A family member suggested I call Dennis for assistance with a large hornet nest on my second floor. He answered the phone when I called and made an appointment for Saturday at 9. I was concerned that the nest was so high up (almost at my roof line). I was extremely happy when the service tech arrived on time, assessed the situation and within less than 30 minutes removed the nest. They also provided a six month warranty! Only half the time they will answer their phone and whenever they are on the phone with me, they will tell me they will call me back, but they NEVER DID. This review was prompted by my phenomenal experience today. For the past couple of months we've had an intermittent smell coming from inside the closet next to our garage. I reached out to this company last year to treat termites. They guaranteed me a five year warranty. Now, one year later, the termites came back. I called Dennis and he said he would be here on Saturday morning at 9:00 am. I took the day off work and waited for him. He never showed. I called several times and got no answer. When I called from a different phone, he answered the phone right away. He then told me that he could not come anymore. He told me to call him on Monday morning and that he would be there Monday afternoon. I called several times on Monday and again, I got no answer. I called from a different phone number once again and he answered. He told me that he could no longer come on Monday. When I reminded him that I had a five year warranty, he got angry. He told me that he would be there at 12:00 and then hung up on me. Rather than arrive at 12:00, a man showed up at 11:00. He was pounding on the door, disturbing my 72 year old mother. The man only stayed for ten minutes and then left. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I missed two days of work and was treated terribly by the owner. Of the people here, I seem to have had the one bad experience. Dennis was recommended to me for a pest problem. He send out a tech to set up glue traps. Tech was supposed to come back to look at them, but never did. Dennis gave an excuse about a hospital. I should have learned my lesson, but I bought it -- it sounded plausible enough -- and I decided to move forward with him. We set up a time for his company to come in to spray. * He asked me to move all furniture 18 inches from the wall. * He asked me to empty all chest and dressers into my bathroom. * He asked me to vacuum all crevices in all furniture. * He asked me to do a whole bunch of other preparation. This was a full day of perspiration. Then he never showed up. Fool me once, shame on you. Full me twice, shame on me. I called. I SMSed. I emailed. I called a bunch more times. No response. Eventually, well past the time, he SMSes saying he won't make it, and asks to come by another day. I call him back. Doesn't pick up. My whole house is like a war zone, with my bathrooms and kitchens packed full of everything from my closet, and he's clearly not showing. I had company from out-of-town the next day. I called around until I found another pest control company who could come in and finish the job. $150 extra (over his quote), 3 months warranty less, and 1 extra vacation day later, my place was sprayed by another company. And of course, Dennis hung onto the (nominal) amount for the first visit with the glue traps. Edit: Business owner responded two years later with random false accusations, such as my place being "full of clutter". I'm not sure where those came from. Given that they NEVER SHOWED UP, they have absolutely no idea what the state of my place was. I spent a full day preparing the place, and I thought I did a very nice job. The other company (B&B Pest, whom I highly recommend) thought so too. Most of the rest of the owners' response are either bold-faced lies, or confusing me for someone else. In either case, if, as a customer, after getting stood up, billed for an incomplete service, you want to also get insulted and slandered online two years later (note the aggression and lack of an apology), Dennis is your man. read more

Please be advised this is not a reliable pest service!! We live in an old condo in the city with three units in the entire building, and around June 2017 our upstairs neighbor told us she had mice. There was a lot of construction going on in our neighbor so naturally this was bound to happen. we live on the bottom floor and hadn't noticed anything until a few weeks after she had told us, we started to see mice droppings as an association we got a quote from terminx which was a little over 1000 dollars plus an additional 200 dollars annually this quote seemed absurd so I got Dennis the mennis' number from my parents who used him for a squirrel problem in my childhood house, their problem was fixed and he gave them a great warranty. When he came he placed a bunch of bait traps around our units and said to call back in a month and he can fill the holes he also gave us a three month warranty. A few weeks later we noticed a ton of mice droppings and crumbs from various food items on the floor of our pantry I called him back to ask if this was normal and he said he would swing by and check our bait traps when he arrived he said the bait traps were fine and the mice weren't really eating the bait. After a little over a month went by we called him back to fill the holes, he came and "filled the holes" with spray foam he failed to go down stairs where our storage unit is, where when he first came said that this is where the majority of the problem is. He also filled some holes in our utility closet but when I got home from work that day I noticed it had mostly dripped all over the floor and there were still plenty of holes around our unit that weren't filled. Unfortunately my boy friend and I weren't there the day he filled the holes as we were working but one of our friends let him in. The night after he filled our holes we woke up the next morning to a ton of mice droppings in one of our closets under the stairs I called him back the next day and told him what had happened and he scheduled a time to come it was supposed to be between 10-12 well 12 o'clock rolled and around and no one had come so I called the main office mind you I'm a nurse and has worked a 12 hour night shift the night before and hadn't slept when I spoke with Dennis he said they had tried to call me this am a few times to cancel, but must have had the wrong number when I asked why they hadn't called the main office seeing as you have the correct number he flew off the handle and began yelling at me he stated when do you want us to come!! Give me a time!! We set up another time only to be canceled on again because their "truck was broken" we set up a third time this time someone did come but he said he needed to go back to his boss and make a plan on how he could fill the holes? Last time I checked I thought you were the boss as I speak with you on the phone every time? Very bizarre. We set up yet another appointment which was supposed to be this morning but we were canceled on again. I was unable to get to the phone as I was in the middle of something at work. I quickly texted my boyfriend to let him know as he was leaving work to let Dennis in when my boyfriend called to see what had happened Dennis flew off the handle and asked him if he was a damn liberal who voted for Obama and that all you young liberals can't wait and if you don't pick Saturday for them to come he's not coming at all. I was so taken a back by this comment I wasn't sure at first what I should do. We have taken this matter further up to into someone else's hands. But please be advised this man is scamming people and is so unprofessional in many ways. My boyfriend tried to explain to him someone had come out Friday and asked us to make another appointment. But Dennis continued to cut him off and yell at him. Their communication is nothing but a disgrace and I'm not sure they actually know how to treat any sort of pests. He claims he has been in this business for over 35 years but if that's the case shouldn't you be able to solve a small mice problem? Would never recommend him to anyone!! read more

