Usually the Denny's in Clovis, NM is pretty decent, today, that was not the case unfortunately. Not only did we have a party of 4, with 3 orders being the exact same Super Grand Slam and one Everyday Slam, but our order was incorrect and an hour late. I'm not sure how much simpler we could have made it but we were very hassle free and patient to our detriment. I had to bother another server for an ETA on our food after a literal hour went by because our server went MIA w/o a single follow up. So the "not our server" came back to tell us our order was being placed on the tray and 10 mins later, part of our food came out with our correct server simply stating "sorry, the kitchen messed some stuff up!" That was it for an apology or explanation. She whisked herself off and came back with more of our uncomplicated order, let us wondering where the rest was and returned finally with the last of our food. EVERYTHING was cold, I requested extra crispy bacon for my mom and she got the least crispy bacon and her eggs were burned. Needless to say she didn't finish her meal, my brother didn't finish his and neither did I. Thank goodness for the tried and true pancakes because this late breakfast that almost turned into lunch was an absolute disaster and bust. The returning manager who's been gone for about a year from this Denny's, recently returned bless her heart and was very apologetic, appalled and outright fed up. She took care of us whereas the server charged for things we didn't even have. I went to get me free Birthday Slam, got on the waiting list, they seated other people before me and my kids, we waited more that 1hour to get seated, my kids were starting to get upset. They seated us and the waitress did not know anything about the Birthday Slam, I ordered, they brought our food after another hour of wait, my coffee was very cold, the waitress never showed up after that, she didn't even bring me my bill, I was very unhappy, they couldn't even give me my AARP discount, not even my free Birthday Slam, my bill was super high. Me and my party of 5 usually a party of 9 are regulars at Denny we usually go to Dennys most Thursday's or Fridays and today we were a party of 5 and we walked in and the front guy told us hi and said he needed to go talk to the manager and came back out not even 1 min later saying that they'll will not be serving us today and we asked why and he told us because they're servers are complaining we don't leave any tips and we told them we do not leave a tip anymore because most our order is never fully right and we usually don't make a big fuss about it because we usually have a big party and there's always a lot of us so we don't say anything but another reason we don't leave a tip is because they gave us a wait time for an hour we waited an hour and like 20 mins came back and they told us another like 15 mins when we had to wait another 25 mins later and then me and another person apart of my party got the same thing they both were not made right but they refused us service as regulars. read more

To start off the hostess took about 25 minutes to sit us, our waitress was horrible from the start. So decided I did not feel like McDonald's and low and behold there is a Dennys on the corner. Outside was clean, inside was clean. I was seated quickly and the waitress was friendly and quick. Came in hungover from New Years Eve party and wanted to get a nice breakfast to start our day, but eventually left from an hour wait with no server asking us if we even wanted drinks. They said they would be right with us, but that was at least 10 minutes ago. We left and are currently in IHOP where we are HANGRILY waiting, but are hopeful for their fast and good service. I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant. It was completely dirty. Bathroom smelled like alcohol. I have patience for new staff but the manager watched the staff fail and did nothing. The waitress could not get the order right and when we got our food it was wrong. Took 30 minutes to get an order of hashbrowns. I had a bad experience a few years ago in store (sticky tables, poorly trained waitstaff) so I tried it out again last year (again sticky tables, poorly trained waitstaff, so-so food). Today we tried ordering take out. The app kept crashing, but eventually we placed the order. It was ready in time and promptly brought out to our vehicle. However when we got home we realized the quality of the food was really disappointing. My husband and son's pancakes weren't done in the middle, the bacon was burnt, and all three of us aren't feeling well after eating there. We asked out waitress about it and she said we have to ask the management about it. They were out of almost all of there fountain drinks. We got sweet tea and it had an inch of sugar in the bottom of the glass. The food wasn't too bad. I got the chicken fried steak. The picture in the menu looked like a big homemade one, but what I got was a small thin one that looked like something you would buy at the grocery store in the frozen food section. My husband got the lumberjack meal. The only thing wrong with it was the burnt hash browns. As far as the service it was good. Our server was very nice. Coffee is superb!!!!!!! Came out hot and freshly made!!!!! Hubby couldnt eat much of his food only cause he has the flu. Sons food was really good. Ate half his fries and a couple of bites of his hamburger. I ordered a burger but came out on the wrong bun only because they ran out of the regular one it was supposed to come on. Understandable considering the holidays are over. Order more correct item and would be amazing! Waitress was good just a bit backed up other than that she was a sweet heart somewhat.
