So on Christmas Eve day we decided to grab breakfast and the only option where we were in Henderson TX was Dennys so we figured we would give it a shot.!! Ordered the French toast slam it was fabulous! The brioche bread was cooked to perfection and not soggy in the middle which is always so frustrating for me when I order French toast.. the eggs were cooked exactly how I ordered and the bacon was hot and crisp.. we also ordered scrambled eggs, hashed browns, biscuits and gravy - we forgot we were at Dennys as the food tasted like it came from my mommas kitchen. They have a big menu with photos and lots of variety .. a new create your own breakfast which we ordered from and the prices were very good. This Restaurant is clean and The service was fantastic, we were seated promptly and greeted by the cutest little elder lady .. I was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is good here and they even have a wonderful large convenience store attached with so many little gifts and finds.. So if ever in the area don't be afraid to give them a try! read more

This was the worst Denny's I have ever eaten lunch. My husband and I both ordered the chicken fried stake which we have had before at Denny's in San Antonio. This one however was awful. The meat tasted like it had freezer burn. The mashed potatoes were cold and the corn also. The servers were very nice however they didn't notice I didn't eat my food nor questioned was it ok. The gravy tasted like it had been watered down and again it was cold. I don't eat cold food that's supposed to be hot or at least warm. We were traveling so we won't be back. read more

My partner and I were in a wreck a couple blocks away- someone ran a red light and hit us, we're both absolutely fine, just shaken up. We were 3 hours from my grandparent's house in McGregor, and had to find somewhere to wait. The tow truck guy recommended this Denny's and dropped us and our luggage off. The waitstaff at Denny's were so incredibly kind.we had been crying and they brought us chocolate milkshakes and gave us a big booth in a closed off section. Their kindness will always be appreciated. I have no idea what we would have done while we waited. I highly recommend the restaurant and have the highest praise for the staff. My family loves Denny's! We normally get take out due to having two young children at home. We're never disappointed. Our last visit was a couple of days ago. We called in our order (for 3) and when asking how long it would take, it was literally 5-10 minutes! Their food and service is great. Would definitely recommend this location. read more

Good service most of the time. Food is hit and miss depending on management on duty and who's working the kitchen.

Literally got yelled at because the three of us requested a table and not a booth. Told hostess we wanted table and yet she still tried to give us a booth. We were told the reason was because the server with the booth was next up in rotation. Who cares about that. If we want the table for more arm room that's what we should receive. Food still has not arrived and we have been sitting here for at least half an hour. Get the distinct impression that they would rather not have us in their establishment. read more

My problem with this restaurant isn't the food. It was passable, which is what I expect from Denny's. The eggs weren't rubbery and the coffee was hot. Good enough after 11 hours in a car. The main thing I wanted was something I didn't have to cook. The problem here was the service. At 11 pm on a Sunday night, in Henderson, TX, the place was not very busy. It shouldn't be too difficult for the two visible wait staff to take care of the four occupied tables and a couple of take out orders. The young man taking care of us seemed to be trying but was unfocused to say the least. The young woman, who appeared to be tasked with bussing tables and minding the register was in fact minding her phone and a table of four young men who appeared to be her friends. I had to ask three times for coffee and twice for silverware. The gentleman at a booth next to the one my husband and I occupied also had to repeatedly ask for silverware. A man with a take out order walked out on his bill after standing at an unattended register for at least five minutes. I can't support what he did, but I get where he was coming from. We waited at least five minutes with empty plates before my husband shouted for the bill. This was not the comfort food respite from a long, tiresome drive that we had hoped for. I suppose the moral of the story is: if you want to hire teenagers make sure they have adult supervision. They'll ruin your reputation with a quickness. read more
