First let's just say that having your wife stared at by the large obese manager as if she was a food item from the menu should have been a clue to what was to come. The waitress was sweet but forgot numerous items that were asked for when placing the order. Then my wife's omelette came out and asked you can see drowning in dark burnt grease. At first we thought it was water from the vegetables but as she tilted the plate it became the dark brown grease that you see in the pictures. It took us having to flag down another waitress because ours was MIA. Ours came to the table, we sent the food back, was never offered a retire or anything. The waitress came back a couple minutes later and offered a retire, which we declined. The creepy obese manager never came to apologize either. Probably a good thing. My question is this, why didn't the creep not catch this as it came off the line? Why didnt the waitress not catch this bringing it to us? As you can see in the picture it was very evident. Some of the worst service and dining experience in a long time. We arrived to this location shortly before noon. The parking lot was maybe 20% filled, so we didn't expect too long of a wait. There were two other tables ahead of us, with maybe 30% of the restaurant filled, and it took about 5 minutes to be seated. Once seated, Drinks came out quickly. Then we were ignored for a good 20 minutes. It took walking to the front counter to get a refill and ask to order before a waitress showed up. Once we ordered we were ignored for another 25-30 minutes. No checking on drinks, no checking in, nothing. Then all of our food arrived all at once. Both the Natcho appetizer as well our main meals. All of it slightly cold already. When we were ignored again. No check in if everything was good, no refills, nothing. I love the designs of the building and the interior is pretty cool. It looks like an updated version of a classic diner. The food is good most of the time. Unfortunately the service is horrific. There were tables that were seated after us, that had food before someone came to take our order. We have visited this location before, and service tends to be on the slow side, but today was the last time we will come here. read more

This morning I woke up early for a hankering of something hot to drink because these nights are getting cold here at the beach! So I went to Denny's which is located on South Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach SC and they didn't disappoint. My waiter was very nice and all I had was a cup of hot tea which was perfect. I drank it while watching the sun rise and now I can start my day off right! The price was very reasonable for the cup of tea and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Plus the atmosphere was energetic for being 6:30 in the morning!! I recommend this place for anyone who loves diner food all day. read more

Rating is a negative (-10)! Terrible. Went here to try out the dinner menu - since we've only come for breakfast. It was a Sunday evening (05/19/2024). We arrived at 6:15pm. Hardly any cars in the parking lot. Got seated right away. However, it took about 15-minutes to get our waters - and another 10-min to get our order. Brianna was our server. She seemed okay at the start. After 25-minutes, Brianna took our order. Now mind you, it was not busy. But we did notice that there seemed to be a lack of staff. Many tables were dirty and not cleared. In any case, to make a long story short, our food order took over an hour. Brianna's constant reply to any dialogue was, "I gotcha!" The problem is, she didn't "Gotcha!" She was extremely slow and forgetful about the simplest request. She did stop by once to inform us that our order was coming in about 10-minutes. (After 45 minutes of waiting have passed!) We noticed that other customers had been waiting for their food as well - missing items on their orders and new arriving patrons waiting for about 15-minutes to get initial attention... I understand that the restaurant business is challenging. In addition, it is a very difficult challenge to acquire good reliable staff who show up and know how to take initiative. But I must say, more importantly training in this hospitality/customer service environment is crucial. This was lacking at this Denny's location! And to think that it is only approx 3+ miles from the Denny's Corporate Headquarters!!!! We left that evening disgusted. We arrived at 6:15pm and left at 8:52pm. 90% of that time was purely waiting for service and our food. Finally, if anyone at Denny's Corporate cares to read this Review, better training and management involvement is needed. There was a young black girl who was in sweat shorts, T-Shirt, and Crock Sandals who came in and started cleaning some of the tables. No uniform or decent attire...??? Management was nowhere in sight. Needless to say, no more Denny's outing for us! It was a terrible experience. Dinner entrees were mediocre. With the uncleanliness of the facility, we had hesitations on eating our food order! In essence, lost our appetite. We ended up taking our food home because we didn't want to stay one minute longer. We had to go up to the front (where she was sitting on her phone) to get her attention. We should not have to go get our own check. I travel between Greenville and Charlotte frequently and have found that this Denny's location is perfectly convenient for me to grab a meal no matter what time of day (or night) I am on the road. It is immediately off of an exit and has always been quick whether I am eating there or carrying out! This location appears to have been renovated in recent years because although it has a classic diner feel, it's definitely modern and updated as far as the booths and decor go. There are typical booths for 2 or 4 people, corner booths for larger groups, and one booth that seriously looked like 12+ people could be seated with plenty of elbow room. (I took a picture because I don't think I've ever seen a booth this big!) I'm always surprised by the variety of their menu and alternate between craving their breakfast foods or wanting a burger. This last trip I had a turkey club sandwich that will definitely be added to my rotation of favorites! I absolutely love their french fries- basically a mix between a crinkle fry and steak fry. I recently dined solo and was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and attentive my waitress was. She was the perfect balance of checking in frequently without hovering or being overbearing. She even offered me a to-go cup of coffee when she realized I was on the road and insisted on bringing a fresh cup instead of me taking what was left in my mug! read more

We went here for a late breakfast on a Saturday. We walked in were immediately ignored. Then two woman on 2 occasions said we will be right with you. So, when the third said that after we were just standing there to be seated I spoke up. She did stop and seat us. The reason for the 3 stars is lack of customer service, and the food. I selected Maybe and here's why; If you like to know everything going on in the kitchen and the server station, this place is for you. Wish I could give it zero stars. I brought my family of 5 for my daughter's 10th birthday. I figured the Denny's that is 5 miles from their global headquarters would be staffed up. We entered a restaurant at maybe 5% capacity (less than 10 guests), with 2-3 servers and 3 cooks so no workforce issues. When we told the server we had a party of five, instead of being greatful that we were there to spend some cash she acted bothered and greeted us with a "Well, it might be a while." There were tortilla chips, crumbs, and another hair in with my daughter's French fries! This place used to be really good but they have definitely gone way down! They never offered to "make it right" and send out the missing order. The girl on the phone was extremely rude and when I asked to speak to the Manager, she said she was the manager, really?!?! Got an email from Dennys saying it was free delivery Friday. At the bottom of the email it had the date, but I couldn't get the discount in the app. I called the store to ask about it. The manager said he googled it and there was no discount for today. He did not try to fix the problem and did not have any information about the promotion. He said the delivery is through other services like grub hub and doesn't have anything to do with them. They need better communication. read more
