A Waste of my Time! Piss Poor
Michael S.

I came for pancakes, scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese & onions with a side of turkey bacon, coffee and a glass of water. *** After 47min:28sec*** Seems abysmal and disingenuous at best! My female server noticed this and when I asked @ 29min-" Oh yeah-your order went to someone else " TWICE !!- I counted...I complained/ was not even believed by the female cashier- $ 3.59 for a cup of coffee...CRACKER BARREL IS SO MUCH BETTER... The food came in hot and fresh. The way I asked for correctly. My service was very nice and friendly had my food correct. The restaurant over all was clean. Yes i will come here

Waffle slam at Denny's
Randy S.

Both of us had the Berry Waffle Slam and coffees. Decaf was cold, tried twice. Server was nice, but the food delivery was amazingly slow. There were 5 couples on our side of the restaurant and we all waited a really long time. Food was still served cold to lukewarm at best. Bacon and sausage links were not greasy at least. Sausage links are so tiny they look smaller than vienna sausages from the can. Floors and tables are clean. Dining area looks decent. You teally need to serve food hot to the table.

This time was not so good thought I was coming for kids eat free on Tuesday but was an hour early ... food taste like the grease was old ... a waste of $28

Pumpkin Pecan pancake slam

Went old school the other day with breakfast at Dennys. All I can say is the place looks old on the inside. They need new carpet & seats. The breakfast wasn't all bad, but not like I remember it. The pumpkin pancakes were good. The coffee is really expensive for some reason $3.39 a cup. The service, let's say I only saw Christine twice not counting the time she took my money at the cash register. The average slam is now $10+

Cane here for a late night dinner and got some food. It was ok. It's like the the worse brother to ihop. The burgers were dry. Only thing that kinda redeems it is that the service was good. The ambiance feel like a subpar diner. Overall it was ok, don't think I would reccomend

Upon entering your NOT greeted. There were only two waitresses on duty that day. When I got up to the desk I was greeted. After sitting down in a booth. I could easily tell the booth had heavy wear and tear due to the springs being shot in the seat. The waitress gave me a menu and I ordered water. Upon getting the water. It definitely didn't tasted filtered. Tasted like straight tap water to which I found out later on the receipt. Upon ordering the food. The waitress was friendly but never smiled really so it started to feel very depressing in the place. Definitely didn't have a diner feeling. After ordering I noticed the waitresses don't wear their mask probably when in the kitchen. **SEE PICS** Also while waiting for the food. You could easily tell something was wrong. One of the waitresses was yelling to the cook "Listen I need you to cook the food throughly this time" the food can't be like the undercooked wings yesterday. Five mins go by and someone complains and once again more yelling to the cook "This food isn't fully cooked. Put it back on the grill". After that my food comes and I could easily tell it was a rip-off due to the small omelette size as well as the lack of even a decent portion size of meat inside the omelette. After tasting the food. The meat was barely warm and the overall omelette tasted like total crap. Discarded most of it. Ordered French fries and got home fries. Even though it was a simple order. The order was still wrong. The employees are somewhat friendly. Definitely not professional though. Also the overall environment is a complete mess. Dim lighting with a mildew smell in the place which was the smell of vomit in the mens room. **SEE PICS** , The vomit looked like it had been there since yesterday and was making the entire place smell after a while. The overall place as well as the silverware was nowhere near clean **SEE PICS** The noise level was normal except for the constant complaints from the waitresses to the cook. Lastly. This place lacks proper ventilation really. After a few minutes. It started becoming very humid and the vomit smell was overtaking the place. Overall. This place is a MAJOR DUMP. Called the health dept right from the parking lot. I've never seen a place this bad in Hanover before.

The serving sizes are huge for the prices and there are tons of options. The place is huge with indoor and outdoor seating, but there is often a wait even when there are tons of tables open. The food comes out way faster than the drinks which is annoying to me because they have lots of fun drinks and i normally would like to try more than one, but sometimes my drink doesn't come out until I'm almost done my food. They have a huge food and drink menu- plenty to appease everyone. I love the shrimp bowl, tacos, jambalaya, and garlic noodles. We go here often and everything is tasty. They prepare a full breakfast menu all morning, and a nice array of comfort-food the rest if the day. This was our first time here, and we were welcomed like regulars. We both felt like the fried fish, halibut i think, and we got one sandwich and one platter with fries. They served us hefty thick filets, lightly breaded, freshly fried and piping-hot. The halibut was mild-flavored, ready for our favorite sauces and seasoning. I like variety, and had some with salt and pepper, simple and delicious. We had some with genuine Tabasco, which to me is more flavorful than some of the sweeter hot-sauces, though i like those too. I ate it in the old style, which is to sauce the bread. It creates a creamy texture and makes it easy to get just the right amount of heat that I want with each bite. And Willy's served a thick creamy tartar sauce that is very satisfying. The fries were hot and crisped and quite generous. We liked Willy's welcoming staff. They seemed to like the place and the customers, and they seem to know many as regulars. And the customers filled the room with a soothing background of happy chatter. I can't tell you how comfortable it felt. We heard that breakfast fills up early on weekends, so we might not try to bring a large group during those hours. We will definitely be back :-)

Oddly enough, it was pretty quiet, but they do have the games on for anyone looking for a low-key spot to watch. We were seated within 5 minutes, which I appreciated. Our server, Patrick, was... okay. Not terrible, but definitely felt new to serving. We didn't get the rundown of the daily specials (yet overheard them being given to the booth behind us), and a few small service details slipped through--but I'm giving him grace based on his newness. One thing I noticed from Yelp reviews is that bread is usually served automatically. We had to request it, especially after seeing tables seated after us get theirs first. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. We ordered several appetizers, and honestly, they were filling enough to be a full meal: * Ribs - Flavorful, tender, and genuinely falling off the bone. The portion sizes were a bit inconsistent--some pieces were cut shorter than others--but the texture was on point. I'd definitely return for these. * Brussels Sprouts - Patrick didn't mention they were shareable, which would've been helpful. I did like the flavor, but in hindsight I'm glad we pivoted to... * Crab Dip - This one missed for me. The flavor leaned more tuna-ish than crab-forward. Not my preference, but you may feel differently. * Shrimp in Spicy Butter - Definitely spicy, but somehow still flavorless. More like spicy water than a seasoned butter sauce. The one bonus? They were served piping hot--exactly how I like my food. * French Fries - Hand-cut and tasty. A solid win. Unfortunately, everything except the shrimp came out lukewarm, which took away from dishes that could've been great. Temperature matters! On the drink side, though? Hits all around. The fresh-pressed beet juice was fantastic, and the sweet tea was also on point. We skipped dessert only because we were full, but I'm already planning to come back specifically to try it--along with the ribs and fries again. Overall, I'm hoping this was just an off day. Elliott's Kitchen has potential, and I'd like to see it shine on the next visit

I will likely certainly end up there again, although I live out in Illinois after retirement. We came again 29 SEP, met with a well loved couple from my work days. We had a great time, catching up, had decent meals. They were super gracious and treated us to dinner. So why just okay? Have you ever watched a trailer for a movie with some of your favorite stars, then you go to the theater, shell out $20 for a ticket, $15 for popcorn and a drink. The movie is okay, good, not great, and you leave a little upset with yourself for the $35 night that was just okay. Perhaps if I were not just comortable but actually "rolling in it", then I wouldn't have that little bit of was it worth it feeling that I get. Like I said, it's fine, I have been several times. I know when I have been totally in charge of choosing a location, I haven't picked here. I think it serves the area well as a place to take a client, a date, or to show off for friends. It is not a regular rotation stop for dining out, at least for me.
