Scott is a great manager that does everything to accommodate you and the staff is very friendly

Service was good but guys the Chowder was equivalent to a bowl of bottom of a cereal bowl . Not rich and creamy at all . The pasta was somewhat starchy and needed to be cut with a knife in small fork servings . Now on to the 3 serving of shrimp. So tasty and cooked to protection. The Garlic Shrimp was my favorite. Hands in the air for the peach margherita . Now on to the floor show the Manager had a loud debate with the dishwasher just steps away from us it was so entertaining. We stopped here for dinner because I was craving seafood. Unfortunately, I found a hair in my lobster dip. While they did offer to replace it, after seeing the hair, my appetite was gone. There was no apology or discount offered, which was disappointing. I wouldn't visit this place again. read more

I haven't visited this restaurant in a long while but decided to meet a friend here last night to try out the new menu that I keep hearing so much about. I started off ordering the Bahama Mama from the cocktail menu. The waiter quickly came back to let me know I couldn't order that drink due to not having Malibu and another ingredient. Not sure why they needed Malibu the ingredients listed Capt. Morgan and Bacardi rum. I then ordered the new Passion Star Spritz, it was nice and refreshing. We then got a basket of the cheddar bay biscuits which are amazing! Light fluffy and full of flavor! I asked to order the crab queso for our appetizer and I was told they were out of the queso which was a bummer because I really wanted to try it. So we opted for the lobster flatbread. It was actually really good. It has a flaky salt seasoning on the bottom of the crust which is unique and tasty. My friend and I really wanted to try the new boils so we shared the Mariners boil with the Cajun butter. The lobster & shrimp in the boil were just average the crab legs were really good. I just wished they would serve butter on the side for them. The corn was still frozen and cold and the potatoes were not all the way cooked through so they were not edible. Over all I don't recommend the new sea food boils at this location. My friend and I continued to visit and she ordered the new Purple Haze drink and it was pretty tasty and then came the best part of the meal DESSERT! We ordered the Brownie overboard! The brownie was warm and topped with ice cream. It was a nice ending to our evening. Our server was attentive and nice! read more

Customer service can make or break the entire experience and I have to say our server definitely enhanced and added to our entire dining experience, exactly how dining should be. Not much better this time around. My tall modelesque server is beautiful but she seems like she's used to ordering kids around all day. Or is in the military. Not warm, personable or patient. And took forever to take my order. I know the drill....restaurants like this don't value older single people coming in. This place is expensive, sigh. So far it's been hit or miss. Let's hope Beauty improves her server communication skills. read more

We had a nice lunch at Red Lobster. The service was really good, and the food was brought out promptly. I really enjoyed the salmon New Orlean's with side Caesar salad and green beans, my son enjoyed his popcorn shrimp, and my wife enjoyed her shrimp scampi. I felt the bacon wrapped scallop appetizer was good but over priced for what we got. One unexpected positive was that they had a diaper changing station in the men's restroom- so that was a nice surprise. I think overall this was a good lunch. I understand that this is a chain and doesn't serve the best seafood ever, but I think for seafood in Clovis, this was a great meal. read more

Just had one of the best wagu burgers I have ever had. We also had an awesome server. Just ask for Taliya if you eat here. My wife had flounder, scallops and broccoli that was very fresh and prepared well. A wonderful experience all the way around. Also super clean. read more

Forgot food, workers vacuuming under the table next to us while we ate and then went table to table with a flash light inspecting. We ordered crab abs they didn't bring the utensils to eat with. We waited 10 minutes to be seated, then the greeter said, "give me a few to clean a table for you" in an irritated tone. read more

The food was not only subpar but almost inedible. Lobster was rubbery. NY strip Steak was ordered medium rare and arrived with the tensile strength of a well done, but completely raw inside. Outside was over salted but inside was still cold. After requesting it to be properly cooked it was returned with the edges browned but sides still cold and inside still cold. Not a lot of sea food options when you choose to live this far inland and in the middle of nowhere. It's nice to have the option to eat out at Red Lobster. We purposely save the opportunity for special occasions birthdays graduation etc. Our local Red Lobster has never disappointed. read more

It was alright.. i was craving a surf n turf. I like the sauce they put on top of the steak. Service was exceptional the broccoli was a bit overcooked and from several locations around the country, i felt the lobster and its crab stuffing was a little inconsistent. Perhaps the cook was having a bad day. I also ordered the lobster n crab stuffed mushrooms, the butter n cheese helped to mask the age as I felt the Seafood side was a bit lacking. All in all it was edible but a few bars down from other locations. The store was clean, didn't notice any distasteful smells. Business was a little less packed at this location than I'm used to seeing as well. read more

Traveling through Clovis, NM last night at the end of a two week long driving vacation. We needed "not fast food". Saw Red Lobster. The wait staff was very engaging, attentive and well trained. They kept the glasses full, food was delivered promptly, and they did an excellent job. The food was delicious - but that is to be expected of Red Lobster which I have always enjoyed. The general manager stopped by, talked a moment and made sure everything was good. If this is how his staff functions every night he should be proud. I was checking Yelp this morning and saw they only had three stars?? It was based on old reviews. Maybe they have new management, different wait staff, or have just upped their game. But from what I saw last night they deserve better. read more

