I would give them 0 stars if I had a chance. It took way too long to get seated and when we did get seated they didn't even have the table ready. We had to help them set the table up. Then ordering came and we started with drinks. We ended up having two waiter one for 1/2 the table and one fro the other 1/2. Then we ordered our food. She took all our orders. Then about 10 minutes later the other waiter came and asked what we wanted to order. We told her we already ordered our food.... She just walked away confused. We waited about 30 minutes or so. We got our food everything was fine, we had asked for a refill on coffee. No one came back with coffee. Then one of the waiter finally came around when we were done and asked if everything was good. We again asked about a refill on coffee and asked for a glass of water. About 20 minutes later she came back, still no water, no coffee. Asked again for a glass of water. Finally brought it out. Over all terrible service, we won't be back. You should be in the industry to serve people, have a smile on your face, come around often, check how we are doing, offer refills, offer a glass of water. I live in Oregon and the Denny's there they are incredible. Check on you all around offer refills, ask to top you off even before you're done. Definitely need to work on this place. read more

I honestly cannot believe this place and how horrible their service and MANAGER is. Let's start from when we first got there. Seated in less than 10 mins I was like okay cool for a Sunday evening that's not bad. Then my fiancée tells me "babe, she basically warned me that it was going to be a bad experience because she just told me they are short staffed". I was like okay, but we are literally the only big party in here so shouldn't be that bad (party of 5, 3 adults two kids). Sat down, took almost 10 minutes to get somebody to take our drink order down. I thought to myself "hell, might as well order our appetizers". We ordered a build your own sampler, and wanted the "zesty nachos" but they were out of CHIPS. So, we ordered the Italian sampler. When we got our appetizers our cheese sticks were not cooked thoroughly. I immediately told her they needed to be cooked longer, so I put all the cheese sticks that came with both samplers in the "Italian sampler plate". Why in the heck when he got our appetizers back did we have less then half of the cheese sticks? Anyways we order our food and we wait. 10 minutes goes by and we get our side salads we ordered (there was no onions). ‍ I thought they maybe went "green" and took them out so I didn't say anything. Then the waitress comes back and says "we are out of corn dogs (my nieces order kids meal). We then requested Mac and cheese (no biggie). I get my meal, a double cheese burger no pickles add the American sauce. This burger comes with lettuce, tomato, onions. My burger had NO ONIONS. I bring it to the attention of the server and she's like whoa that's weird. The cook begins to tell her "that burger doesn't come with onions". Then comes to find out he tried to lie and cover up that they "ran out". At this point our whole party is frustrated. My nephew accidentally dropped his chocolate milk. Waitress came to clean it up, never brought him back a new one. My pregnant best friend didn't get a refill nor did my fiancée after asking for one more then 10 minutes later. Then when she finally comes back we remind her, why does the waitress try and refill my nephews cup with chocolate milk that fell on the floor? Funny thing is I use to be a waiter and waited to watch and see if she was going to change the cup or not and she DIDN'T. Let's talk about our check out process, all of a sudden the "manager" finally decides to step out of her cave in which she had been MIA the whole time we were having these issues. The waitress begins to tell us that she is going to comp my meal and give us a 20% discount. We said okay that's fine. Why did she end up charging us the full amount????? After realizing the receipt was wrong (I had stepped away to use the restroom and my fiancée stayed and paid). I went back and told the waitress, she gets her "manager involved" and completely exits the room. Manager approaches us, no hi, no hello, no sorry for your experience just a bunch of huffing and puffing. She begins to tell us (after she pulls the credit card tords her intentionally hitting my fiancé's arm) that she is going to rerun our cards and recharge us the correct amount. Me, knowing how banks work I say "so your going to recharge us and we are going to have to wait until that money goes back on our card because of your guys mistake? Guess she got super frustrated because she's not intelligent enough to work her own machine and after hearing me tell the people behind us to go somewhere else, she decided to comp our whole order. Good job Hispanic lady with all the tattoos (no name tag) REAL PROFESSIONAL RIGHT? Thank you for the shi**y service and the free food. MY ADVICE TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR SOMEWHERE TO EAT, go SOMEWHERE ELSE. This place has had shi**y service for YEARS. That goes to show that MANAGEMENT IS NOT DOING THEIR JOB. Hire a staff that communicates with each other better. Hire a dependable staff that won't call in so much so that you won't always be "understaffed", and please for the love of food HIRE A MANAGER WHO PRESENTS THEMSELVES BETTER WHO CAN BE PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. The family and I came here on a Sunday around 11:30 and was told it would be around 30 minute wait. They were fairly busy but that was expected for being a Sunday morning. However, after an hour + of waiting I went inside to ask what was up. Nobody came to me to help me so I called the restaurant from the host desk. This nice kid comes to talk to me after I insisted he comes to speak to me since he was 8 feet from me but talking on the phone. I asked why we were waiting over an hour yet I can count 14 open tables in the front room alone. Just then a woman approached and said they can open the seating again. Apparently the manager here decided door dash and grub hub orders were more important than customers standing in the restaurant. All employees were behind the counter fulfilling to-go orders and making the customers present wait for who knows how long to be seated and never told any of us waiting that they had closed the restaurant to seating. I have never in my life witnessed a restaurant completely ignore customers waiting so they can fulfill orders to go. read more

