Went there on Presidents Day with 7 adults and 4 children. Told them I needed a seating for 12 people ( 1 didn't attend ). At that time they should have told me that they only had a manager, 1 server and 1 cook running the whole establishment and I would have taken my business elsewhere. Instead we waiting an hour and a half to be served our entrees and still everyone did not get served. Their excuse was that the orders were mixed up. Some of us were done with our meals for 15 minutes before others got served, and others had to take theirs to go, 2 hours in. My son, who worked in restaurant management went to talk to someone. Their resolve was to give us free dessert. No one wanted to stay and have them mess that up too. No one in our party received a discount on their bill. My son was in from the Marine Corps on a limited time and this was supposed to be a decent get together. Denny's made it a living hell. Now I can see why this location went out of business for years. Myself and 2 friends went to have something to eat and were seated. We waited and waited for someone to bring us a drink and take our orders. We sat there for over 25 minutes and were never spoken to. No water, no coffee, kiss my ass, go to hell...nothing. We just got up and left in frustration. No one seemed to care if we were there. We left after over 25 minutes of no attention. You'd think someone would ask what was wrong but I guess they'd have to care first. This placed closed a few years back and it will be closed again. Not sure who owns this place but it's pretty obvious they don't care either. Can't even say it was horrible service because there was NO service. The food. arrived at 9:55 pm a party of 4, we were the ONLY ones in the restaurant. waitress took our order right away, we received our drinks and then refills still no food around 10:40 she brings two of our plates, stating the cook had a bathroom emergency and she did get this out to us but the rest of the food burned on the grill. We ordered breakfast by the way no hard orders, my dad received part of his food, mine was wrong so I had to wait. when the rest came out in parts my mom her eggs not cooked right set back two fried eggs and got three fried eggs still not cooked right, my son still had to wait on his food came out wrong he is like I'm not saying anything like it will take forever to get it. the waitress comes out at the end and was like i talked to the manger she comped your meals, which i thought its free she was like no she only took 20% off I was like can i talk to the manager. she was like sure, she took forever to come over to us, she was like whats the problem? I'm like and told her everything that was wrong she seemed like it should not be a big deal, I explained how the cook went to the bathroom and our food was left to burn we had to wait i was like no one could have kept an eye on it, she was like oh no one knows how to cook. YOU ARE THE MANAGER you should know how to do every job there. she was like what do you want me to do? I said I'm not paying this bill and goes okay grabs the bill crumbles it up and walks away, she was rude, unprofessional. needless to say watching one of the employees eat food right of the grill was not to appealing either. I do not enjoy leaving bad reviews, but wow. Upon walking in the door, we stood at the front directly in front of an older woman (looked like the manager) and two younger males for about two whole minutes without as much as eye contact or a hello. The older manager very slowly and confused tried to seat us, but when walking over to the booths she just kind of stood there, examined each table, while basically turning around in a circle before she decided which booth to seat us at. She took our drink orders and never came back with them. After our waitress asking us twice what we ordered to drink, the manager came over 15 minutes later with our water and coffee, which was obviously old and burnt. They were out of regular creamer too. Our app order was taken promptly, as was our food order. I can say I was very happy with the time it took for the food to come out, and it wasn't half bad. We had the nachos, which is basically manwich from a can poured on top of chips. I liked them.. I mean it's Denny's... I don't expect much, but go figure they were out of sour cream too, which we were told as the food was dropped off. Our entrees came out promptly, and were ok. No temperature was asked for my burger so it was well done. I like medium rare but again, not picky, I ate what I could. The manager blankly walked around the restaurant extremely slowly throughout my whole meal. She looked as if she had no idea what was going on, I'm not sure if it was her old age or if she was on something but it did not look normal. The phone rang and rang and rang and no one picked it up. Tables were being sat at dirty booths, everyone's drink around our table was empty. I noticed there was a sign looking for help in all areas.... and I work in a restaurant so I completely understand being short staffed. What bothered me was with all the phones ringing, dirty tables, and unhappy customers, where is the freaking staff???? Someone walked in to be seated, and a young black man came out from the kitchen eating something and covering his mouth. If you're this behind, why are you eating in the kitchen???? I can't blame anyone individually, but there was clear lack of communication and leadership. We left full but I just am baffled by the way this restaurant is run. Make sure you come ready to be patiently waiting. The worst part is, everyone was so nice, just had no idea what they were doing. I really think this Denny's needs a 5 star for the awesome service from Tim and the food was great. I loved the Mediterranean Grilled Chicken with wild rice and a salad. My wife and I stopped in the Mahoning ave. Denny's in Austintown for a breakfast. This is absolutely the worst breakfast I have ever gotten, not just at a Denny's but anywhere. I ordered the Philly cheese steak omlet with hash browns and Texas toast. The hashbrown's were burnt so bad they just crumbled when I touched them with my fork. The meat in my omlet was like tiny charcoal briqettes and the peppers, mushrooms, and onions were either dark brown or black and crunchy. On a positive note my toast was good. My wife's breakfast was at least edible. Basically an egg sandwich on toast but her home fries were really dry and flavorless, like little squats of Styrofoam. The girl waiting on our table was really nice and offered to bring me something else but I learned my lesson. She didn't charge me for my breakfast. I will never eat in that establishment again. read more

