Everytime i come to this Denny's the waiters here are so rude and impatient. When i usually come here I have this waiter named Juan. Today my friend was decided what to get and he said "are u gonna hurry because i am busy" meanwhile the restaurant is mostly empty. I asked if i could get a side of hash browns and he goes "unless ur going to pay for it" the way the waiter treats us is despicable and unacceptable. read more

In the past, Denny's has not been one of my favorites, BUT, my opinion has changed. We moved to Lake Forest and began going to the Denny's on El Toro Road. The staff is very customer service friendly and upbeat. Their breakfast menu is excellent and the recent addition of the pancakes (recent to me-not sure when they did add them), just hits the spot. We mainly eat from their breakfast menu (any meal), but last night we ventured onto the dinner menu. The Tilapia was very good. The mashed potatoes with cheese (excellent). I had to vacate the house to allow Molly Maid do their magic on a morning I was home from work. The $2 $4 $6 $8 breakfast commercials had brainwashed me enough I drove to a Denny's and I wasn't on vacation in the mid-west. Trying to avoid too much fat and cholesterol I couldn't order the cheap specials. I ordered the $5.99 build-your-own Grand Slam with 2 egg whites scrambled, 2 wheat pancakes, yogurt (add $.49) and fresh fruit salad of strawberries, seedless grapes, and cantaloupe (add $.49) and a glass of orange juice. The OJ was a surprise, as the waitress brought out a gigantic glass of OJ which cost me $3.99!!! So much for the breakfast deal. My bill came up to $10.39. So much for saving money and at the same time saving your arteries. It was a good breakfast, but not inexpensive to say the least. read more

This restaurant employs adults to waiter the tables so the service is friendly and prompt with no teenager attitude. We have eaten here several times and enjoyed great service. My wife loves the Fit Fare omelet and generally orders it anytime of day. I go for the senior omelet which is always served hot and fast. read more

I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop into this Denny's location for a little something to quench my hunger. Albeit it was Valentine's Day, and a Sunday, I have absolutely no complaints. We got there just in time to beat the rush, and only had to wait 5 or so minutes for a booth. The waiter we had was cheery and helpful. I've never liked Denny's. Ok, I said it. Just not a fan of sticky menus and pleather seats. But, just want to drop a word about this "particular" Denny's. This place should be studied by the other Denny's. We started going there for breakfast. The service is WAY beyond what I expected, and VERY decent food. So, thought it was a quirk. I had a great night with my friends the night before my birthday. My friend told me that I can get a free grand slam for my birthday at Denny's, I was interested so I came in this morning. Got a table and when the waiter approached me I asked him about the freebie and he said that they indeed give free grand slam to a birthday person. I took out my ID and he said to show it at the cashier. After eating my breakfast, I went to the counter. I pulled a $50 bill, I was thinking that it was very nice of them to do that, bring in a nice mood I think $50 would be a generous tip. I showed the cashier about the free grand slam for a birthday person on my phone. She said she doesn't know about it. I told her that's what the ad says. She probably didn't hear me and just told me the total of my breakfast. I put back the $50 on my wallet that I'm supposed to give as a tip for free grandslam and just used my card and gave a tip of 10% which was $1.87. Do you think it was a dickmove from me? I got a coupon the other day for a buy one get one free dinner so how could I resist? I had not been to Denny's in years and I have to admit the food was a lot better than I remembered. I come here alot. The foods good and the price is good to me. I'm drinking their tropical smoothie right now and I love it! All there smoothies are really good actually. I also ordered their country fried steak and eggs, substituted the bread for bisquits and gravy........ yes I'm starving right now! This Denny's is a favorite of ours, we typically visit at least once a week. The food is excellent - fresh and hot. - and the service is even better. We have visited many Denny's and we always end up comparing them to this one and no other has quite made the cut. Humberto and Miguel are the best and always offer a greeting and a smile. I have been coming here for several years. The food is as expected. I've had some really good servers, and I've had some just ok servers. The manager is really nice. She is part of the reason we come here even though another location is closer to our home. This has become an Easter tradition with our family, because they have an Easter bunny that pass out candy. Tonight my fiancé and I decided to go to Denny's around 2:00am. The food was great and the service was awesome. Working the grave yard shift is already hard enough so we appreciated the excellent customer service. Then a booth table about 5 spaces down from us started cursing and belittling the server that was so excellent to us so I imagine he gave these customers the same par of service. It was clear these gentlemen had been heavily drinking by the amount of "F" bombs in their conversation. I just wanted to take a moment to recognize our server MIGUEL GOMEZ for handling the situation very professionally. It made my skin crawl that someone could be so rude. I hope if you're the guys that sat at that booth and are thinking of writing a review or complaining about this poor gentlemen. That you realize it was you who was in the wrong and there was no excuse for that behavior. I have given this Denny's 5 stars not because of the food but because Miguel deserves some recognition for the way he handled the situation and the excellent service he continued to provide after that episode. read more

A few years ago I would have given this restaurant a 5 star review. Not now though. Met some friends there Sunday night June 17, 2018. Our waiter, some young guy, was not very fluent in English and the orders had to be repeated and repeated. When asked if the ice tea was fresh, he said yes... it was anything but. Switched to a diet soda. It took 3 times back to the table just to get a water for my son. End of the meal, a shake was ordered. After getting more than 1/2 way done with the shake a Splenda sweetener wrapper was found stuck to the inside of the shake tin. When we alerted them of this, no replacement was given, i don't believe a discount was given. All the waited did was take the cup and pour what was left into a new tin. I'm glad my son and I only had a soda and water. My friends ended up puking up their meals over night. It had been a while since I'd been in to this Denny's. We used to frequent this location a lot. They have really gone downhill!! We used to know almost every worker there, we were in so much. Not a familiar face in the house. I do not recommend eating at this establishment.