The seating service was about the best part of my visit. They actually sat my group at a requested area. But heres where things went down hill. I came in this morning to get some breakfast and milkshake to go, I asked the cashier how long it will take, and she told me about 10 minutes. I patiently waited for about 20 minutes, since I saw the place was pretty crowded. I got my breakfast after 25 minutes, and just kept on waiting for my milkshake. The same girl who took my order and saw me waiting asked me "can I help you?" I told her that I'm still waiting for my milkshake for 25 minutes. She turned around and started making the milkshake without even apologizing. She stopped 1 minute later without finishing and went to the front to talk to some new customers. I saw another staff member behind the counter and I told him that I was waiting for 30 minutes for a milkshake!!! After 40 minutes of waiting I was out with my breakfast. Absolute worst Denny's I have eaten at, you would think I would learn after giving them so many chances! My order is really simple, Biscuits and gravy, eggs over easy and a side order of ham, and a little extra gravy. And I sit at the counter, I have come in and placed my order and waited for my meal then 15 mins later been told their is no ham, or no gravy, why cant I be told when I order that those aren't available? And most of the time don't see my waiter for a coffee refill or anything else until I request the bill. And yet can see all the waitress standing around talking while waiting for orders to come up. Today was finally the last straw, my host brought my food, set it down and walked away, no would you like some ketchup or hot sauce, or a refill on your coffee, just plain walked away, and guess what my eggs were over done, but I cant saying anything because she has moved on! So I ask another hostess to fix the order, to her credit she did acknowledge that the eggs weren't over easy, as I said I was sitting at the counter and could hear the cook wasn't happy the meal came back so guess how my eggs came back, yes the yolks were nice and runny but so was the whites! Don't eat here! I made the mistake a few years ago and got FOOD POISONING from the nachos. I've never been so sick in my life. I ran a fever, had the shakes, vomitting and the worst part was the diarrhea that followed the twisting of my stomach. I felt like my insides were being torn out. There was actually one more thing that was worse. I was still nursing my son at the time. Luckily I had reserves in the freezer for him but had to pump and dump for fear that my milk was contaminated. Eat at your own risk!!! The chicken sizzlin' breakfast skillet was okay, although the chicken was dry. However, the pica de gallo sauce made up for the dryness. For the price, they could have given more veggies, i.e., roasted peppers and onions. The ciabatta bread on the chicken ranch melt was slightly hard, too. Service was quick and friendly. Giving this place a one star because I have to in order to rant my review. It is my Mr.s b-day so I spring for a meal (knowing his will be free) I know I'm a cheapskate! whatever)-we got an email saying his was on Denny's, after we order it turns out it has to be a grandslam. Who the F*&^ wants breakfast at 3pm? Anyways he orders the steak -tbone with mash potatoes, veggies, and I order a soup. I guess the steak was mediocre, but is wasn't really warm enough to love and I say this because our food was served to us after a customer (brown skinned of course-ours white) that arrived after we did and ordered after us as well. I understand spanish completely and overheard our server going over the top to serve the people at the table adjacent to ours completely IGNORING our needs. I agree about the no eye contact, and less than favorable service, but the fact they had no worcestershire sauce for steak was a crime. Almost sent the steak back but by that time we were so hungry we had to dig in. Took almost an hour. My soup was just okay, but hey the garlic bread was incredible, maybe the only good thing in our experience. Wish I read the reviews before coming here. I was in need of a quick bite before hitting the road home and found Denny's. There were several people waiting by I noticed the counter was open and asked if I could sit there. I was told "sure, there is no wait, go and have a seat." Well they don't tell you that the reason it's so empty is because you don't get service there. I was seated there for about 10 minutes before a server said to tell someone to take care of me rather than even acknowledging me or asking if I wanted anything to drink. 5 minutes later the host asks if I wanted something to drink and brings me a water yet there is no server to take my order. 5 minutes later I just walk out. Not sure why it's so busy at this place when the service is that horrible. I got back in my car and am now seated at the counter at Black Bear Diner down the street and within minutes my order was placed and the food is up. Do yourselves a favor, go to Black Bear, you may spend a lil more but the food and service are far superior in quality. read more