I will probably NEVER return to this Dennys location again 7-15-16. If I could give a 1/2 star I would because the place was clean and remodeled, but I normally will not put a name of and employee either great or horrible. Nevertheless, Erin is HORRIBLE AT HER JOB AS A SERVER!!! 1. Got to the table and never said her name, did not have on a name tag( I only know her name because it was on the receipt,) and said " you guys know what you're having?" No introduction at all, but the time for her to come to tge table was fine about 5-7 mins at about 10:20 pm. 2. The order was for sausage biscuit, very soft scrambled eggs and crispy hashbrowns. the server acted as if this order was foreign to her, so I don't know what she wrote on the order slip but, 3. The food came with hard scrambled eggs and soft hashbrowns that were sitting in a pool if oil, I immediately asked for a different order of hashbrowns crispy with less oil, the server rolled her eyes and went to the kitchen and yelled "I need a reorder on the hashbrowns" (there must have been some conversation from the cook that I couldn't hear because the next thing I hear her say is "I don't know, he said no oil." 4. Server then comes out into the prep station where they refill drinks and and get items ang proceeds to discuss my order with another server. AGAIN THE SERVER IS HORRIBLE AT HER JOB!!! 5. She brings the reorder and says " they said this is any crispy as they can get with no oil." Before she leaves the table I ask for the check, I did eat the biscuit covered in sausage gravy 2 bites of the hard eggs, remember that my order was for very soft scrambled eggs and a cup of tea. Now she did take 1.50 off the bill that I didn't ask for maybe she seen basically all that I ordered still on the table and felt bad. I was cashed out & in my truck by 10:47pm She needs some additional training or to consider a employment change. read more

Went for breakfast with my husband and son. We got to our table fast but the service was very slow. Our food was lukewarm took them a long time to come around for to give us I refill on our coffee. Looking into the kitchen you can see that someone came in that had on a regular jacket and hat no gloves and started helping preparing the meals. Touching the toast and bacon with his bare hands or long sleeve shirt to cover up their hairy arms. The young lady at the cash register was really nice. read more

I love Denny's! But however this one waitress was really rude. She has light brown hair and it's curly. She was very rude to my family and when my grandmother was asking about the special rudolf cups she said in a rude voice "well you are probably not getting one because I don't think they are in yet." So we showed her the little paper on the table about it so she sighed rudely and said "whatever I will go get it." And then she drops a bunch of plates at our table and they all shattered so she angrily marched in the kitchen not even apologizing about our food and glass got all over the other tables booth so the people from the other table just left. read more

We received a coupon in the mail for their "Grand Re-opening" due to a remodelling and new promo so thought we give it a try. We been to this restaurant before a few. And it never fails to dissapoint everytime but this one took the cake, hence the reason why im writting this to for you to hopefully get some actions done to this. We came in around 11:30 and it was pretty busy considering theres only 2 servers on the floor, we asked one of the server if we can sit on the window and told us to sit ourself and she will be there, she gave us the menu asked us what we wanted to drink and told us that the other server will the right there. 15minutes passed and there was no sign of at least her telling us that she will be there, we almost thought she forgot about us. Now i could understand that it is busy but at least acknowledging the guest even if you are passing by is enough for a reassurance that she will be here. She finally came and took our order. I got the new Prime Rib Philly special and my girlfriend got the Bourbon Chicken Skillet with an additional side of Mac N' Cheese. The food arrived at a pretty decent time, but I already know somethin is wrong with her food. She ordered a Skillet. Now I've been to a lot of restaurants that serves skillets and know a structure of how its made. a freshly made skillet should have a sizzling ooze and the pan where it sits must be crazy hot. This pan was bare minimum warm... The brocolli that was on this skillet was microwaved and slabbed on top like it was randomly dropped out of nowhere. This broccoli is something that you would see in a dollar general microwaved broccolis. The sause was cold and the chicken was microwave. I almost felt like theyre giving us hints that our food was straight out of microwave. The Mac N' Cheese that she got was was taken out off a tupperware or something. Do you know how i know that? You can still see the containers shape on the Mac N' Cheese, the whole outline of it! The server came back and ask how are we and made a comment about how the Mac N' Cheese "was so good it tastes like Kraft". Well, it probably is, one of those dollar mac. It was cold and has barely and cheese. The new Prime Rib Philly was good. Mine was cooked nicely althought, i didnt really get a lot of the steak in it. Alot was filled with the peppers. After a few tries of getting our servers attention to just eliminate her meal, she finally did. We told her about our concern and she took it off the table, without asking if she wanted anything else or maybe a dessert. Placed and online order and was giving a time of 20 mins. Went in and had to wait another 30 minutes before I got my order. Of course, I'm upset by it. The purpose of paying in advance is so that you dont have to wait. Instead of the owner (Denise) addressing the issue and fixing the problem, she rudely pointed her fingers in my face and told me to leave! I wasnt rude or hostile, just asked for my money back. All this while customers stood there watching. And then on top of that, my order was completely wrong and was cold by the time I got home. This Denny's has been very good in the past. Our family goes about once a month for breakfast. So, this review is for today's breakfast and a warning to stay away until the cooks are trained. Party of three, took 30 minutes to get our food. New waiter and new cook. Not the waiter's fault and we tipped him 20%. He was 4 days new on the job and we give benefit of the doubt where possible to new people. Eggs over medium for two of us were snotty and ran all over the plate. The food was not hot, must have sat for a while. Waiter said we are waiting on hash browns. My hash browns were good, one other was raw, not browned at all and still semi-frozen in spots. The bacon was PAPER THIN. Never saw anything like it and was not cooked enough. Another meal's red skin potatoes were so over salted they could not eat them. Other tables around us were also complaining of the same things. They did take one of the meals off the bill and gave us a $5 certificate, so I do feel they tried to make it right. Skip this place for breakfast at least until they get the staff together. Where is the manager to train these people? read more
