First and foremost, if you're not from Delano then Denny's is mostly likely your only sit down restaurant for that late night cravings. I can't tell you how many times I've eaten here when I come to Delano to visit. I give this restaurant 5 stars. They are very friendly, food tastes great, service is always on point and the atmosphere is amazing. They have this one manager named Shelly. She's amazing! Welcomes everyone that walks through those doors with such a warm welcome. She makes you feel like, you over her own house she treats all the customers with top of the line service. Always smiling and you can tell she loves her job. She sure is a great asset to the Denny's in Delano. The restaurant is always clean and my favorite; the restrooms are always presentable. (You can always judge a restaurant on how well they keep their restrooms clean) If you looking for somewhere to eat in Delano, then I highly recommend Denny's. read more

Worst Denny's I've ever picked up at. Besides the missing items, we ordered pick up last night and it took them over a half hour for two meals and two small milkshakes, and still couldn't take the time to give me my cranberry sauce and seasonal fruit I ordered? They ask what gravy you want on your POTATOES, and then they put it on my TURKEY and left my potatoes dry. The lettuce on my wife's burger was downright disgusting and shouldn't be served anywhere. She almost didn't eat the burger for fear of getting sick. The stuffing was burnt and there was hardly any there at all, plus they put the gravy and turkey on top of it and made it a soggy mess. We entered this restaurant the greeter was friendly. We thought ok it's full but the service seemed good. Once we were seated, we waited about 5 to 7 minutes before being asked what we wanted to drink. Good so far. By then, we knew what we wanted to eat, so we placed our order with the drinks. The drinks were brought back in a timely manner. Our order, however, was taking so long. We finished our drinks . Our waitress passed by our table at least 5 times, and we had finished our drinks, yet she never asked if we wanted a refill. She kept passing by our table, but not once did she ask to get us refills. I'm now looking towards the kitchen. I hear the cooks arguing, and one of the other waitress tells them to stop fighting and get the orders out because they had a full house. Clearly, they had some kind of situation going on. We had to wait from 11am until 12:25pm to get our order & the food was cold when we received it. I will never go back there. I do not recommend this location. It took too long to get my food, and I did not get a refill until I asked for one once my cold food made it to our table. Only to get attitude from the waitress. Horrible Service at the end. Food was good, drinks stayed full and the price was just right. I ordered pancakes with the moons over my ham. The sandwich does not really look like the picture but it does tast if not better as good as it looks on the menu. Coffe was on point and the silverware was clean!!!! So, I've been to this restaurant multiple times and EVERY single time was absolutely terrible. The last time I went was with my parents. They served us our drinks relatively quickly but that was it. We waited an hour and a half for our meals only to see that they were completely cold. My mother's country fried steak was inedible, it was cold, lacked flavor, and overall felt like they just heated up some leftovers. My father had to wait 2 hours for his food and it was completely cold yet again. As for me, I couldn't eat the cold food that was served sloppily on the plate and decided to walk next door for a burger at Jack in the box. read more

Dennys in Delano has become straight trash. I have never experienced such horrible service in my life like my experience at dennys today. Had to wait almost hour just to get my food when it wasn't even busy to begin with. Ended up getting the wrong orders for 2 of my family members and the waitress never once passed by the table after she served us our food and drinks (didnt get our drinks till the food arrived at our table). I had to psychically get up and go to kitchen area and ask one of many waitress to give me syrup for the 2 different order of pancakes my family members ordered, and to top it off all the tables around us were dirty and had used plates just lying there. Probably one of the worst Denny's I've been to. I've been to a Denny's on Christmas Day and that was the worst wait I've seen but it was justified. You ever see those chefs on Gordon Ramsey's kitchen nightmares or hotel nightmares? This is probably one of those places. The place is barely full(it was half full if ANYTHING) yet to wait for food from order to the table is 40 minute. It's almost like they have to go outside, collect the eggs, butcher the animal, and then finally start cooking. I've never in my life seen a restaurant chef take slower than you can cook at home with a barely full dining room. It took this long to get probably the worst meal I've gotten from Denny's ever. Didn't send it back because of how long it took in the first place but out of every breakfast/egg place I've been to I've never seen someone mess up OVER EASY eggs this bad. Like, I've seen high schoolers make over easy eggs better than the chefs here. My culinary teacher back then probably would have flunked the cooks here. It's really not rocket science to cook eggs. You would have thought with how much time they put into making a meal I would have gotten amazing food. Quite the opposite unfortunately. The only reason why it's two stars over one is because the waitresses are nice and are doing their best and they have nothing to do with the kitchen or quality of food. They were great but the cooks.. that's a different story. This Denny's ain't it, chief. If you're a local I guess this is all you can get but if you're traveling just keep driving another 10-20 miles, you'll find a better Denny's. Trust me. This is an update to my previous review, I took my family in again 8/5/17. Things seem to run smooth when the male manager is there, but when the female manager is there everyone pretty much seem to do what they want and slack off. DAISY the waitress is always RUDE no matter what time of the day you see her. She wont even smile . So I live in Delano and usually always take my family there for Sunday breakfast. But on this particular day none of the waitresses seemed to be moving. I honestly don't know what was going on, but we waited for 1hr 15 min and to top it off there was hardly no one there. 2nd our waitress that was waiting on us had a bit of a bad attitude. When she was bringing the food, Instead of saying excuse me she just tamed the plates of food right in front of me and my poor wife. I was disgusted, then when we got up to pay our check the MANAGER was talking and laughing and laughing with apparently people she knew. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! One of the best and nicest Denny's out there!! The service was great and the staff was on it when it came to making sure I had everything I needed or wanted. The atmosphere was very welcoming and my waiter Jose was friendly through the whole time I was there! When it came to paying the bill the cashier, Isaiah, was really friendly and welcoming and I even had a great conversation about what he aspires to do in college! I've been coming to this Denny's for the past 10 years and have nothing but good things to say about their food and service. The food is always good and their service is impeccable. Just like any other business, they will have their ups and downs, but I will never give up on them.
