My family member was a patient of Dr . mark for over 2 years. I was able to see that as a Dr she certainly wants to help patients feel better. We found however that she not only misdiagnosed my family members illness, but also tried to treat the condition with so many varied medications that
the patient went down hill rapidly, physically and emotionally. The multiple med prescribed had many combined negative consequences to the patients health. Steroids, sleep meds, antidep., along with to many unproven supplements to mention.
Dr marks office visits or phone calls are also a more a barrage of her talking about her various opinions about different treatments, while lacking deeper listening to what is really going on with the patient.
The Dr apts. are extremely inefficient and poorly managed, waits of over an hour are common.
Phone apts are not very insightful, she explains a treatment plan full of trials of medical opinion, with out listening to the patient.
After leaving Dr Marks practice we found a more adept physician. Who did not look at everything as an endocrine disorder. We received a far more accurate diagnosis , which required my family member to "unwind" and titration off the 8 different prescriptions and supplements Dr Mark had prescribed , some meds were in conflict with others ! This was not only a huge expense, but also a struggle that regain ones health and recover from the big detour of a mis diagnosis. She seems to diagnose and prescribe based on what she routinely does for her other patients but not listening to each individual's history . Get second opinions, lesson learned. read more
