Today I went to the Denny's on E. Brundage to receive my FREE Birthday Breakfast. I asked them if I could get it to go as there was no inside dining due to COVID. The hostess asked what we would like. I got my ID out of my wallet and said I would like my free breakfast. She said that they didn't do that unless you had a reward card. I told her that it says that all I had to do was show my ID and no sign up was needed. She said it had changed and she would go get the manager to explain it. I said that was not necessary and that it was false advertising in Google and that we would not be coming back to this Denny's. read more

This Denny's is on the way to my daughters house up highway 58 and we sometimes stop here for breakfast. On this last stop, things were not as good as our previous visits. We came on a weekday and it really wasn't that busy so we thought that we would be in and out in no time so it wouldn't take up our time in going to see the grandkids. Well I was wrong. Disaster from the get go. First we walked in and there were so many dirty tables we almost turned around and walked out it was disgusting, but we've been here before so we thought they must of been really busy before we got here. Then we asked if we could have a booth and the person who was going to seat us sighed and said it would be a few minutes they'll have to clean one. Well to the looks of it they would have to clean a table anyway. So we waited and it took about 5 minutes to get someone to clean one, really! We almost walked out but we were starving and the only other option was McDonalds and oatmeal at McDonalds was the only thing we can eat there and it wasn't what we were feeling at the time. So finally we were seated. Our waitress was friendly and promptly took our order and gave us coffee. But it took forever to get the food and it was cold when we got it. Cold eggs are not appealing so we sent them back. It took another 10 minutes to get the food back. So our simple eggs with fruit, toast and coffee took over and hour and a half when we've been here in and out on a busy saturday morning in 45 minutes. I guess it was a bad day. I will say the food here is always good. Eggs are always cooked right and not greasy, toast is usually buttered decent and the coffee is good for a restaurant and I am picky about coffee but they do have decent coffee. It is just a hit and miss on a day if you are going to get good or bad service. read more

Denny's, the name says it all. It's a little more then just our let's grab a bite to eat joint. It's our 24/7 gathering spot to get together over a meal place. It's a place where most of is probably don't need to look over the menu because it has the standard foods we like to order: Moon Over My Hammy, Short Stack, The Grand Slam, The All American, The Classic Burger, The Club Sandwich, and im sure you know about the $2, $4, $6, & $8 dollar menu (which is by the way, a good way to mix up your meal and stretch your dollar) When I walk into a Denny's I generally don't think much of the food because I'm use to it being a chain food corporate meal, but.......... Today's meal was different. Someone in that kitchen was cooking with LOVE. Everything was on point. I didn't need any extra salt or pepper to enhance the flavors, my egges were cook perfect!, my gravy was creamy and smooth, the pancakes were pretty. My husband and I just had dinner at Denny's, I had the build your own burger my husband had the patty melt. Everything was delicious we ordered a salad which was nice and cold and the lettuce was crisp and for dessert we also shared an apple crisp which was very delicious!! my family and I visited Denny's in hopes of what would be a good family dinner, there were 3 families in total. There wasn't anyone in the restaurant when we got here so we thought it was going to be no problem getting us in. Well, we didn't get our food till 10:30 pm(ONE WHOLE HOUR later). And when we did get the food only 4 of the whole table of 10 got their order (I have picture of the time as proof). My poor daughter had to stare at everyone eat while she insisted she was hungry. The Server heard her as well and she will attest to that.The other half of orders didn't arrive still another 30 minutes passed the original 4. So by the time the rest of the food got to the table everyone else's food was already cold. To top it off, the fries that 3 of us ordered had been old because they tasted like cardboard. We believe they were either refried or just old period. The Wheat pancakes were burnt (BLACK- have a picture of proof as well). And the French toast was soggy like they forgot to cook it. The coffee and hot chocolate were BOTH watered down and tasted old. The coffee was actually cold as well. All of this happened in one sitting. We came here to what we thought was going to be a nice family dinner since we don't get together often, and it turned out to be one of the worst experiences we've ever had. We then tried to explain to the manager what had happened and he discriminated against us by our race and sex and didn't NOT apologize. Instead he was talking down on my mother for using her AARP, which at the end he told her she couldn't use (did not state why). The food was good but they charged me $67 for pancakes and French toast! They charged me twice and the issue hasn't been fixed.

The service is bad I was outside waiting for my order that I placed online. It was already ready and sitting on the counter but no one was available to help and get me my food. The door was locked and there was a sign saying the chef was on a 45 minute break and a group of the employees friends were inside the restaurant walking up and down and talking to the employee while she was nowhere to be found at the front or answering the phone. I called multiple times but the phone didn't work it claimed the user was busy. It took over 10 minutes for her to finally come out and be seen and she acted as if she couldn't see me and I had to bang on the window for her to let me in and get me my food that was already cold and ended up being the wrong thing. The service is always poor here at night, don't waste your time to get frustrated with the lack of behavior the employees put into their job. read more

This is my favorite Denny's restaurant. Arturo and Jasmine are really nice and kind persons (waiters) THEY DO EXCELLENT!!! But the problem here (BIG PROBLEM) are the MANAGER AND HIS WIFE, they will treat you with disrespect, and get angry if you ask them something. That's terrible and disgusting. Christmas day and everything is closed for breakfast is closed except Denny's. It was kind of a zoo when we walked in but everyone had a great attitude. Then Jose the manager came to the front and had everything straightened out in about two minutes. As a guy who appreciates great leadership, I was impressed. It pays to be white. Come to this locations, tell them you're in a hurry and they will seat you, give you your menu, take your order and bring it out faster than anyone else. I saw this happen in front of my very eyes. The manager said he didn't mean for that to happen and apologized but it doesn't change the fact that it happen even after I mentioned they were sat down before other guest, order was taken before other guest. Just to add their (2 meals) order was taken and out in five minutes before ours (1 adult, 2kids) yet somehow our food came out almost 20 minutes after theirs did. NEVER ORDER FROM DENNYS.COM! Ordered online from this website. I got a confirmation email and a tracking link that showed the order should be delivered by 7:25pm. By 7:45 the tracking showed the order was being prepared but still hadn't been picked up. I called the restaurant to see what was up and no one picked up after 12 or so rings there was a beep and I left a msg. I called 7 more times and no one picked up the phone until 8:05pm. The mgr told me he had a number of complaints about this problem but that I had to order through grubhub or doordash and they're not allowed to deliver orders. REALLY??
