I believe we are regular on this Dennys. We normally have lunch at least twice a month after church. Always have great service even if the food takes a while, but it's great service overall. Unfortunately, today's visit did not sit well for me. We came at 12 noon and asked to wait because there is no seat available for a party of 5 or more. After 10 minutes, a family of 6 arrived. They were also told it will be at least 15 to 20 minutes, like us. When the seats became available, the party of 6 was seated before us. Then I asked what happened, the host said, and they mapped where they were sitting both parties. They put it as on table next to the restroom and the other family to a better location. It is disappointing that the party of six was seated first, getting the better table, and we seated after, even though we came in first. The worst part is that we are seated next to the restroom, where you will smell the restroom every time someone opens the door. We end up asking to seat us on a booth that normally seats 4 people. read more

The only reason I'm leaving a single star is because there's not a lower option. No greeting when we came in. Asked for an orange soda; which was the only orange "soda" on the menu & got into an argument with the hostess about whether I meant Hi-C; which is not a soda, but a juice or the Fanta. Anyway.... first ones in, 4 people came in after & they were greeted, served prior to us. Our server never even introduced herself or welcomed us. Just approached the table and asked if we were ready to order. This location is in some SERIOUS need of micromanaging, until the staff can be trusted to work independently, friendly, helpful and efficiently. Don't waste your time, no matter how hungry or how bad you want breakfast. There are plenty of options in Boerne that will provide a far superior service & ambiance. read more

We got there at about 10:30 AM and waited for a few minutes just to be seated, then waited another 8-10 minutes for a server. The server Hayle, was so apologetic about the wait and took our order immediately. It took about 5 minutes to bring our breakfast. Wow that was quick! Hayle was very prompt, attentive, and did a great job of helping us. Pancakes were nice and hot, sausage and eggs were the same and great tasting. read more

WAY TOO GREASY!!!! Even the toast was nothing but soaked in fake butter. I asked for crispy bacon and it was barely cooked. Also my husband got nice thick cut bacon and his was crispy. I'm not sure why mine was paper thin and not cooked. read more

Warning!!! Today I ordered an Ultimate Omelet. Worst Breakfast I have had in awhile. Had to send back the Hash Browns they were over cooked beyond belief. How would a cook let that go to the window? The Omelet was stuffed with more bacon than what I expected. The menu stated the Omelet was stuffed with red pepper, mushrooms, onions and cheese, not bacon? The waitress asked if I would like Biscuits, so I ordered Biscuits. I got one biscuit, I asked the waitress where is my other biscuit she reply's you only get one. Why did you say biscuits then? After reading the reviews prior to going, I was a little leery. However, my group of four had a 20% off coupon, so what the hell. The start was a little shaky. The cashier person took a bit to seat is. In his defense, he had a few folks checking out. When seated, a second person took our drink order. OK so far. We went to Denny's at 12:30 on Sunday afternoon, bad time-I know. We sat at the counter, drinks served and the waitress acknowledge us with a big smile. Everyone, I mean EVERYONE, was hustling. Valerie, our waitress was going past us but still acknowledging us with smiles. We were joking with her about making sure to breathe. She had a great sense of humor and awesome attitude! The food-WOW!! The crepes were sooooo good!! My husband had an awesome breakfast-I know 12:30. The service, as short-handed as they were, my words, not there's, was fantastic! If I could give a zero I would! I showed up with my 19 month old at 900am. Signed myself into the waitlist with a crayon as the other people waiting told me to do. I patiently waited 20 minutes before being sat. Then I waited another 20 minutes before leaving. No one ever acknowledged me I asked the hostess who my server was, she never came back. I asked another server who my server was, he said they would be there shortly (I waited for 10 minutes after that ) I called the manager when I left who said "I guess we were busy" It's Sunday morning people! We went here for breakfast and they were out of potatoes. Then I ordered eggs and they were out of Chalula and Tabasco Sauce. This is not the first time this has happened. The food is good and the waiters and waitresses are very polite and good at their job...but the manager is horrible! She's abrupt...rude...cuts you off when you try talking to her. We have been coming to this Denny's for years now, and are almost never disappointed. The wait staff is usually on top of everything and very prompt. I've been to this Denny's for years. Unfortunately, it has slowly started to decline. The last couple of times have been very bad. For starters, there was hair in my pancakes, which were also cold. When I advised the manager, she said she was down a cook and cook times were slow. I expressed to her I would not pay for cold pancakes with a hair in it. She laughed and comped the meal, which I didn't eat. The second time I went I ordered 4 eggs over easy, ham and chicken apple sausage. After about a 30 minute wait, my food arrived and was very cold. I just ate it and told the waitress. She offered to fix it, but I'm not big in sending food back. The only reason I didn't give the restaurant 1 Star is because the waitress, Kaitlyn, is a superstar.
