite the nice appearance of the restaurant. The waiter brought us our drinks, but took a long time before he came back and took our orders. Once he did so, it took the kitchen 40 minutes to turn out two salads, and at one point, the waiter came back and told my husband that they were out of romaine for his chicken caesar salad. Hello? There's a Wal-Mart a five minute drive away; send your store manager to go buy some Romaine. I'm not sure what it is about Dennys restaurants and slowness in food emerging from the kitchen. Do they train their cooks to move slowly or something? At one point the waiter checked in to see how we were doing (close to the 40 minute mark) and seemed hurt when I pointed out that we didn't have any food yet. Sir, if you are going to be a Dennys waiter, you have to nut up about that comment. When the salads arrived, my Cobb salad with steak was fine. It was an appropriate size, with fresh ingredients and it tasted good. But my husband's salad was a meager portion of chicken over a sprinkling of iceberg lettuce. If you are going to be out of romaine, don't skimp on the salad fixings for the replacement salad. Lettuce is not expensive. read more

My family and I went to the Denny's for dinner. We ordered to begin with our drinks and mozzarella sticks. That was delivered to our table. When it came time for our food to come to the table, all that came and was right was my son's burger. We waited till our son had finished his burger and still no food. When asked by our server that something needed to be done to fix this, she said the manager, (a little boy) told her to give up a 15% off the entire order. I told her I would like to speak to him. I told him I was not paying for food I didn't receive. He acted like he fixed it, not realizing at the time, I paid what he told me I owed. We dropped our son off at home and we headed to IHOP (I reviewed them too). When I got home and was going to enter the charge in my checkbook, I took a close look at the receipt... We took our frien to Denny's today mainly because it was convenient and it was for breakfast. Our friend had scrambled eggs with sausage and hash browns which she enjoyed. My wife and I had omelets, one veggie and one with meat. There was nothing bad or nothing great about our breakfasts. Ice tea was not as good as what is usually served elsewhere. Not impressed Took my parents here for breakfast before they headed home. ( Since they were here to visit) Terrible service. My mother is in a wheelchair and my dad has a cane. The waitress decided to put my mom on the end of a table right in the walkway. Basically this meant she felt in the way all the time. The food was terrible and took forever to show up. The food was cold and not worth the money. The orders that arrived cold were wrong and I sent many things back. I was very disappointed having to return food due to allergies after asking about the allergy item and being told it was not on the food. The waitress was terrible at her job and didn't refill drinks or offer anything. She acted like my parents were burdens due to disabilities. If you're going to judge people then work somewhere else. Let me start by saying we have been eating at this Denny's since it was first built. We stopped by for dinner on a Friday night and was surprised there were hardly any other cars in the parking lot. We were seated promptly but that is where everything went downhill from there. Our waitress did not even let us open our menus before she wanted (demanded) to know what we wanted....which is hard to do without seeing the menu. We ordered and waited over 45 minutes to get my soup appetizer...then immediately here comes the food. It was luke warm at best and way to salty to eat.....NO one even offered an apology for everything taking so long or asked if the food was ok. While we were waiting I saw our waitress and the hostess laughing and fooling around behind the counter and our waitress drinking a soda. Yes the place was almost empty but really hard as a customer to watch the wait staff fool around while you wait almost an hour for very dismal food. I doubt we will be back!!! read more

Very tasty food. Your serving portion was enormous and greatly appreciated. We will come back to eat. All of the food was cooked to perfection. Tell the kitchen staff the job was well done. Denny's breakfast is always pretty good and this Denny's is no exception - good food. However, I have eaten at this Denny's several times when visiting Las Cruces and it takes an unreasonable amount of time to get the food. Yesterday we waited 50 minutes after we ordered to be served our food. Our waiter, Ray, came by once and said our food was coming out next which could not have been true because we waited another 30 minutes. Folks that came in after we did were served, has eaten and gone and we were still sitting there waiting. Bacon was undercooked but other than that food was tasty. Best Denny's in 100 miles. Seems like Denny's are hit or miss, this one is a hit. We stopped for lunch on our way back to Alamogordo. I got a double cheese burger and I asked for no bun and no tomato. They got it right. I was very satisfied with my meal and my wife and daughter were just as satisfied with their meals as well. read more

Been waiting to try this place since its new unfortunately, as we walked in no one greeted us they all just stared like we were aliens or something. Cooks in the back were giving off dirty looks & commenting to each other, it felt like one of those lil diners in the twilight zone where the people walk in & you just know something bad is going to happen. This is how they made us feel at this Denny's which was so uncomfortable that we walked out & went to ihop instead where they treat you right with respect whether they like you or not & don't make it a point to let you know either.1 star for customer service. Food might be good but "I'll" never know. Maybe I caught them on a bad day who knows, I hope no one else gets this experience as me & my family did. Update: told a friend of ours the experience we had at Denny's Bataan memorial & to our surprise she says they make her feel uncomfortable there every time she goes as if we don't meet the status quo or something, don't know exactly what's wrong with them workers at Denny's but hopefully they get taught better customer service skills or something. read more

I'm barely giving this a 1 star only because our waiter was very apologetic for the food not coming out from kitchen in timely manner. This is my second time her cuz I figured the First time might have been a bad day for the kitchen but Noooo that was not the case. I hope corporate reads this cuz that Denny's has the worst kitchen staff of any Denny's I've ever been to. Soup came out after the meal. One person in our party didn't get there meal till we were almost all done and it was waffles! Our server went to check on our food several times. What a sad excuse for dinner. 50$ dinner. Server was monotone the entire time no personality at all. Food was so oily. It was so quiet and dead we had to whisper cuz there was no music. Disappointing to say the least. The server brought all our plates out one at a time. Being a server myself this was a disgrace to even call our server a server. Lifeless restraunt how pathetic.
