went to Dennys on 09/28/24 at roughly 11:30pm. waited half an hour to order drinks, another half hour to order food. when we finally got our food my fathers never came out. we all had finished eating and he had still not gotten his. the waitress was doing her best, it was just her and the cook. after the cook made our food and others (not including my fathers) he went outside for what I assume was a smoke break. we waited another 15 minutes before getting our check. there were plates piling up on the warmer, not getting ran. the cook did not help the waitress even though they were busy. not to mention that he didn't even his job. we didn't leave until about 1:15. the waitress did her best. but it was very sad to see that she had no help or any other staff on a Saturday night. very disappointed with the restauran- not her. read more

Best Denny's I have been to in years. The tables and menus were very clean not sticky at all. The staff were very friendly. I have never seen a person work so hard and be pleasant and helpful. She definitely earned the 60% tip. read more

Can I give a zero star rating? Poor service and even worse food? Had to wait on our drinks. The tea was old. The coke was flat. My mom ordered chicken tenders and fries. That was burnt. She sent it back. The next plate was edible. I ordered an omelet with toast. The guy who brought our plates said he would be back with my toast. He never came back. We only saw our server once the whole time we were there. They weren't that busy so I have no clue what happened there. I will never go back. August 2021 - This restaurant has greatly improved from my last visit. We had a late breakfast because Monroe County is still in a lockdown and so we drove to Bedford. Our table was clean and wet but at least it was clean. Jacqueline, our young server, was polite and efficient. The food service was slow but that is expected these days. No problem. I had a Denver Omelette and hash browns and toast. The French Toast Slam looked excellent. BYO Slam was also ordered. All of the food was very good and prepared as ordered. read more

The third time I have recently visited this establishment recently and every time it is the same horrible service. The waitresses ignore new comers. The people trying to pay wait and wait and wait. 4 people out here and every single one of them walks past like they don't see anyone. And now the people behind me are being rude because I've been waiting on a table for 20mins when there are plenty of tables. The staff simply continues to ignore eveyone waiting for service. 2hrs 15mins in total. I will never visit this establishment again as long as I live. read more

For several months now through the winter of 21/22 and happens on a weekly basis... they have repeatedly been out of the most basic things: napkins sugar coffee pancake mix creamer forks to go boxes ketchup sodas straws eggs creamer burger patties etc. You get the point. This place used to be great and a typical Dennys. The service is great, however the management is absolutely awful. They have blamed it on shortages however every other restaurant has no problems whatsoever in Bedford. I would expect a huge corporation like Dennys to have the buying power to get the most basic things. I've simply just taken my business elsewhere, there are not a lot of choices here in BEDFORD, but every single one of them is much better than this Dennys. This has been an ongoing problem and I'm not sure I'll ever come back. The district supervisors and managers could care less about customer concerns regarding their supposed shortages. I do not recommend this location, so don't waste your time because the second you walk in you'll be told a huge list of things they don't have for the day! You're killing me Denny's. Get your act together. The last few times we've been there it's been filthy in the restaurant, and the servers look slovenly. I, at one time would eat there quite frequently. The only reason you're getting one star, is because you still serve pancake puppies. Well..We gave this place another shot today...not happy. We went around 3:30pm for an early dinner. There was only about 10 customers there. My husband ordered a double cheeseburger and onion rings, and I got a philly sub and onion rings ..I had sweet tea and hubby has lemonade, which he couldnt even drink. He said it tasted like it was in a dirty glass. Well, my sub was ok, but so soggy I had to eat it with a fork...my husbands hamburger wasn't any better. The onion rings were DISGUSTING! DARK AND GREASY! THE BILL WAS OVER $27.00 + tip. Denneys used to be our favorite, but not in this town. We need restaurants in Bedford BADLY so I dont want it to close, but They need to get some cooks in there!!! read more

