Kid forgot drinks then order my food came back 5 mins later and told me they were out of the lasagna and the service was bad the food had bad quality didnt taste good at all the servers broke my eggs and put another plate on my food and then handed it too me bad service and food there was menu under the legs of tables where the table was wobbly and the table that we were at kept moving around in circles. Now the food took forever to get out the service sucked close this place down this place probably the worst dennys ive been too and the server was licking stuff off his finger and the manager didnt do nothing about it its a health risk and a hazard for all health i will be making a report to the health department. Both orders arrived lukewarm, both orders of eggs were overcooked and the hash browns were undercooked. We didn't want to send them back because we didn't want to wait another 15 minutes. On a recent drive to Lubbock, we needed a quick bite and there were not many options on the drive. We like Denny's back home, so you would think it would be good here as well. Wrong! I will say our waitress was very nice, but looked totally overwhelmed. I ordered my usual breakfast sandwich which comes with a side of hashbrowns. When it arrived, I could see the waitress was embarrassed and took off quickly. They were burnt to a crisp. She came back after seeing our faces and she knew exactly what was wrong. I could hear here telling the cook to make a new order and try not to burn it this time. The new order came and it was barely cooked. At this point, I knew they were being obnoxious and I chalked it up as a loss. The sandwich even tasted different than the times I have had it elsewhere. I ordered the turkey and dressing plate. I waited 30 minutes to be served. The food was cold and I asked the waitress to bring me a plate with hot food. She said she would get me another plate of food. When she returned it was the same plate of food that had been warmed up in a microwave. The turkey was tough and dry. Needless to say I did not enjoy my meal. Also, the temperature outside was about 50 degrees and the inside of the restaurant was about the same. If I could give 0 stars I would. First of all we showed up and waited to be seated, 2 people went to the podium didn't even greet us. One lady came and asked us if it was two of us and sat us down at a booth, she took our drink order. Then our actual waitress brought our drinks and took our order and it took an hour for us to get our food. She did refill my friend's drink. But we waited for an hour for our check. I had to get up to ask for our check. Another girl brought it to us stating that our waitress had left for break. In the past at other places when our server/waitress leaves for a break they have the courtesy to bring us the check and tell us they are leaving. If you work for tips, being polite, and courteous should be on top of your agenda. It seems like everyone there had an attitude. Then my friend went to use her her coupon on the Dennys app and this "blonde" girl with giant eyelashes and a piercing on her lip tapped the sign on her counter without talking to her that they didn't take local coupons, my friend said it's not local it's the app. She proceeded to tell us the balance. Always a safe haven for americana traditional foods. This Denny's is little different than any you have visited in the past. Maybe being located in west Texas you will find the people here are more polite and openly hospitable. Food is not great but the portions are large and I was able to maintain my Palio diet by ordering a skillet plate. Not really sure how this cave people crafted skillets but I'm just a Mechanical Engineer, not a historian. Our only problem was checking out. We had to meet up with a tour at ACU and waited at the register an awfully long time. They said they were understaffed that day, so I'm okay and plan to come back. read more

So I come in at 5:15 after a long hot day at work to get something to eat. I get seated and take a look at the menu and decide on an 8oz sirloin med-well. Robert up front and Trevor in the kitchen are always top notch. If this location has let you down in the past, I recommend giving them another shot. My husband and I had went for breakfast this morning not realizing we showed up during a church rush! it was super busy however our server Haili was phenomenal! She was definitely busy but always made sure we were taken care of along with the tables besides us. What a nightmare! It's Sunday morning breakfast, but there are plenty of open tables. We were seated and she took our drink order. And...then...we...waited. After 15 minutes she brings our water and coffee, and took our order. And...then...we...waited. 30 minutes has gone by. 45 minutes has gone by. We watched the 4 tables that came in after us order, get served, eat, and leave. Still no food. Even a different waitress asked if our order had been taken. The guy that I think is the manager looked at our table with no food on it multiple times. Finally, exactly 1 hour after we arrived, we have food. Rejoice! Wait...my order is wrong. There is a missing item. We begin eating. When the missing item finally arrives, I put it in the to go box with the rest of my order. I asked if this wait time was normal. She just replied "sorry". The guy at the register offered me a discount. I told him no, because the food and service was good, but your kitchen sucks. An hour wait should mean a comped meal, not a 10% discount. We were greeted and promptly sat. (That's 1*)... Then we were also greeted at the table by a very stern and unfriendly server who was obviously training someone and had no problem whatsoever letting everyone know it was HIM that was being trained and not her. She was rude tot he other staff, including the young man she was training. Ok y'all. When I say this lady was rude I mean disgustingly rude. She had the personality of a broken door jam!!! I asked for my eggs scrambled with cheese ON TOP. She said "no. The cheese is scrambled inside the eggs". It took some convincing but when my husbands eggs came that were ordered the exact same way they came with the cheese scrambled inside. I usually do not make that big of a deal about things but omg... that rudeness. And you cannot tell me management (which we never even saw) doesn't see/hear the way she speaks to people. I could understand if she just didn't have a sense of humor, but no. She was rude. Now the reason I gave the 2nd * The gentleman she was training was really pleasant. He smiled and laughed with us and the tables around us. But don't worry y'all! I told him just because she is training him doesn't mean he has to take on her style or personality. So there's at least some hope for him. For the record. Everyone else was being pleasant and friendly and nice to one another. This particular location is a NO from me. The next time we come to town we will be having breakfast at the Holiday Inn where we stay. But it was my birthday and my kiddos wanted to take me to breakfast.