I am giving this place a 1 star because the service was very poor I came around 11pm and it took an hour to get seated and the restaurant wasn't even full. Once we were seated the waiter was quick on getting our order and drinks on time, be advised we were a party of 10, but after that our orders took over an hour to get, I get if the food was given at the same time since we were a party of 10 but no the food came at separate times. And before that we told the waiter we were all splitting a check, one of our party members was tired of waiting for her food and just got up and left before her food came out, once her food came out we told the waiter she had left and that we were not paying for it then she replied " well its just going to end up on the trash I will leave it on your table and split it among eachother" no one ate or even touched her food. When it was time to pay we let the woman at the cashier ROSA know that we were not paying for someone's food that we didnt even eat or touch and we all had separate checks she replied "she was part of your party you still have to pay" in a rude manner she by far as the rudest person in there , she didnt have to give us attitude, we ended up paying for the food but never again will we go to dennys. This is by far the worst Denny's my husband and I have been too. Having to wait 15 mins before anyone even acknowledged that we were waiting. The female workers were speaking Spanish and gossiping loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear. Two different couples there, that arrived after us were served first. me and my fiance stopped at denny's with the children to sit down to enjoy a meal from after coming from shopping at the gilroy outlet.we ordered our food & it took about a half hr. to recieve our food. our server wasn't as friendly as we are use to in our city of fresno.after we ate,we headed back to the suv to finish the kids school shopping and 3 of our windows were busted out! every bag we had was gone! in the middle of the afternoon! denny's have no cameras in their parking lot! we took a complete loss! this happened 08/04/13.this is the worst experience from going shopping out of town ever! we have a special needs child & those damn thieves took her suction machine for her throat & also all her medical supplies. all i ask is denny's get cameras installed in their parking lots for future victims. read more

We stop at Denneys about every 4 months at about 6:30 A.M. on our way to UCSF medical Center. it is clean, warm, and although the waitstaff may not be plenty, we get what we want, and are out in 30 minutes and back on the freeway. The food is pretty much what you expect at any Denneys restaurant. If you want better food, stay home and cook it yourself. It is convenient right off the freeway. It would be nicer to have a little more attention from the waitress but at that time,we really don't want conversation and don't want to be hoovered over. I think you get what you expect at that type of a restaurant. If you expect more, you need to go somewhere else. It is not bad, it is just food. read more

The service here is horrible. First, we came here on sunday night after a long travel from napa valley. 2 familes left and the server didnt even bother cleaning the tables even until we left. The servers never gave a smile... i can understand that thier job is tiring but they get thier tips and salaries from people who dines. when time to get back to the hotel, we been trying to get thier attention to ask the bill but nobody dares to look at us. The manager on 5/13/15 at 10pm, Jiovani, is an absolute stud at his job as far as I have observed. Twice now, I've attended this Denny's while he's on duty. Both times I expected the restaurant to be slow, but both times it was slammed, unexpectedly. I watched Jiovani host, wait tables, bus, and cook. Both times. And I kid you not, the man goes from one job to another swift, smooth, and collected. One second he's seating large parties, the next he's doing "side work," which consists of rolling utensils etc., then he's cooking out-of-nowhere, and then I hear him out of the corner of my ear spitting substitute options and additives as if he wrote the menu! Tonight, he had my order out to me in less than 5 minutes between ordering and receiving my plate. Mind you, it was SLAMMED. You truly don't appreciate his level of work unless you've worked in the food industry, like I have. This manager appears quite young, but it is obvious, if he keeps on his grind, hell no doubt end up the head or even owner of some future organization. I moved here from Southern California just last week and I'll definitely attend this Denny's as long as they keep this level of service up. Sure, most young individuals move onward and upward; however, the owners would be wise to ensure they develop and nurture employees like Jiovani, so he can teach future managers his expertise, and also, to promote star employee retention. This Denny's should be shut down. I have gone 3 or 4 times in the last 2 months and every time they managed to screw something up. I have also asked some of my friends and they had nothing good to say about this Denny's One night while waiting for my boyfriend to get off work I went in to get some food and it took 45 mins to get my food and another 45-50 mins just to get my check. This is ridiculous. The waiters and waitresses have got to be the slowest people on the face of this earth. On another occasion when i was with my parents the waitress decided to take another tables order while we were in the middle of our order. The waitress continued to question us about toppings that we chose to put on our burger, "like you really want that on your burger?" while giving disgusted looks to us.