Considering this is one of the "nice' places to go to in Clovis, I enjoy it. It's a typical red lobster as far as food, but the building is quite small in comparison, they did remodel which is better then before, a lot more open and spacious. Love the sweet chili shrimp appetizer and the new mussels!! I was actually the first one to order the mussels they said and wanted to know what I thought. We came here a few times because it seems to be the safest place to get seafood in landlocked, 10 hours from the sea, New Mexico for no meat Fridays during Lent. Better to eat here during not so busy lunchtime. Staff is polite to the point of creepy and we wonder if they are trying to rush us out? It is mildly annoying but I suppose that it is better than bad service. The food is okay. Generally, Red Lobster has yet to wow me. I like the clam chowder fries, flounder is okay, and I was disappointed at the flavor and overly chewy texture of the meat in the lobster roll. They do have a much bigger more diverse menu than I remember. read more

Got to RL at 8:30pm and the parking lot was empty. I should have recognized this as a sign. After an hour of waiting and a watered down drink later, our food finally showed up. Did I mention the parking lot was empty?? Maybe 15 people in the entire restaurant and it took an hour to get our food. Here's the best part, food showed up on hot plates but the actual food was cold. I don't think I've ever seen this in 40 years of eating out. The list of issues with the service and food is too long to even post. I realize Clovis is a small town but this poor level of food is beyond comprehension. read more

We love red lobster but we will never go back to this one again. We had a big table of people and so much stuff was forgotten including drinks ordered and lobster tails and such, drinks were super weak and the manager was an absolute ass. He refused to serve my brother alcohol because the state of Oregon sends out stickers for the drivers license when there is a change of address and we would have explained further and accepted this easier if the manager had not come over and been so incredibly rude about this situation. The wait staff and service are acceptional. The food was cooked and arrived hot. The manager came by and asked how service was (good as always). The asparagus was probably cooked a little to hot on the grill, but not badly enough to return. Why the three rating? The carpet smelled awful. I can't descibe the smell other than heavy oil (from butter?) has been forced into the carpet. I could smell the carpet from the hostess stand. I was grateful that my husband and I were seated at the back of the dining room, because I think it sees less traffic. I don't recall this the last time I went (it's been a couple months), but I'm leary of returning any time soon. read more

First of all, I am not typically a chain restaurant fan. However, the options in the Clovis/Portales area are few and far between, so we went here on Mother's Day when I went to pick up the kid from ENMU. I have to say, I ordered a simple broiled fish with a side salad and it was better than I expected. Of course, the kiddo has pretty much the opposite taste from mine and had a bunch of fried stuff and loved it. Being as it was Mother's day, I treated myself to a fresh biscuit, and they are sinful and probably horrible for you but really delicious. My salad was fresh and the servers kept the water glasses full. The people running this place keep it clean and the servers were sweet and efficient. Positively the worst Red Lobster I've ever been to. Ordered coconut shrimp and blackened shrimp scampi with steamed broccoli. The coconut shrimp was fine but the shrimp scampi was disgustingly salted. Blackened does not mean obscenely salted. So I thought, I have at least got steamed broccoli to satiate my appetite and it was also covered in a salted substance that was not butter. Lastly the cheese biscuits, that are the staple of Red Lobster, had so much salt on the outside of them that my children wouldn't even eat them. It is a heart attack waiting to happen, this place needs a new and fresh perspective. I have a great blackened recipe if you would like it. Another waste of money in Clovis. Hey, It's Red Lobster, everyone has pretty much eaten there, and it's pretty good food at a decent price. I love the drinks and the cheddar biscuits. I say order thoughtfully from the menu. Most of the food is pre-prepared and frozen. I like the flash frozen fishes without too many extras. The toppings and sauces really add a ton of salt and then you don't taste much other than that. Family friendly, great for groups, friendly service, reasonably priced for fish in the desert. read more

Felt like I was being rushed to order when It was clear we were not ready to. Training is the main issue with the servers, I expect from a national chain like Red Lobster to have a fine dining experience. First, the waitress did not give us enough time to look at the menu to decide what we would like to order. The tea I ordered only had a few cubes of ice, I asked for a glass of ice and extra . and the waitress forgot to bring them, I had to remind her. When we were ready to order, I placed my menu down on the table a obvious sign we are ready to order and she did not come around for about ten minutes. They were not busy. Do not order the steak at a seafood place. My filet mignon which should be extremely tender and juicy was the driest steak I have ever tried. When I ordered, I ordered a medium rare but it was medium well to well done at best. Our food was mixed with other tables foods as if they did not know who's ticket was for who. This was the most unorganized place at this time of night. The host at the front was rude. Did not enjoy this experience and this was to celebrate a birthday. Please fix these inconveniences before I come back. Me and my friends will take our business elsewhere in the meantime. read more

Haven't had Red Lobster in a few years due to the direction it was headed and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good, our server was awesome and the price was fair. I believe it's the best place to eat in Clovis, NM for the price. read more