Stopped in for a mid-day breakfast on Saturday the 29th because we were wanting some Belgian waffles. We figured we would get the same level of service that we get at the Bloomington Denny's restaurant. THAT was a BIG mistake... Stepped inside and the restaurant had kind of an "unclean" smell to it. I chalked that up to the humidity that day and figured it might be some off odors that could have been trapped in the carpet. Nothing too bad to scare us off -- yet. Placed our orders and waited almost 30 minutes for the food to come to the table. Our waitress had abandoned us to restock items at the tables in the meantime since there were probably only a dozen customers in the entire restaurant at that time. (This should have been a red flag since this was during what should have been peak lunch hours.) I ended up grabbing some creamer for my wife's coffee from another table since our waitress forgot to bring us some. While we're waiting, I'm watching the activities in the kitchen. There seemed to be some animosity between the wait staff and what I assume to be the head cook. Orders seemed to be getting taken out of order and food was more-or-less tossed up in the window when finished. I saw one of our Belgian waffles which sat in the window for about 15 minutes waiting for the other one to be finished and for our eggs and breakfast meats to be prepared. The capper to this was when the eggs were finally done, the head cook grabbed the already prepared bacon and sausage from some trays in the kitchen using his BARE HANDS and then tossing them on our dishes. During all the time I had been watching, he had been touching a lot of unclean surfaces in the kitchen as well as touching his face. The food finally came to our table and I asked the waitress if it was normal for kitchen staff to be handling prepared food with their bare hands like that. She said that the cooks were all wearing gloves, after which I told her I was looking at the cook as we were speaking and he was definitely NOT wearing gloves. She left the table and a moment later the manager stopped by the table to apologize for what had happened and offered to have a fresh order prepared for us. We declined and offered to pay for our drinks before leaving, but she said there would be no charge. While this was going on, I noticed the cook finally putting on gloves as we were preparing to leave only to see him a few seconds later out in the parking lot grabbing his smokes out of his car. Word of warning to anybody that eats here: try to sit within view of the kitchen area in case you see anything like this happening when you're there. This doesn't seem like it's unusual for this to happen at this restaurant. read more

We've had too many issues at Denny's in Bedford. We gave them too many "one last chance." I was appalled by the bug in my food, my meal was comped. During another visit, I found a used, washed, and dried part of a napkin in my food. The waitress just said it was a napkin and nothing to worry about. along with that, I ordered my sandwich without mushrooms and had mushrooms. Another visit resulted in onion in the pancakes followed by another visit that had onion flavored french toast. Then there was the time that they ordered the wrong gravy and served my 4 year old son a very spicy gravy that was so hot I could not stand it. We stopped going back. I've had some terrible service in my lifetime but this tops it, I wait tables myself and I usually always leave a couple dollars but I'm not leaving a dime. I have been going to Denny's in Bedford for years. Over the course of the last couple of years I noticed the restaurant looked dirtier and the food always came out luke warm. When I asked why the food wasn't hot, I was told that they didn't serve skillets hot because they didn't want the customers to burn themselves on the skillets. On the 14th of August, I took my son there for his birthday because he loves the specialty pancakes and it's his favorite place to eat. Immediately upon entering, we were greeted and taken to our seats. I noticed along the way to the table that everything looked spotless. After we had been seated and our order taken, the night manager came to our table to greet us and was most friendly. My son, as always, loved the pancakes. For the first time in nearly 2 years, my food came out piping hot; the skillet was sizzling. When we had finished our meal, the waitress and manager asked us how everything was. It's my understanding that the night manager is new there. The cleanliness, quality of food and welcoming environment are a testament to the job she is doing there! I don't know, maybe they took a break right after taking our orders of desserts but omg! All the workers were working so slow like they had been smoking marijuana out behind the building. Maybe behind the dumpsters because they also looked like scrubs that don't care about service at night. Whatever it was our family left early without eating because it took more than an hour for them to start bringing deserts for our small group of gatherers. We started getting upset when they started to bring food to people that arrived after us. When we asked what was the issue. Half of the the workers couldn't figure it out, and the other half stared like they were grateful that we were deciding to leave. It sucks, because the only worker that seemed to be able to handle the job kept staring at my wife. Well he seemed to be capable of doing the job until he made the excuse of only having one microwave to nuke the apple crisp. They ruined our good night out after celebrating the memorial of Christ Jesus. And I'm still hungry. read more

We eat here often and have always had good food and mostly good service, with very few exceptions. Their breakfast options are always the best choice, but their skillet meals are delicious. I also recommend their burgers since they do hand formed patties...excellent! Only complaint would be that they are a bit stingy on the fries. We always get the pancake puppies, they are stupid good! ;) read more
