This place is addictive for me. Best deal in town is the every day slam for $4. 2 eggs (fresh in shell if you ask for it. Otherwise powered. Cannot tell the difference.), and choice of sausage or bacon, and two pancakes. Just perfect for me. The burgers, and the hot skillet dishes look really good, but I have not tried. For some reason I don't understand, they have a sign saying "wait to be seated ". I never do, and I like to sit at the counter because the servers are right there and I see all of the dishes that the kitchen puts on the shelf for the servers to get. Facility is nice, and a lot of items on three menus. Noise is a bit much when they scream out "good morning, welcome to Dennys " everytime someone comes in. Could do without that! Not The Denny's I Remember! My wife and I were seated promptly by the hostess. Atmosphere: pleasant, recent rock & roll and pop music Temperature: great (70-72°) Server: Tiffany, who is well dressed, well groomed, well mannered, very knowledgeable and attentive. Our coffee and tea were served hot and creamer was provided. Our orders were taken. Meal #1: Omelet w/hash browns. This meal was hot and picture perfect. Portion sizes were perfect. Meal #2: Lumberjack Slam w/scrambled eggs. Meal was sent back because eggs weren't scrambled but fried. When meal was returned, it was hot. Ham, sausage hash brown portions were very good. The pancakes were hot and fluffy. But the eggs were displayed in a solid clump. The bacon was so thin, that I didn't recognize it as bacon. The only place I've seen thinner bacon was McDonald's. Woo hoo! I am a HUGE Denny's fan! So much so that I actually went to the location out on Mansfield Road last year for my birthday breakfast!!! And now they are opening up this new location here in Bossier City on Old Minden Road. This location was once a Shoney's and then most recently a place called Mobe's, but now, happily, it's gonna be a Denny's. Grand Slams all around! And just in time for my birthday, yet again!!! Honestly, I hate Denny's because of my experiences. I'm an iHOP kinda guy, but my friends wanted to come here, so I was persuaded. Hands down, this is the best Denny's I've ever been to. Had a terrible experience on 2/28/16. Watched the Manager Patricia Kelly belittle an employe to the point of making her cry. When I asked what was going on I was informed that the server had made some mistakes and was going to have to pay $80+ dollars. I told the manager that I would pay for it. I also asked Mrs. Kelly to please treat her employee with respect as for that we are all human and we all make mistakes and there is no reason to belittle the new server. Mrs. Kelly was very rude, when I started to ask for information about the store and her name and such she replied with "I don't know." Obviously, if she won't give out the information she did not respond to the situation correctly. I am in contact with corporate and the owner of the location trying to find out what is being done regarding the situation. PS: The food was great and the service from everyone else was great. I LOVED the food, LOVED the waitresses. Everything was perfect. But that supervisor/manager or whatever in the red hoodie sitting there griping THE WHOLE TIME. Absolutely horrible service. We got there and needed to use the restroom and it was disgusting. The toilet was clogged with paper towels and it smelled like somebody had Peed all over the walls. We love this Denny's. We moved to the south a year ago and could not for the life of us find a decent breakfast which we thought was very strange in the south. Husband walked behind the counter after standing in front of it for serval minutes to refill his own drink with 4 employees within 10 feet of him. Not one noticed him or at least pretended not too. I've always seen such good advertisement from Denny's so I was so excited to try it. However, this is without a doubt the worst dining experience I've ever had. First we walk in and there are at least 10 tables open and yet it takes them longer than it should to seat us. Then we sit down and our waitress comes over, can very obviously tell she doesn't want to be there. Barely making eye contact, asks what we want to drink. Funnily enough, the drinks were the only thing that we enjoyed, even though my drink had some kind of what looked like leftover food bits floating in it. We barely got to glance at the menu before she was asking what we wanted to eat. Told her we needed a couple more minutes. In that time, one of my friends noticed his silverware was filthy, and went to ask for another one. The waitress said oh those are just stains. My friend had to tell her that he'd be more comfortable with a new set before she gave him one. Anyway, she came back 3 minutes later asking if we were ready. We decided to order an appetizer just till we decided what we wanted to eat. We ordered a full order of the Zesty Nachos, which really weren't that bad. Chips were decent, pepper Jack queso was a little watery but spicy and decent. The meat looked questionable but all together, it wasn't bad. Once we ordered our entrees, two of my people ordered the grand slamwich, one ordered the slam burger, and I kept it simple with the chicken strip dinner with cheddar mashed potatoes. This is when it was just ridiculous. It took about 15-20 minutes for the food to come out and the two slamwiches bread were burnt black on the top and one looked super loaded while the other looked like it had two pieces of meat on it. Shouldn't they look the same being the same sandwich? The burger looked decent however he said it definitely lacked any type of flavor. And boy oh boy, I though I was playing it safe with my order but my four little skinny chicken strips arrived almost 10 minutes after everyone else's food. The four strips were in this big bowl for some reason, like they ran out of plates? and the waitress set two little tiny bowls with one small scoop of mashed potatoes in each, with a pinch, yes a pinch, of shredded store bought cheddar cheese on top, not even melted, beside my tenders. Whatever. Ate one strip, and you could absolutely without a doubt tell it was frozen before. You could almost taste the freezer burn on it. Again, whatever. The mashed potatoes had a little too much skin in them for my liking but had their been some nicely melted cheddar in it, I could've easily looked past it. Pero no. I got to eating the third strip and I could barely bite through the chicken because it wasn't even cooked all the way! That's when I was just completely done with this place. If you can't even reheat pre-cooked strips right, then what are you doing working in a kitchen? I work in a kitchen for Geaux Fresh Monday through Friday and none of this food would have ever left my kitchen. It all belonged in the trash. The waitress never brought us our ticket so we went up to the counter and had a different waitress print ours out. Imagine our anger when just three of our meals together cost us a little over $50. DEFINITELY not even close to being well worth the price. This is the one time and I really pray only time, I did not leave a tip. And working in restaurants all my life, I'm not the person to do that. But this whole experience was despicable. I couldn't in my right might, find one thing that was worth a tip. I didn't even want to fork over $50 for that pile of crap. This will definitely be the first and last time I ever eat at a Denny's. read more

We were seated pleasently. We sat towards the back of the restaraunt. My son ordered a t bone steak my son said it was tender and juicy. I got coffe he got diet cola. We ordered a birthday cake shakes. I got eggs,hash browns,and bisquits and gravey. They. Made gravey without pork for me, and that was nice of them to do. As i've stated before i hate heavily salted good. True to restaraunts around here the potatoes were real salty, the eggs seemed salty too or the bisquit gravey. We sat at a table with the music coming out of the speaker up above us. What if someone don't care for the type of music they are playing? There was 4 tvs i think. That was good if you wanted to watch sports. Will i go back. Yes dennys is a staple of american history like kmart or 7 11. When you are hungry dennys comes to mind. Took 1 hour and 30+ mins before sitting (skipping over our name on list costantly) 2nd in line and waited so long that the people out the door and around the corner sat and ate before us! It's been a while since I've been to a Denny's and I have memories of it being just an ok place. This place was well above ok. It was nice, clean, and the staff was wonderful. I loved the old Denny's of the 70's with the pink and orange booths and the pink and orange waitress uniforms. The decor now is of a funeral parlor and wait staff is dressed like ninjas. We went to this location for breakfast at 7am. There was only 1 waitress on with about 20 customers. The quality of the food was poor. I sent the hashbrowns back 3 times. burned on the outside, oily and raw in the middle. The eggs and toast were cold. sent them back once and got the same back. Grossly overpriced $32.00 for two people! Outrageous! Never again! read more