Had an ant probelm they came out treated the house and said they guaranteed it for 3 months. The ants showed up a few weeks later. I called to get them back out again and they never showed up. Called them back again and they finally came out again. Ants came back again, called Dennis the Mennis again set an appointment again and they blew me off AGAIN. Had to call back again said they were running an hour behind and should be here soon. Too many damn AGAINS with this company and not good ones!!! read more

Placed open bait stations in areas accessible to my pets some in closed little cardboard boxes. My pit bull got into bait stations and almost lost him. Luckily I was able to force him to vomit using a turkey baster filled with peroxide down his throat. This was about 10 years ago but there was no way to share my experience until now. I hired him to help me get rid of a squirrel issue I had and when I had another issue several weeks later, the owner himself came out twice and called me to let me know it was an issue with a bat. I can not say enough about how happy I am with the customer service! I thought my daughter might have bed bugs. I took a pic and without hesitation threw everything in the trash. I was so freaked out. I contacted Dennis the Mennis and told him what was going on. He was very calming and even sent me tips to prepare in case it was. I even sent the picture and he did not just say yes that is a bed bug, he said it was hard to tell. He said he could come over the next morning. An employee Mark came over and thoroughly went thru the mattress and boxspring outside, my daughters room, dresser, her bed frame, I had him look in my room, on my bed, bed frame everywhere and he said he did not see any evidence. Still freaked out I kept saying are you sure and he said I could easily tell you there is evidence and sell you a treatment, but I do hundreds of inspections and there is no signs of it. You have no idea how relieved I am. The best thing was he did this inspection for FREE. Being a single a mom and on a very tight budget it was a relief. I contacted 6 other exterminators and 3 told me it was a bed bug by pic and other 3 said it wasn't. All the other companies were charging 100-150.00 for just inspection and had already stated it would cost me from 650-2000.00 to treat, that it was a bed bug without even coming to my house. So, with that said, I don't understand the poor reviews. Customer service was fantastic. There was no evidence by me prior to that one pic of any other bug, then the one pic. We should have read about this company prior to using them because we too were scammed by Dennis. He was so prompt in answering the phone when we initially called him for our mice problem. He promptly scheduled an appointment to come out and put traps around. As he said it would be a two step approach. They would come back and fill the holes where the mice were coming in. We paid him $234 upfront like he asked. Well getting him back for the 2nd step to seal up everything didn't happen. He canceled the first appointment saying his tech had a kidney stone. Made another appointment and never showed. Dennis who was so prompt in picking up the phone the first time we called didn't pick up the phone nor did he answer any of the three messages I left him as to why he never showed. We hired them three years ago for a bat problem in the attic. They have come back four times, but the bats have been persistent and this company cannot get rid of them. Your company came into my apartment to check for bats and mice. My landlord states he has a report that states no infestation. How can you write a bogus report and have done a thorough job when I have had 15 plus bats in the apartment. Mice droppings in my back hallways and mice dropping in my cabinets and draws. i recently had a window put in my daughters bedroom. much to my horror the casing and entire area of the window were infested with 3 different types of ants. My carpenter did not feel comfortable spraying the area as there were too many ants and nests and he felt i needed an exterminator. I called Dennis the Mennis and Dennis the owner had someone at my house within an hour.. I was extremely upset and mark and dennis (not the owner) the technicians assured me they could take care of this upsetting problem. and told me not to worry. They took care of the window infestation and sprayed the entire outside of the house. After a couple of days there were still some residual ants that still were flying around and the techs came right down and took care of the problem. As of now I believe they are all dead. .They have all been courteous and very professional and extremely reasonable.
